Incredible Stay!

Our family of four stayed at this property for 5 nights and it was incredible! In terms of the property, this house has everything you need. The house was extremely well kept and very, very clean. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with everything you could need, including plenty of basic staples in the pantry. The property manager Terry was a pleasure to deal with and we even took her up on her catering services - now let me tell you, my family and I like to eat, and Terry can COOK! Trust me on this, have Terry cook you a good meal, it is more than worth it. A couple of things in regards to planning; LGI Vacation Rentals will give you an information pack ahead of your stay - read it. There's a good amount of planning you'll need to complete. For example, this house does not come with a golf cart. I recommend renting one through LGI Carts, but you need to give plenty of notice. You will also need to book your water taxi at least a few weeks ahead if you don't plan to rent a boat. Don't worry about the negative reviews of Pirate's Water Taxi, just treat them with kindness and respect that they run a tight schedule, so you need to be on time and ready to load. I also strongly recommend that you use Island Grocery Delivery ($50 charge +% commission) and have them pick up all your groceries and stock your rental - it saves the stress of having to do it yourself and load up the taxi. Overall, I cannot recommend this property enough. If you choose to stay here, you're going to have a wonderful time.

Almost Heaven Indeed!

Almost Heaven is very aptly described; really loved the place. LG Vacation Rentals, from the back-office staff to Terri on the island, were wonderfully responsive and helpful from start to finish. The house has a great open layout, with a combined living room / kitchen area that opens onto a large screened-in porch with a number of seating areas. You can see a bit of the Gulf from the house, and it’s a very short 2-3 min. walk to the beach. We had a boat, only a 5-6 min. walk to the dedicated dock space. Did not rent a golf cart, walked back and forth to beach and dock. LGVR has a. comprehensive binder that includes the island concierge who can help bring bags to the dock when you’re leaving. The bedrooms were very nicely done, everything clean and fresh, main bedroom with its own bath is separate from the other 2 bedrooms with shared bath. Everything you need in the kitchen, new fridge with icemaker, good pantry with essentials. Lots of beach towels. We did flip the couch around to face the main part of the room, opened the space up a bit (moved it back at the end of course; the couch has seen better days but we all loved it. =) A very cool area we did not spend enough time in is the screened-in, open-air downstairs. Big hammock, a couple of seating areas, lots of chairs, floats, toys for the beach; grill and a fish-cleaning table/sink right outside the screened area.Huge thank-you to the LGVR staff, love the place, look forward to returning.

Better than expected

We had a great stay. The house was immaculate and everything we needed was at hand. Better than avg cookware, appliances, great location, a nice view... just a sweet place, we'd stay again.
