The resorts offer downhill skiing, marked snowshoe trails, and ski touring. You can also expand your options with the 4 Vallées Pass, which gives you access to Saint-Lary-Pla-d’Adet (30 minutes from the gondola) and Piau-Engaly (1 hour). Luchon and Super-Bagnères are also accessible via the Col de Peyresourdes, about 45 minutes away. You’ll find two sleds and two pairs of snowshoes available at our cottage.
In summer, numerous well-marked hiking and trail running routes allow you to explore the valley or head up to higher elevations to discover the turquoise-blue lakes of the mountain range (the Bareilles Lakes, the Pouchergues Lakes, the Caillauas Lakes…and, of course, the Neouvielle Lakes in the nearby Aure Valley…), and to get within 3,000 meters of the summit (hiking guides available). There are several possible starting points for hikes from the village or nearby. Thrill-seekers will prefer to race down the slopes on a mountain bike along one of the many marked trails, or take their first paragliding flight at one of the schools in Loudenvielle. After your adventure, you can recharge at the Balnéa thermal spa and recreation center, have fun with the family at Ludéa, or enjoy water activities (kayaking, pedal boats) on Lake Genos.
For cycling enthusiasts, the legendary mountain passes of the Pyrenees await: Peyresourde, Aspin, Col
