The Lily Pad at Comfort Cove has a cozy private porch and beautiful lake front views to enjoy all four seasons!

If your group has more than 4 people, or you just want to spread out, feel free to check out our upstairs Star-view Suite (Property ID 2177946) and PM me for additional details.

The unit with the screened in porch and wood dock is private and reserved currently.

The Lily Pad:
-Master king bed
-Guest room queen bed
-1 full bath
-Living room with two small couches
-Kitchen fully stocked with plates, glasses, utensils, cooking ware, etc.

Accommodations:
- WiFi: code given prior to check-in
- Private parking for one vehicle
- 4 kayaks and 1 canoe available during your stay
- Outdoor games provided (washers, bag toss, Kan Jam, bocce ball, etc.)
- Smart Roku TV with DVD Player (variety of DVD’s in closet and board games!)
- Microwave, full size refrigerator, stove and oven, coffee machine, waffle maker
- Washer and Dryer
- Fire-pit: Firewood is supplied
- Propane Grill

Some favorite things to do are listed on the Welcome letter on your fridge, feel free to request info in advance if interested!

The gray, floating easy dock is reserved for just our VRBO’s (private lake, no outside boats permitted).

The swim area (a short stroll across the bridge around the cove) is available to you as well. Elk lake has it all!

Close to Scranton, Elk Mountain, Honesdale and so many more amazing and new spots to visit!

Loved the coziness of the cabin and the peaceful lake view! Having a washer and dryer was nice so we could go home with mostly clean clothes! Hosts were communicable and very friendly.

Can’t wait to return! Had a great stay. Place was super clean and comfortable. Great location. Parking right in front. Had everything we needed. There are other rentals in the house but never saw other guests nor heard them. We had a completely private entrance. The lake is beautiful. Great view of lake from the living room. Hosts were very responsive. Can’t wait to return!!! Highly recommend.

Once again we had an amazing stay! The rental was clean and well kept. The lake was great for canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming- including the hosts. We look forward to coming back again!

Quick getaway with friends

Everything was perfect. Especially the the king bed. We used the Kayaks, the grill, the fire pit ( which was restocked the next day) the redneck game, and the bar across the "lane". The lake and bar are sooo close. Which was great!

Great Lake weekend

Just what we were looking for - coffee on the porch while looking over the lake, kayaks during the day, fire at night, fishing in the morning…perfect lake weekend.

Loved it!

Jon and Beth's place was absolutely perfect for a relaxing weekend away! We had an issue with the propane tank and they responded extremely quickly and fixed the issue right away. I'd recommend their place to anyone!

Cozy cabin by the lake

We had a great time staying at the property, it’s clean, cozy and beautifully situated by a lake.The neighbors are friendly, and the local bar is a great spot to have a beer close by.The hosts are very friendly and any communication was prompt and helpful.

Thanksgiving getaway

Place was cute. Very clean and has everything you need. Location is nice. Lake is walking distance. Very pretty. Kept losing power all night and morning. Then it snowed so we had to leave a day early to avoid getting stuck. Drove 3 hrs and only stayed 16 hrs total. Not a good trip. It would have been nice if we got a partial credit. Pete and Maida

Cute cozy cabin!

This is a sweet little cabin right on Elk Lake! We stayed for 5 nights after Thanksgiving and it was the perfect spot to relax, visit relatives, read, work on puzzles and watch our favorite shows at night! My husband hunted during the day! We had everything we needed including washer and dryer!! The bed was super comfy! Hosts were especially friendly and helpful!

Even better than expected!

We had a very relaxing and easy stay in the cottage. The unit was clean and larger than it looks in the photos - it very comfortably fit four adults. We are very familiar with Elk Lake and were a little worried that there would be late-night noise coming over from Jake's Tavern next door, but we had no issues (even on a holiday weekend!). Having access to the kayaks was a huge bonus. Would certainly stay here again!

My in-laws came from Illinois for a vist and they stayed at this apartment. Very clean and convenient to everything. They loved the view of the lake from the front porch.

Memorable!

We had a lovely stay at the Lily Pad! We really appreciated having access to the kayaks, having a full kitchen with everything we may have needed, comfy beds and couches, a porch looking out on the lake and a smart tv for those nights to unwind. It was rainy 3/4 days we were there, but we found more than enough to do. Frank's place nearby was excellent! We went to Prompton Falls, Jim Thorpe, the Old Jail, Lake Wallenpaupack for our beach day, kayaking and a few trails. The view of the lake was unforgettable. Jake's Tavern right next door was quite convenient. I will say, the local grocery store, Hayes, looked like they were closing. Their shelves were basically bare (like the height of COVID). So it may be a good idea to bring the majority of your food. The guest book was super helpful in seeing what others enjoyed during their stay too. At one point I couldn't find the hairdryer and messaged the host. Next thing I know it was right at our door! Suprisingly quick response! When we arrived we did notice the floor didn't look vacuumed in a couple spots and there were a few hairs in the shower. This didn't bother us too much, but something we noticed. Everything else was perfect. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great Lake Stay

This was a perfect weekend getaway. We enjoyed the yard and the fire pit at night. Even though it rained for a bit we had plenty of room relax inside and wait for the rainbow to come out. The porch is an inviting space to read or just sit and visit. Just steps from the lake and kayaks to use if you want to take a paddle around. Definitely will be back next year.

Relaxing by the Lake

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking to relax and have a low-key vacation. There are opportunities for hiking, shopping, and other activities all within a short drive or you can simply swim, canoe, or kayak right at the lake. The hosts are amazing and the property is clean and well maintained. We have stayed here several times and will be coming back again.

Property was very cozy. Great view of lake and mountains. Private dock 25 yrds from the front porch. Didnt use the grill but cooked over the fire pit in yard. There are multiple kayaks and canoes that we used to explore the lake. Very relaxing place and hosts were very helpful and friendly.

Wonderful Oasis

Wonderful stay at the Lily pad. Beautiful and peaceful here. Locals are friendly and welcoming. Most relaxing vacation I've had in a very long time and best sleep too!

Jon and Beth have been together for over 15 years, were married in 2011 and love the Lake Life they have created together. They travel as often as possible but in all the many places they have visited around the world, Elk Lake remains their favorite.

Beth grew up coming to Elk Lake visiting her grandparents, many cousins and friends. Once she brought Jon to visit too he instantly fell in love with this welcoming, quaint, beautiful, private spot to enjoy all four seasons.

They try to make their guests as comfortable as possible with all the amenities to feel like home. They are quick to respond, have many places they love to recommend to their guests that they enjoy visiting as well and really appreciate any feedback people give them to improve their current and future stays.

When they named the Lily Pad unit it was special to them because of the many kayaks and canoe rides they have taken around the lake together enjoying the coves with spectacular views and wild life, especially the Lily pad flowers that you will find pictures of above each bed along with other touches throughout your unit!

Beth and Jon are down to earth, positive and grateful people that just appreciate all the many adventures they have had and continue to have. They are so happy they get to share this amazing Lake with people near and far!

Our family has lived on and enjoyed Elk Lake and this community for many generations. There is no other lake we have found that feels as magical as this one!
