The in-law suite, with its own private entrance, provides privacy and comfort for guests and extended family. Has its own full bathroom, fireplace, kitchen and living room.
It’s all about the possibilities. Mornings and mimosas by the pool, endless beach activities, from crabbing to swimming to kayaking and sangria sunsets on the roof top deck.
The area does not lack for things to do. Harkness park has activities for everyone, beaches, fishing and exploring. Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods are just a quick drive away. Spend the day in Mystic exploring the seaport and don't forget a visit to the aquarium.

Great house with plenty of space for a large family. The backyard was a highlight with a small plunge pool, fire pit, and lots of yard games that kept everyone entertained. The location is excellent—close to the beach and just a short drive to Mystic. Would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to the area. Michele was a great host and super responsive when we had questions. Highly recommend if you are looking to gather and relax.

This home was fantastic for our family. It had everything we could need to enjoy our stay- a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable and quiet bedrooms, and the pool table/air hockey/ping pong table was a huge hit for the kids (and adults)! The backyard pool was perfect on the hot summer days when we didn’t feel like going to the beach. Michele was quick to respond when we had a question. Would absolutely stay here again in the future!

Great vacation home

A fantastic home for a family vacation. Large rooms, well furnished, with plenty of kitchen items, and beach towels. The outdoor pool area is nice. My grandkids practically lived in the pool all day. The home is in great condition, with large screen TVs with soundbars, plenty of dining area, and modern appliances. The area is quiet, safe, and the backyard is private. The home was also just a short 10 minute drive to dining and grocery shopping areas of Niantic and Waterford, as well as the nice Waterford Beach Park. We had a great family vacation here, and highly recommend for any family considering a vacation in that area of CT. Mystic Aquarium and Seaport are around 25 minutes away.

The Owl's Nest is a huge, immaculate, well-equipped home in a residential area near several beaches. The pool, although seemingly small, was just perfect for us, and when some family visited for the day, it accommodated about 10 adults and two babies in and about the pool with lots of fun. I would recommend this lovely home for a nice Connecticut shore vacation; it's quiet and you need to drive to stores and restaurants and beaches - great for runners and walkers and the homes all around are stunning.

Very clean house and in a safe location. Everything worked great and beds were comfortable. Pool is small, the beach is a walk away. Very cute location but need to drive to get to family activities. We would definitely go back for a relaxing get away!

Owls’ Nest

We loved our stay at Owls’ Nest!! It was perfect for our family of 10. The house is very spacious and very well equipped with everything we needed!! We loved having a gorgeous kitchen, a refreshing pool, lots of outdoor and indoor games and a great balcony for watching the beautiful sunsets!!! Thank you Michele!!!

Nice pool house

We had a nice family vacation even though we had a few days of rain. The kids loved the pool but recommend dry ear after swimming as all the kids got swimmers ear. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor games. We bbq’d most nights but there are some restaurants nearby. The kitchen was well stocked but could have used garbage bags and dish soap..not a big issue but every house we’ve ever rented supplied these and paper towels and toilet paper (We had starter of toilet paper and 1 paper towel to start.). We had a drain issue but Michele took care of it and gifted us some wine for the inconvenience. Michele was very responsive to all my questions! If you are looking for beach time you need to travel a few miles and it’s $25 per car..On the whole , this is a nice vacation home with plenty of room for a big family and Michele was a great host

Great Family Vacation Rental

I recommend this property for family vacations! The house is much larger than the pictures make it seem to be. The rooms are very large allowing enough space for extended families to enjoy both time together and individual rooms. There are many games and activities provided by the property for both children and adults. The backyard is fenced and private. Many of the previous reviews comment on the size of the pool. While it is not huge, it was the perfect size for our family with small children. There are multiples seating areas outside to sit and enjoy the sun if you do not want to swim. We also enjoyed the rooftop deck views in the morning and evenings. We recommend going to the Waterford beach. There is a $25 fee for non residents but the beach is clean and not too busy. It is a short drive and worth the money. The property owner also provides a list of nearby activities and restaurants to visit which was convenient. The property owner is responsive and overall very helpful in completing your booking and stay!

Spacious Home Inside and Out

We enjoyed our week long stay in this spacious vacation rental, with 4 bedrooms, bathrooms and television sets. It has lots of seating, inside and out, towels, and a well stocked kitchen. The combination air hockey/ pool/ping pong table was a hit, as well as the pool, complete with pool and other outside toys. It is a short walk to sand bars, and a convenience store, while Pleasure Beach is about a 4 block walk/2 minute drive to its public parking area. Sand chairs, toys, and beach towels were available. We enjoyed Ocean Beach Park with its arcade and rides, and Flanders Fish Market/Restaurant, both a short distance away. There were night lights throughout the house, as well as many steps that were not mentioned in the listing. Bring consumables with you.

Lovely, Complete Vacation House

This home is ideal for a large family gathering. We actually slept 6 people, but the house could easily have handled another half dozen. Our nearby family came for multiple visits and swims in the well-equipped pool. Lots of fine toys! And the plastic axe-throwing set was a major hit on the sizeable back yard. Everything in the rental was in excellent working order, and we had more than enough plates, flatwear, and kitchen/grill utensils, all clean and in good shape. The swimming pool got lots of use, clean and large enough for all of the live-in family and numbers of visitors. The location is very convenient to shops and restaurants in Waterford (Stop and Shop grocery, Ocean State Job Lot, Dollar Tree) Niantic, and East Lyme. (We recommend Fat Tuna and the Flanders Fish Market for both food and service.) Beach life is a short drive away. The walking-distance beach is fine for catching crabs and minnows, but not so much for bathing. Nearby Pleasure Beach is private and the guard seemed resentful when we asked for the public part. I recommene highly the Waterford Town beach (a 10-minute drive away). It's is lovely and welcoming. It's $25 per day per carload for out-of-town visitors, $125 for a season pass that allows in-and-out access (available online). You can drop a carload of beachgoers and go get another batch, no problem. The beach itself is about a half mile long, spotless, with gorgeous sand and air-conditioned bathrooms. There's just no downside!

Great house

Our family stay was perfect at this house. There was plenty of room and the pool was a huge plus. The kitchen and restrooms are well stocked and having sheets, bath & pool towels available was so helpful. We enjoyed every minute. Michele was available whenever we needed her for questions.

Perfect Family Vacation House!

The house was absolutely perfect for our family trip! We had 6 adults, 1 teen and 4 toddlers and there was more than enough space for everyone to enjoy time with the family or sneak away for some relaxing time. The outdoor space was amazing! Most of the time was spent in the pool during the day or making s’mores by the fire pit at night… Thank you for a great place to make some memories with our family!

Great home for a family vacation

The Owl’s Nest was the perfect home for our family vacation with ages ranging from 6 years old to 48 years old. The interior of the home is beautiful, spacious and clean. The kitchen is great for cooking indoors and the outdoor kitchen area was wonderful for grilling. The pool was perfect entertainment for not only the children, but the adults as well. The yard was a great size for our soccer loving kids to kick around the ball. The home is full of games, both indoor and outdoor. Michele was a wonderful host. She responded quickly to any and all inquiries. I definitely recommend this home as a vacation spot for families of all ages!

Great getaway

We had the most relaxing time. Area and home are both beautiful. With the pool and patio, we didn't even search out a beach. We did a casino trip and fishing trip and both were great. We will definitely consider this again next year for vacation.

Inside of house is nicer than the pics look. Backyard space is great. Rooftop is cool for sunsets. We had 9 people, you can do 11 with ease - plenty of space.

Great Family Vacation

We had a lovely stay at the Owl’s Nest! The house and backyard were beautiful. The house was very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. Enjoyed incredible sunsets from the roof deck and loved using the pool table and air hockey table. Beds were very comfortable. One thing to consider is that there are a lot of stairs in the house that we didn’t see in the pictures (a big staircase but also other small steps throughout the house) that could be difficult for very young children and seniors. We also found the pool to be smaller than we thought from the pictures, but it was still lovely, temperature was perfect and we had a great time swimming in it and enjoying the backyard. Our only complaint was that the outdoor grill was left dirty and we had to clean it ourselves, but Michele sent us two bottles of wine to apologize which was really nice and thoughtful! She was very responsive to any questions we had and provided a guide with all information prior to check in. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend her home!

Summer 2022

We had a wonderful experience in Waterford, Conn. The house was immaculate and well stocked with anything that we needed. Very well organized and Michelle was very attentive to our every need. The pool and the backyard was a definite plus as we enjoyed both several times throughout the week. The location was great also; we were close to the ocean as well as several seafood restaurants and even the Block Island ferry. We had a fabulous time and would return in a minute.

Beautiful, spacious home with many amenities

The Owl's Nest was a beautiful and impeccably clean home. The house and yard were extremely spacious, allowing plenty of room for our group of several families with small children to spread out. The yard was large with pool, lawn games, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and various seating areas. The house was well stocked with numerous items we found useful for our stay. Michele was very communicative and responsive to our questions. One downside was that, as a group traveling from out of state and unfamiliar with the area, we were surprised by the proximity to the nuclear power plant on the other side of the cove. I would also note that the nearest beach was more of a beach for the kids to dig in the sand and explore and not so much for swimming as it was rather rocky. That being said, several other beaches nearby were easily accessible by a short walk or car ride. This home was perfect for our group to have a leisurely vacation and we would definitely consider renting again.
