About the home
“Mingalar” is a delightful single-storey family home in Cowes just metres from the beach & Anderson Road Jetty, and a short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
A central hallway provides access to Bedroom 1, featuring a 32" TV and an ensuite (with shower & toilet), leading to the large open plan Kitchen (with WIP)/Dining/Living Room (with 65" smart TV featuring Kayo sport, a DVD player with some DVDs) that flows through to the rear Alfresco. A side hall leads to Bedroom 2 (with a wall mounted 32" TV and BIR) & Bedroom 3 (with BIR), a large fully equipped European Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer), a Bathroom (with bath & shower), a separate Toilet and Bedroom 4 (which doubles as a second Living Room) with a 32" smart TV and some board games.
Outdoor Areas
The delightful rear covered Alfresco (with gas BBQ & seating for 6 people) can be accessed from the Living Room and Bedroom 4/Living Room 2, and overlooks the enclosed rear & side yard which features an incredible inground electric heated Swim Spa (4.3m x 2.4m; 1.5 deep), a two-seater Sauna, a hot/cold outdoor shower to wash off and a firepit (wood not provided). While there is no access to the Garage, there is space to park up to 4 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the driveway.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and gas cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are two wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners; one in the Living room & another in Bedroom 4/the 2nd Living Room. There is a wood-heater available (wood not provided).
Bedding Configuration
This home has 8 beds, accommodating up to 9 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: Two single beds
Bedroom 3: One Queen bed
Bedroom 4: One set of Tri bunks and one Double sofa bed
Note: Bedroom 4 doubles as a second Living Room.
Please note: A Tri-bunk bed has a double bed on the bottom, and a single bed above it.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
