The York Hut is an updated gem just steps to Long Sands! 7min walk to the beach!

Located in the heart of Long Sands Beach just .3 miles straight back from the bath house. THE GOOGLE MAPPING IS WRONG. Please note, The York Hut is a 7 minute walk or a 2 minute drive to the beach. This cozy updated cottage is an easy walk to the beach with all your gear using our included mega cart. After a fun day at the beach, you can relax in the private back yard setting enjoying the enclosed outdoor shower featuring a granite bench just steps from the patio, fire pit and Weber grill.

The York Hut offers 2 bedrooms. One full bed bedroom and one bunk room with a full bed and a single bed. Cottage sleeps 5 comfortably. There is also a queen sofa bed for an extra visitor or 2. One full bathroom with washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped including multiple lobster pots and all the accessories needed for the seafood lover. There are two TV's with DVD players and cable in the sitting room and bunk room. WIFI is included as well.

We require all renters to supply their own linens, blankets, sheets, pillows and towels. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is fully equipped and ready for your creations. For your convenience, we provide antibacterial supplies, dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner. Additionally, the cottage will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival given your preference of either all natural products or chemical based products. The York Hut is a pet free and smoke free environment with no exceptions.

ALL RENTALS ARE BOOKED WEEKLY FRIDAY TO FRIDAY WITH CHECK IN AT 3PM CHECK OUT 10AM

Quick walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood and a small yard with adequate room for young kids to play ball. Cottage was clean and well appointed with anything we needed. Outdoor shower was great! Beach wagon was awesome to have and made for an easy walk to the beach.

What a great little spot! We had such a great time at the York Hut. We are a small family of 3 (2 adults, 1teen) and it was perfect for us. Spent all our evenings in the backyard watching the fire in the fire pit, days were at the beach. Super relaxing week. The outdoor shower was great! The cleanest I’ve ever used, and no spiders!

Wonderful trip!

Our trip was great! We loved “the hut”. It fit our family of 4 perfect. Check in was a breeze. Kim was very responsive on any questions I had. Super friendly and helpful. House was very clean, we had everything we needed in the house. The wagon/buggy, was awesome. About a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Loved having a fire at night. I guess if I were to complain, the bedroom in the adult room, the mattress was a little to firm for my liking. But everyone is different. But, it’s a super cute place with great people owning it. There binder is huge with all the menus for eating places in the area!.. We hope to be back. Thank you guys for a great week! Brian F.

Great stay by the beach!

Super cute place! Really clean, I was impressed by how clean the house was! We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to the beach. I also appreciated the menus and recommendations left by the host!

Beautiful and cozy cottage

Perfect 2 bedroom cottage VERY close to beach. Took us 5 minutes to walk from door to beach. Home was neat and clean, nice furniture with everything you need for your vacation. Beach buggy. Fire pit. All pots and pans and utensils are fully stocked. Remember to bring your own towels and linens! Not our first time staying at the York Hut and definitely not our last! The host, Kimberly, was extremely helpful and responsive! Five Plus stars!!!

We simply love this place

It is clean, has all the dishes and other kitchen items that allows us to eat and prepare meals on-site instead of paying the high price of eating a restaurants all the time. The outdoor shower is perfect after a warm day at the beach. The walk to Long Sands beach is easy and we love the beach cart for carrying beach umbrellas, towels etc. It is also an established neighborhood with many summer cottages and a few full-time residents, so at night it is QUIET. See ya next year.

Best place we've stayed in 10 years of visiting York

The York hut is exactly what a beach cottage should be! The accomodations were all wonderful, we LOVED the outdoor shower. We would definitely stay again!

Great Stay

Quaint little place. Very clean. Loved the fire pit in the back, very nice on chilly nights. Not a bad walk to Long Sands but we ended up driving. There is a beach cart for your use located at the back of the house but no beach chairs. What I did love is that there is a small washer and dryer located in the bathroom. It came in so very handy. All in all, we had a lovely stay and would stay here again.

We bought this cottage years ago and brought it back to life after many years of neglect. It is truly our happy place. Our goal was to create a vacation spot with all the conveniences we looked for when we rented beach cottages with 2 young kids. We wanted something better than just a hotel room. We wanted a place where both the adults and the kids could kick back equally to have fun. Once we created it, we named it The York Hut. We wouldn't trade our place for mansion and we hope you love it as much as we do.

The York Hut and York Maine is quintessential New England. The location of the cottage is perfect. It is close enough to everything but set back just enough from the beach to be peaceful and private.

York Beach is a laid back vacation spot fun for all ages. It offers a very casual and family friendly environment free from chain retailers and restaurants. York prides itself in all things local creating a true vacation experience unlike no other. If hanging in isn't your thing, there are many local dining spots within walking distance of the York Hut along with convenient stores, ice cream shops and surf board rentals. Many favorite spots are within walking distance. There is also a trolley available to get around between Long Sand Beach and Short Sands Beach with stops in between along a coastal route.
