Welcome to Summit & Shore House, a newly updated tiny home designed for guests who crave the perfect mix of high-end comfort and natural beauty. With a private hot tub, cozy interiors, and easy access to scenic adventures, this mountain retreat delivers big on both style and serenity.

Inside, enjoy a master bedroom, loft, and private living area complete with a fully stocked kitchen. Outside, take in the mountain air from the porch, unwind by the firepit, or explore the nearby waterfalls and trails that define the Cumberland Plateau.

Located within the gated Deer Lick Falls community, this pet-friendly (with approval) getaway is also just minutes from The Caverns, the University of the South, and South Cumberland State Park.

A maximum of two dogs under 25 lbs each is allowed. Please reach out to Guest Services prior to bringing your pet. A fee of $100 + tax will be applied to your reservation if approved.

We love all of The Retreat's properties. We were able to snag a last minute reservation here and didn't mind getting rained in. Such a lovely and cozy house, with the rain pattering on the roof.

Relaxing stay in a quiet, convenient location.

This is a lovely property. Very easy to get in and out and close to restaurants, stores, and several amazing state parks. Neighboring properties aren't overly close and when the leaves are on the trees they probably aren't visible at all. Hosts are very responsive to calls and messages. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Great Winter Weekend Getaway

We spent the weekend in this cozy tiny house in Monteagle, and it was the perfect little getaway. Even though the weather was cold, the cabin felt warm and inviting. We passed the time playing games, laughing, and just enjoying being together as a family. One of the highlights was the short hike to Deer Lick Falls. The crisp air made the trail refreshing, and the waterfall was beautiful and worth the walk. It was a simple, relaxing weekend filled with quality time and great memories.

Loved this site. Trails in the community means you dont have to leave if you dont want to. Thete is a playground, Deer Lick Falls, etc. hot tub is massive win. The layout of the home is well thought out. Front porch is awesome. Nearby is Piggly Wiggly, an excellent steakhouse (Highpoint), tacos, Amish Hippie, etc. we loved this spot and will be back.

Cozy house perfect for a weekend getaway!

This house is so cute and cozy. We felt warm and welcomed as soon as we stepped inside. Itā€™s the perfect place to reconnect with each other and unplug for a couple of days. And the Deer Lick Falls trail to the waterfall was amazing. Could not have asked for a better place and I canā€™t wait for our next trip.

We decided last minute to take a trip and found the cutest, coziest tiny home in Monteagle TN. This is just what our family needed. It was a nice relaxing getaway. The tiny home was decorated beautifully and was incredibly clean. Beautiful trails alongside of a creek. Would definitely come back.

It was an excellent getaway for the wifeā€™s birthday. The location was great as it is just a short hike from the falls and the property was great! Very clean and cozy with wonderful amenities. Great setup in the back with the porch and hot tub!

The house was great. A few cosmetic blemishes but very clean overall. These cabins are very well built. The only issue: there wasnā€™t a rug/mat at the back door so coming in from the spa resulted in water all over the bedroom floor (it was too cold to stand outside to dry). There was no bath mat either and only 4 towels. So between the spa, showering and drying the floor, towels were sparse.

My daughters and I loved this place! They even chose to cook at home vs going out. Easy check in, close range to the caverns (highly recommend a cave tour here!) and waterfalls. The place was clean and modern. Adorable!

Cute and sweet

Great, cozy spot. Offers everything you need to enjoy a getaway in the woods. 4 stars because there was trash outside in the yard of the property (which I picked up), confusion with the WiFi due to sending me expired information and then insisting I was wrong, and because I found the cleanliness to be less than ideal. But overall, nice trip, great amenities.

The perfect weekend getaway!

What a wonderful weekend! We loved our stay at Summit & Shore House. It was in a great location (near popular restaurants High Point and Mountain Goat Market, as well as University of the South, the Caverns, and popular hiking trails). **THEY HAVE A HOT TUB** which wasnā€™t in the description when we booked. The main beds in these homes are queens but it was very comfortable. There was a kidā€™s area in the loft with two twin mattresses, a gaming chair and a TV. The AC and heat worked well. The fire pit was nice. They have smart TVs throughout. All-in-all, exactly what we were looking for: a quiet weekend with R&R!

Perfect getaway spot

This tiny home was perfect for our anniversary weekend getaway. Super clean, beautifully furnished, and wonderful outdoor areas. We really enjoyed the hot tub under the stars on the crisp evenings. I do recommend bringing your own beach towels if you plan to use it. There are only four bath towels in the unit. The Deer Lick Falls hike and waterfall was really fun, and so nice that it's right here, so we didn't have to drive to hike. There are other great hiking spots in the area as well, and some fantastic dining spots we loved. We'll be back in the future for sure.
