Family weekend

Our family had a wonderful time. The setting and location were great. There were areas in the house and outside that needed to be addressed. We were able to work around most of it.

Fabulous vacation spot

This is our second time at this house and the kids are begging to come back next year. Great space, fully loaded with fun and activities. So many places to sit and relax, have meals, spend time together. Fun atmosphere with the lights and decor. Hosts are nice and responsive and invested in their guests having a great time. Highly recommend!

Fun abounds

This house was a fantastic place for our family to relax and have fun. The spaces inside and out let people have time alone when needed and spend time together. So many places to sit and enjoy the gorgeous views of the lake. Tons of outdoor equipment ensured everyone found something to make them happy. Great vacation place and I’d highly recommend.

Outdoor fun

Outdoor set up very nice with lots to do at lake side. Loved large sunroom off the kitchen. Lots of space for us. House was cooled well and tvs and ceiling fans in bedrooms were great. The kitchen had ants the day after we arrived. Kept most of food in sunroom. Cooked there twice. Some bakeware would need replacing.

Michigan Summer at its finest!

This is a fantastic spot for small groups or a family. We had two families - one family stayed in the main house, the other in the apartment. The main house has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The apartment has one bedroom, bathroom, small kitchenette and some pull out couches. We opted to set up a queen sized air mattress and had plenty of room. Buddy was kind enough to meet as at the house and walk us through everything, include the use of the pontoon. We relaxed, sat by the fire, sat at the tiki bar, sat on the deck, sat on the beach...this place has it all! We also used the kayaks, tubes, and standup paddleboards available. We grilled out and even used the smoker. Such a perfect stay for our families - we already booked for next summer!

It has it all!

Wonderful place for all, but especially all with kids! All sorts of water toys, plenty of room to sleep, and every kitchen item you can thinks of! Yard lights are enchanting!

Family Vacation

We had a great time & Buddy is very responsive & wants you to have a great time. The layout of the house was great for us & made it easy for young kids to take naps while older kids played. As this is obviously a home that Buddy uses personally it is well decorated & I was worried the kids would break something. The Tiki Bar area is a great feature & we gathered in that area frequently. Thank you Buddy! Our favorite spot was your beach!

Grand Junction Lake House

Buddy was so kind and helpful. The property was beautiful and just as described. It had everything we needed including paddle boards, kayaks, lots of seating, tiki bar, and fire pit. The house was comfortable and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful house for outdoor adventures!

We had a great stay at Buddy's house. The outdoor space is fantastic, perfect for adults and kids alike. Our 3 year olds loved taking the pontoon boat out on the lake (available to rent), the beach was great for playing in the sand, and the kayaks were appreciated by the adults for exploring the lake! We used the fire pit on a nice, crisp fall night, and the the house was stocked with firewood, s'more skewers, and fire starters which made everything super easy. Buddy was very accommodating with check in and was available to answer any questions or promptly help when we needed it. Overall, I would recommend if you want to spend time outdoors!

Friend Reunion after a Loooong 2020

I stayed with 8 of my friends here the week after labor day and we had a great experience. There were a ton of water “toys” available with 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, a fishing boat, plenty of paddles, life jackets, and a half dozen noodles & floats. There were multiple places both inside and outside where the entire group could gather easily (with plenty of citronella candles around the outside spaces to keep out mosquitoes & other pests). There is an outside Bluetooth speaker system that’s easy to use, and multiple smart tvs to stream to. I would definitely recommend this place for a medium sized group- the only barrier is how many people are willing to share the two bathrooms.

Great getaway!

Buddy was great! We had an amazing trip! Anything and everything you could want or need was already at the home. In fact, there was a huge storm and the power went out, a generator kicked in within 10 seconds! We would definitely stay here again, highly recommend.

Perfect Weekend at the Lake

The house was just as the listing indicated. There were tons to do, from a pontoon rental, to paddle boarding, kayaking and a paddleboat. The beach was perfect for the kids. The lake was peaceful, decent sized, but never felt too crowded. It was a lovely place to spend a long weekend.

All you need for fun and relaxation!

This house was even better than the pictures showed. The outside area is perfect with tons of seating to enjoy the lake. We were able to relax and keep an eye on the kids, and the tiki bar made it super convenient to have snacks and drinks without going in and out. We loved going out on the kayaks and paddle boards. There is a separate apartment over the garage that made it very nice for separate families to have their own space. We would definitely come back here again. We were all amazed at how clean the lake is, and it was very warm to swim in. Our kids loved seeing our turtle visitors pop up now and again as well as the ducks and fish.

Highly recommend for a peaceful lakehouse getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay at the tiki bar property that was perfect for a girls weekend celebrating our college reunion. Our host was extremely helpful and greeted us upon check-in and very quick to respond to any questions we had. The access to the pontoon boat, paddle boards and other water toys was so nice to allow us to enjoy the beautiful and calm Great Bear Lake. I’d definitely recommend for a family or group of friends!

Fishing

Brought grandson fishing and was not disappointed. Fish were biting and weather cooperated. House is great and in a good location on the lake. Hosts were very congenial and made sure we had everything we needed for the stay. I look forward to renting from them again.

Enjoyed the weekend

We had an excellent time at the property. Weather was only good one day, but we were able to take the kayaks out on lake which was nice. Also the tiki bar was fun, and bonus was wireless stereo outside to listen to our own music. Loved the firepit by lake too. Plenty of outdoor seating. Too bad it rained 2 nights. Enjoyed the house a lot. Fully supplied kitchen. The only negative was the gas grill ran out of gas after 5 minutes, had to cook inside which turned out OK. We had 7 adults, enough beds for all. Any more and you'll be using couches. Plenty of space in house for the 7 of us. Plenty of supplies everywhere in house. We had a great time and would come back again, with hopefully better weather.

Magical Retreat on the Lake!

We were thrilled with our stay and already dying to go back. We spent almost all of our time outside enjoying the sandy beach, fire pit, kayaks, paddle boards, and the boat. This place has it all! Plenty of towels, kitchen gadgets, pots, pans, plates, you name it. We found everything we needed and more to cook all of our meals. The owner is incredibly helpful and communicative. Our group ranged from young kids to seniors and we all had plenty to do and equally loved this place! Can’t wait to come back!

Its all about having fun. We have a fantastic home with a Tiki Bar with hot and cold running water, ref. sink and all bar condiments. Fishing off a fixed dock or use our aluminum fishing boat or rent our pontoon boat. All water toys are available for your use. Well maintained beach for the kids with walkout into the water for the younger crowd.
