"A sunny, spacious New Zealand bach on a large elevated section in the quiet original part of Waitarere Beach. The master bedroom opens onto a deck with afternoon sun and a glimpse of the sea. The property is fully fenced and a short walk from the beach and village centre.

Bedrooms and bathrooms
– Master bedroom: queen bed, upstairs, with deck access and sea glimpse
– Bedroom 2: king-single + long single bed, upstairs
– Sleepout / bedroom 3: queen bed (included for groups of 5 or more — see below)
– Upstairs bathroom: shower and toilet
– Downstairs: separate toilet and shower

Living and outdoor spaces
– Open-plan kitchen and living area, fully equipped
– Covered outdoor dining area (enclosed carport) with BBQ
– Washer
– Large flat lawn, fully fenced — great for children and dogs
– Off-street parking on property
– WiFi throughout

Sleepout: groups of five or more automatically have access to a sleepout w/ queen bed and the downstairs shower. Smaller groups wanting the extra space can book for five to cover additional cleaning and power.

THE AREA

Waitarere Beach is a wide, flat, uncrowded west coast beach with surf lifesaving patrol in summer. Wellington is about 90 minutes south; Palmerston North under an hour east. The village has a Four Square, takeaways, café, and restaurant. Levin (full services) is 10 minutes by car.

Beach activities: swimming, surfing, fishing (Kahawai, Snapper, Groper, Gurnard, Flounder), boat launching off the beach, land yachts, whitebait fishing at the Manawatu and Ohau river mouths (seasonal). The Waitarere Forest has mountain biking and walking tracks, many linking through to the beach.

Dogs welcome: not upstairs, not on furniture, not left alone on the property during the day.

Bach tradition: guests are asked to clean the house and do the dishes before checkout. Bedding provided — please bring your own towels."
