Good for large groups

This bach at Rangataua has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and is toasty warm over winter, with 2 heat pumps & a great fire. Good communal living area for family & friends. Perfect for multiple families. However if you are a light sleeper, be aware that the bach is located right next to a railway line, with trains running throughout the night. We were perhaps unlucky with our first night - when we had about 7 trains. The second night was better with only 2 trains. However, aside from this drawback, we thought the bach was very comfortable and we enjoyed our weekend at the mountain. Good communications from the owner as well. Thank you.

Property is very comfortable and clean, plenty of room and Rangataua is a really nice little area. First time we've been there in summer as opposed to winter and the views are great, 5 min from Ohakune and the shops.

Fantastic trip again, even with the storm knocking us out about a bit!

Fantastic trip again, even with the storm knocking us out about a bit! Property kept us warm and dry throughout a hell of a lot of snow and a day or so without power (water is well drawn, so no power also means no water - luckily there was plenty of snow to melt!), plenty of firewood to tide us over, and we had a great time. Love the new shower! Will definitely be back, no complaints at all :)

Great base for skiing. Excellent for large groups of people, we had 11 and all fitted in comfortably, house was lovely and warm, beds comfortable. Would definitely book again.

Great place to stay, easy and hassle-free booking (even with some late emails on our part!

Great place to stay, easy and hassle-free booking (even with some late emails on our part!) and accommodated our large group comfortably. Property is very warm and comfortable, the wood burner and heatpumps are more than adequate, and the kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cookware. It made preparing a roast dinner very easy not having to provide our own pots and pans! Love this place, will stay again for sure. Thanks heaps!

We had an excellent time in bach, plenty of room for our party of 11, with bedrooms to spare.

We had an excellent time in bach, plenty of room for our party of 11, with bedrooms to spare. The house was really warm day and night. Shower was great, never ran out of hot water. Coffee machine got a good workout. Thanks so much!

We loved our stay! The house was extremely clean and tidy when we arrived.

We loved our stay! The house was extremely clean and tidy when we arrived. The log fire kept us very warm and cosy! There were comfortable beds, and everything you need, including a coffee machine! Lovely quiet rural location. We will definitely be back!
