Three Oaks is just a ten minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan and thirty-five minutes to Notre Dame. Enjoy the small town lifestyle and find your own moment to getaway.

The Hellenga House is a 5 bedroom 2.5 bathroom two story single family home. The upstairs hosts three queen size bedroom and 1 full bathroom - on the first story is the kitchen, dining/living room along with another 2 bedrooms with a total of 1 queen bed, 2 double beds and 1.5 bathrooms complete with laundry for your use.

This is the third year in a row we've rented Ivan and Carly's place for the Apple Cider Century, and it was great as always! Tons of space, close to town, and a nice outdoor area with tables and fire pit. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks and hope to stay again next year.

Loved our time here

There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and we had everything we needed, plus the nice touches from the owners. We would definitely stay here again!

Great for a large family gathering

The home was great for our multi-generational family with plenty of space to spread out and relax, as well as enjoy a meal together at the large dinning room table or in the backyard. It was clean, close driving distance to activities along the lake and had some nice extra touches (e.g., slippers in each room, nice coffee and espresso makers, microfiber beach towels). Two things that were less than ideal but definitely not deal breakers for our family: 1) Wished they had a few more kitchen utensils, mixing bowls and skillets; 2) The sidewalk into town doesn't start for about 200 yards from the house and the road into town is heavily traveled, which made walking to town less than ideal. Overall, we had a lovely stay though and would recommend this property for a large family!

Perfect place for friends and family

Ivan and Carly have literally thought of every possible amenity. The decor is lovely, cotton bedding super comfortable, kitchen well equipped, little corners of the house for small groups to hang out and a wonderful back yard for a barbecue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

Family Wedding Weekend!!!!!

This property was perfect for our large family with plenty of space to gather or get away from the group. A few favorite things was the amazingly comfortable beds, the garage space, the amenities ( towels, toiletries, snacks, washer /dryer, robes, etc.) and the cleanliness of this property. Thank you Ivan and Carly

In town for a wedding.

We were in town for a family wedding. There were 7 adults, 3 teenagers and one 12 year old. The kids loved the converted garage/ family room. They were able to play their video games and ping pong. Kitchen had the basics and was very nice. Make certain you bring any utensils or pans you need for specific meals. Bedrooms were good, except none of the window coverings were room darkening. We were there for a long weekend so having only 2 1/2 bathrooms was not a big issue. Loved the porches and outdoor eating area. There was plenty of room to spread out. The property manager was very good at communicating instructions. We would stay there again!

Great Home Base

The Hellenga House was an amazing place to stay. Plenty of space for 5 adult couples, and plenty of room to park cars. The backyard was great for grilling and eating outside. The sunroom and garage were great places to gather for games, and the 2.5 bathrooms helped us get ready quickly. The house is in a great location, only 10 minutes from New Buffalo, and it was super easy to get to town and the beaches. The WiFi worked really well, and the hosts left a lot of nice touches (toiletries, sunscreen, bug spray, robes, slippers, etc.) for us to use. Very thoughtful, very clean, very easy to check-in and out. I highly recommend it. I only wish they'd had some cooking oil/spices for us at the house, but that's really such a minor thing. Overall it really is a great place, and I would go back.

Wonderful experience!

This was a long awaited friend trip! Ivan’s property was beautiful, convenient, and perfectly met our needs. We stayed in the house for most of our stay- enjoyed cooking big meals and playing games. There were nine of of and the house had enough space for us all to be together and find some quiet areas for solo time. Easy trip to New Buffalo and the local town is really lovely.

The Little Things Made My Stay Special- Great Stay

I took my husband to the local distilleries/wineries for his birthday and brought along another couple plus a sitter for my 2 kids. We ALL loved our stay at Hellenga House. The home was immaculate and had all the special touches that I would expect from a 5-star hotel. There were pristine white robes, linens, soft white towels and slippers. The kitchen was fully stocked with great dishes plus tea and snacks to welcome us. There is plenty of room in the yard for a family bbq and the house was the epitome of comfort. The kids especially loved the renovated garage area to play ping-pong and watch tv. We were so close to Journeyman too which was great!
