Relaxing Stay

After a very warm welcome from Helen, the property owner, my family and I enjoyed a very relaxing weekend. We enjoyed jumping in the hot tub, bbqs and the boys had fun playing football in the open space around the cabin. Such a lovely, friendly place to visit, we will be returning.

Bank Holiday weekend break

Helen is a fabulous host, she welcomed us on arrival and told us about some local walks. The cabin was lovely and the hot tub was a great way to relax after a days walking 😬

Great Staycation!

My husband and I had a lovely stay in the log cabin. Helen was a fantastic host and gave us good information about what sites to visit. We will definitely book again as there’s so much more to explore! The hot tub was so good for my poorly back I didn’t want to get out! Thank you for a wonderful time. From Jenny and Michael

If you are looking for peace and tranquility with stunning views in the middle of nowhere then this is the place. Hexham is about 30 minutes away, and Newcastle about an hour and stunning little villages dotted all around and the moors of Northumberland about 20 minutes away and the four of the areas famous castles within 75 minutes. If you are not used to rural driving beware, Roads are often single lane, with steep hills and very sharp bends and often slow moving farm machinery just around the corner! The log cabin has everything you need including an outdoor hot tub and fire pit. Don't expect high end designer fixutes and fittings - Its a log cabin but everything is functional clean and in working order ( Although the kitcken is fully fitted and modern ) People with disabilities are also fully catered for. It is probably worth taking your food with you as while there is a shop in the village it is a small one, big supermarkets are to be found in either Hexham, Carlile or Morpeth. The Host lives about 500 yards away and can be with you very quickly if required,or if you have aproblem but just lets you just do your own thing without checking on you all the time -so perfect balance really!Would I return - Absolutley

Disappointing

Hot tub was broken for the whole duration of our stay. Had messaged owner a couple of days before arrival to double check hot tub would definitely be on and told yes. Double bed the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in - almost a week later, my back and hips are still aching. No welcome pack offered.

Thank you for your feedback. It is always disappointing when an electrical piece of equipment breaks down. However, it is fair to point out that the hot tub was in full working order when you checked in and you did use it Friday evening. I tried to get a technician out on the Saturday morning but unfortunately they were unable to assist. You were offered compensation which you agreed to take and you also decided to stay the second night. As an owner I feel I did everything possible to try and rectify the problem. So sorry you felt the need to rate our 5 star accommodation as 1 star.

Beautiful cabin and location

Myself, my husband and two friends stayed here. The hot tub was lovely and warm ready for us to use on arrival, also very clean. The cabin had everything we needed with the exception of one thing, oven gloves. No big deal of course. The markings around the oven had been wiped off which made it almost impossible to figure out. Helen did mention to my husband it’s on her to do list though. We would definitely come back though. A stunning part of the country with views that I’ll never forget. Lots of places of interest nearby and great walking routes. The wee village pub is very nice too and only minutes walk from cabin. Thanks Helen for checking in with us and we hope to come back some day.

The property was situated in a fantastic place, lovely and clean, big field out the front of cabin where our dog loved running about and playing.. family friendly and the host Helen was amazing and very very helpful.. I would recommend anyone to stay..

Beautiful Cabin

We stayed for 2 nights, cabin has everything you need Hot Tub has beautiful views. Set in a lovely area we used the local Indian takeaway and it was amazing. Helen was quick to answer any questions we had and also popped down to see us. We travelled to Kielder and Sycamore Gap whilst staying.

Gate way to history

The log cabin was naturally warm and cosy with stunning views and good facilities. It's in a great location to visit lots of historical sites and has a local village that has very friendly people. places to eat and drink plus shops available for local food.

Lovely weekend

Lovely setting, excellent and helpful host. Hot tub very nice though it did seem to fade the colour on certain costume fabrics which has never happened before in other hot tubs I've used. Good facilities in cabin. Lovely area, Would definitely revisit again if holidaying in area.

Cosy Cabin

Everything went smoothly and Helen made us feel welcome. Great place to stay for Hadrian’s Wall! We enjoyed our trip to Lower Force too. A lovely, cosy cabin to stay in.

Spectacular views and surroundings

Beutiful log cabin that was very well insulated, half expected to be wrapped up to escape the cold, the cabins are very warm and cozy, nice clean hot tub to appreciate the outdoors and take in the views. Helen did come to introduce herself and to ask if we needed anything to just ask.

Relaxing stay

Really loved staying here. The view was fantastic from the hot tub. Hot tub fabulous after lovely long walks exploring the nearby countryside. Peaceful and relaxing. Just what we needed.
