Escape to a one-of-a-kind treehouse on 42 wooded acres in the Lost Pines, just 15 minutes from Bastrop. Sip coffee on the wraparound deck, shower beneath the trees, and spend your evenings grilling, stargazing, or relaxing beside the fire pit.
Perfect for romantic getaways, quiet weekends, and nature-loving dog owners—and dogs stay free. 🐾
THE SPACE
Perched among the trees, the Elf’s Aerie offers the fun of a semi-off-grid retreat with the comforts you need to relax year-round.
Inside you’ll find:
• One queen bed
• Two lounge chairs that convert into individual twin beds
• Air conditioning and heat
• A mini fridge
• A Keurig with coffee provided
• Linens, towels, and essential toiletries
• Board games and a Bluetooth speaker
The treehouse sleeps up to four guests. Bedding is provided for all three sleeping spaces.
OUTDOOR LIVING
The 360° raised deck surrounds you with peaceful treetop views and includes comfortable places to sit, sip a drink, and watch for wildlife.
Below the treehouse, you’ll have:
• A private open-air shower with hot and cold water
• A clean composting toilet
• An outdoor kitchen and dishwashing area
• A propane grill with cooking essentials
• A picnic and gathering area
• A fire pit, when local burn bans allow
The mini fridge is best for essentials, so we recommend bringing a cooler with ice if you plan to store extra food or drinks.
DOGS STAY FREE 🐕
Your dogs are welcome with no pet fee. The wooded property offers plenty of new sights and smells to investigate, but the area is not fully fenced, so dogs should be supervised outdoors.
LOCATION
The Aerie feels secluded while keeping you close to Bastrop’s restaurants, shops, groceries, and outdoor attractions:
• Approximately 15 minutes to downtown Bastrop
• Approximately 8 miles to Bastrop State Park
• Approximately 8 miles to Lake Bastrop
• Approximately 10 miles to the Colorado River and kayaking
Guests are welcome to explore the trails throughout the 42-acre property.
GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING
The Elf’s Aerie is a nature-based, semi-off-grid experience rather than a traditional house.
• The bathroom and outdoor shower are below the main treehouse
• There is no Wi-Fi or TV—this is an intentional place to unplug
• The kitchen is outdoors and does not include a traditional stove or oven
• The property is shared with three other rental homes and several family residences, although the treehouse and its guest areas are private
• You may encounter insects, wildlife, and ordinary rural sounds
• Fire-pit use depends on current burn restrictions
If you’re looking for a peaceful, whimsical escape with a touch of adventure, the Elf’s Aerie is ready to welcome you.
