-Firewood is not included, but you’re welcome to bring your own or purchase a bundle from Retreat Vacations.

Peaceful stay

We loved it! Especially the fire pit in the back and cooked out one night, as well. We enjoyed walking around Sunset Bluffs and hope to be back soon.

Quiet neighborhood

New neighborhood, quiet and peaceful. I was ahead of schedule and contacted the host and was able to check in a little early since family coming from the south was caught in traffic. Very clean home and dog friendly (reason we chose it). GPS doesn’t recognize the address but it is easily findable without GPS!

Perfect Stay for a Weekend Away

We’re hesitant to leave a positive review because we don’t want anyone else know about this gem! The home had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend and it was made even better with the quick and detailed communication from the Retreat team. The home had enough space for 2 humans and 3 dogs. The loft was a nice bonus which we really only used to setup a laptop to pretend we would be doing some work (didn’t happen). The bedrooms have just enough space for the full-sized bed and they are comfortable with a refreshing ceiling fan. If I there was any drawback it would be the bed size, but that’s a personal preference, not a complaint against the home. Overall, the inside was enough space for us. We can see how 6 people could sleep in the home, but it will be tight with only one bathroom. Just spend most of the day lounging outside and come in for shower and bed! We appreciated the privacy of the home: it is one of the few in the community without neighbors directly around it. It is setback from the street with lots of tree cover. It is not on the “main” street so there is minimal car traffic. However, the common area and pool are mapped out to be a few doors up from this home. The community as a whole was very quiet with a few fast cars driving up to one of the houses. We saw a few people walking or with their dogs; otherwise, you could only hear nature. Thank you so much for the Retreat’s hospitality and making sure we were comfortable throughout the weekend. We cannot wait to visit this home and the area soon!

Great place to stay in Monteagle

Cabin was super nice. Very clean. Awesome huge porch. Private and quiet setting. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful retreat!

This house was perfect for my family. We loved the wooded setting with huge front porch, private firepit and outdoor cozy lights. The stars were beautiful! The fenced part of the property allowed my dog to safely run around. The home was immaculate with great furniture. It was spacious, stylish, and had everything we needed. (If you need conditioner for your hair, be sure to bring your own - just a heads up for my curly girl friends) I highly recommend staying at this perfect little retreat!

Relaxation Getaway

The Great Escape is just what we needed for a weekend getaway. This home sits off the main road just enough to have privacy. The home was extremely clean and well designed. The fenced yard was a plus for our dog. Would highly recommend staying at this home especially if you have a fur baby!

Clean Cabin in Beautiful Nature

Highly recommend this cabin. Have stayed at several cabins in NC and TN, this one was super clean, in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. Would have loved to stay longer. Driveway is a bit steep for regular cars, our Jeep had no problem though. Amazing patio, perfect for grilling or relaxing.

Well stocked, quiet and close to hiking trails

This cabin is very spacious in the main room with a very well stocked kitchen which we appreciated for cooking. The location is close to some of our favorite hiking trails as well as Tracy City and Monteagle for eating out. A nice enclosed space for a dog. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to a future visit.
