Our stay in Madrid

This apartment is wonderfully updated and very nice. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. Everything was within walking distance and we had a great time exploring the city. The only downside was construction waking us up early in the morning and a large water leak coming through the ceiling in the kitchen. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Excellent appartment, perfect location, poor quality for the check in and check out service

perfet location, clean and nice appartment Wr received an e-mail saying "please let us know if you need any change for you check in. We asked to leave in a corner two small trolley for one hour (untill 12am) in the flat, and we had "it is not possible" answer. It should be nice to find a solution to keep my luggadge one hour after the check out... Luisa should improve her way of working :-)

Location great but service was the worse we have experienced in our travels

Large,bright, nicely decorated, absolutely perfect location, but we had a terrible time contacting the person for an address. Tried at least 5 times with no response. We finally were able to get thru on the phone once. The apartment had no dishwasher soap or laundry soap (we stayed 7 days so spent over 60euros on just this) tiny bit of toilet paper, no dish towels, one towel and one hand towel. The greeter was 15 minutes late and did not explain how any of the appliances worked. If we had not checked the Wifi she would have given us the wrong name and password. She just seemed to want to get to her next renter. There was lots of construction and the apartment was loud and dusty.

Hi Kathrene, that's why we beg for an arrival time. We don't want you to wait for us or being lost in Madrid, so very important CONTACT US before leave your country. Of course there's a washing machine, but if you want to do the laundry, you have to buy all the things youu need to, because if I do, you'll write you don't like the soap, because you prefer the another one, so each one buy the loved one.

Overrated

The booking and payment on VRBO was fallowed by the property management company demanding a euro bank transfer as a deposit on a short time or they would cancel. After the transfer was made they would not repairs for nearly 10 days to confirm receipt. After they eventually confirmed following multiple messages things seem to go well and access to the property was easy. The apartment itself lacked some of the basics, like bath soap in each bathroom or trashcans. One of the WC and Bedrooms smelled a bit like sewer. The street below is incredibly noisy so the person sleeping in the living room will have to deal with that all night long, plus light since one of the shutters cannot be closed. Location is very much in the heart of the tourist area which may not be a first choice for some. Now I only hope I can get my deposit back without a delay.

Terrific location, quiet, roomy and comfortable apartment

This 2 BR, 2BA apartment was wonderfully located, a stone's throw from the Puerta del Sol. It was roomy, clean and comfortable. The beds might have been double beds (as opposed to queen). Perhaps you will want to confirm the size. If you are a couple who don't mind sleeping in separate rooms, no problem! Beds were very comfortable. One thing we really liked was that the showers were larger than the usual European showers, and had complete glass doors instead of the usual plexiglas partial screen you find a lot of places. The earlier comment about graffiti helped us locate the place, but really, in cities in Europe, you are going to have graffiti! Too bad though because the wooden doors to the outside of the building would probably be beautiful without the "street art." Although the apartment itself was fine, when you first enter the building, it seemed to have a stale smoke smell. We happened to be staying in this apartment during the feast of the patron saint of Madrid (mid-May). There was a lot of joyful partying in the street below, but our bedrooms were quiet and veritably sound-proof. Although the kitchen had new and very nice appliances (no oven though), there was no coffee maker (not even a French press). There were a number of coffee-sellers nearby, most were not open early. There were no dish towels . A roll of paper towels was supplied, and appreciated. Only one bathtowel and handtowel per person for the entire 3-night stay. Would be nice to have more. (Were we supposed to do laundry?--we never have figured out how you dry clothes in one of those washer/dryer combination machines.) There was a mix up about our pre-arranged airport pick up, but it was easy to get a cab instead, and cheaper. After we booked, it was hard to get in touch with the owner; definitely cause for anxiety not to be able to get answers to simple questions such as "have you booked our pick up at the airport?" "how much is it?" "How do we get into the apartment?" "What time can we check in?" All's well that end's well, but grew a few gray hairs in the process.

inmejorable Localización

la limpieza del apartamento. los dormitorios con camas y colchones muy cómodos y muy silenciosos a pesar de estar emplean calle preciados. muy seguros. Aprecie mucho que tuvieran elevador ya que viaje con 2 adultos mayores. nos ayudaron organizar nuestra llegada enviando un transfer a recogernos. excelente atención al cliente.

La mejor ubicación

Más céntrico imposible, ideal para moverse por todos los lugares de interés. Apartamento espacioso y cómodo. Atención excelente y personalizada, por temas de tráfico nos retrasamos un poco para la entrada y muy amablemente lo entendieron y esperaron nuestra llegada. Vimos las campanadas de forma cómoda y sin aglomeraciones. Se cumplieron todas nuestras expectativas. Totalmente recomendable. Agradecemos a Leticia su gran trato.

Perfect if you like dealing with loud construction noise and a lot of dust

I had read the other reviews and so I was prepared for the graffiti door. The communication with the property management company was not great though. I sent 4 emails trying to nail down the check in details without a single reply. I finally called and reached someone that said they would send someone to meet us at the unit and to call them the next day when we arrived at the airport. I called 4 times and no one ever answered. I also sent emails and ended up waiting for about 20 minutes outside the door and was about ready to leave and get a hotel room. As a last ditch effort I decided to ring what I thought was a person in another apartment to see if they would let me in the front door. Luckily it ended up being someone in the apartment we were going to check into, even though it had a different floor number. To be fair, the actual apartment and its location are both pretty good. What was not good, was the huge construction project going on in the building! Lights were mostly out in the hall ways and foyer, there was debris and terrible dust everywhere...a super fine dust that even got into the apartment. We were constantly sneezing and coughing. The construction starts at 7 am and there is loud jack hammering, pounding, sawing, banging and shouting. Some of the loudest noises I've ever heard and impossible to sleep through. There was a worker that smoked outside our doorway and so we got a smokey smell along with a good deal of dust. My biggest disappointment is that there was never a mention of this to us prior to staying there. The management company should absolutely disclose these things so their guests know what they are in for and can decide if they really want to deal with it. A person named Leticia did say they would give me a 20% discount for all the issues, but I have yet to receive it as of this posting.

A comfortable apartment , easy check in and everything as promised. There is a great food hall in El Cortes Ingles(opposite) for treats and supplies!

Perfect in Madrid

We LOVED the apartment. It was perfect... clean, open living space. So great. The location was incredible. It was in the heart of everything and was exactly across the street from a Metro which was very convenient. Hope we get to come back. It was just terrific.

Great location Wonderful apartment

we were expecting a nice apartment as per the pictures we had seen on the web site, but it exceed our expectations, it was clean well lit and the location could not be any more center of Madrid, we had stores within walking distance a supermarket across the street, Prado museum Mercado San Miguel, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and many more within walking distance. Juan was waiting for us when we arrive and was very helpful in explaining and showing us the apartment and also kept himself available for any needs. The staff was also nice and arrange our transfers from and to the airport. I will recommend this company and this apartment very highly.

Impressive location!

When we arrived my heart sank. Graffiti all over door and a vestibule so poorly lit it was scary. The apartment however is bright, cheerful, and immaculate. Like new. Great bedding, hot showers. It is just a few meters from Puerta Del Sol. Loved the easy location. View is side of Corte Ingles. A lot of Street action to watch. Very noisy at night - but bedrooms in back so not bad. It suited us for a couple nights. Wonderful responses from management and we were welcomed by neighbor upon arrival.
