3 Bedroom 2 bath close to South Beach and Kid’s Korner Park. Maple St Cottage on the Corner is located in beautiful South Haven, MI in a wonderful family friendly neighborhood. This cute house turned 100 years old in 2020! Walking distance, only 2 blocks to South Beach using the Blue Stairs. Your kids will love the big waves and sandy shoreline of South Beach during the day and evening walks into town for ice cream before watching the Lake MI sunset.

Our fun house is centrally located to the Kid’s Corner park and blue stair beach! A quick walk towards downtown to shopping, restaurants, splash pad and the river. Please note that both bathrooms are located on the main floor & this cute cottage is over 100 years old!

The whole house is available for your use!

We are available via phone and text during your stay!

Blue stair beach of South Beach

Driveway can hold 4 cars and street parking is available in front of the house. The city does not allow cars to be parked over the sidewalk or in the yellow painted areas on the street. Please do not park on the road between 2:30-6:30 am November 15 - March 15 for street to be plowed.

Both bathrooms are on the main floor due to layout because the cottage is over 100 years old. There is a small step up and down from the living room to the dining room & the dining room to the kitchen from an addition put on 50 years ago. Make sure to watch your step, reflection tape is on the steps.

Molly was very responsive to messages. The house is on the smaller side but very well kept and in a great location! It's a very quiet street with quick access to the beach and town.

This is a fantastic home for families--it was perfect for our crew of five. The location is ideal. You can see the lake from the side yard, and it's just one block to a wonderful playground. The house is cute, clean, with a great beach-y vibe. The porch is fantastic; it is shady with lots of comfy seating. And the kitchen was the best stocked rental I've ever been to. All of the basics are there--coffee, cooking oil, spices, and the utensils and pots/pans, etc. were like-new and of good quality. If I had a question, it was answered within moments. Great stay.

Cottage on the Corner

We enjoyed a short, 5-day stay here early in the season. The accommodations were clean and well located; the only shortcoming was in the size and location of the bathrooms. Supplies were adequate and so were towels and linens.

Kid's Corner Playground and the beach are so close. The area was quiet and the house was clean.

Cute Clean Cottage on the Corner

Great stay with my three sisters for a quick get away to South Haven Michigan !! Plenty of room and kitchen was well supplied!! We didn’t find bikes but really didn’t find time for them !! Great neighborhood went for a nice easy walk to beach and around the area !!

October Family Getaway

This was a lovely home with ample room for our family of seven (including a baby). The location was ideal for walking to the beach. The neighborhood was family friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great weekend retreat

Great location

Very nice cottage. Quaint and close (2blocks) to beach. Second time here and love the front porch sitting on a quiet street. Coffee maker had moldy coffee grinds when we arrived, some windows were left unlocked upon first entering the house, and a container of McDonalds fries were left in the upstairs bedroom between bed and nightstand. Perhaps a more thorough attention to detail in cleaning is needed, otherwise a wonderful stay with a well equipped kitchen. Thank you!

Great location for a family stay

After many years staying with family in South Haven, this was the first time we'd stayed "as far south" of downtown as this or took advantage of the Kids Corner park a block away. It was a great location for accessing the park, the beach, and the bike trail (starts across the street) that heads south to Van Buren State Park. The house was ideal for our family of five and a mid-week visitor. Having the main restroom off the kitchen was no deal for us, but might be something that some groups might find less than ideal. As advertised, the house was well stocked with kitchen gear and tableware. There were also lots of supplies for the beach...chairs, umbrellas, wagon, bikes, raft, toys, etc. It is a great Cottage on the Corner.

You will love your stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay here for our family vacation! It is so close to the kid's corner park and the blue stairs to the beach. It was so nice to just walk there instead of loading the kids in and out of the car each time. It's a really quiet area and was so relaxing to sit out on the front porch at night. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need including a ton of kids plates bowls and cups silverware, high chair, 2 different coffee makers, air fryer and more. We also met the owner while we were there and she was so nice! I definitely recommend this place for families!

Perfect location!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage in South Haven. It was very clean and the location was absolutely perfect- just a quick walk down the street to the playground and beach, and a short walk to town. The house had everything we needed and we loved the front porch and appreciated the old house charm. We would love to go back!

Great location

4 blocks from the beach and 1/2 a mile from the downtown shops - was the perfect place for my girlfriends and I to stay. Although 'in town' it was quiet enough to open the windows to listen to the waves without traffic noise. Will definitely be back!

Spring break at SoHa

We love South Haven and the property was amazing. It would be perfect for the summer and we may have to try to return during that time of year. We came to visit family and enjoyed the house very much.

Great Location

This is an absolutely great location near the playground and beach with super well equipped kitchen. It was hard not having a bathroom upstairs though as we had small children that had to go up and down the stairs.

Girls Weekend

Had a great stay for Shop til you drop Saturday. Great quiet location with walking distance to town. Wonderful room for all six of us. Enjoyed the porch and deck even if it was on the cooler side. Communication with the owner was exceptional. Highly recommend.

Great location!

We stayed at Cottage on the Corner for 5 days over fall break. Our group of 6 was very comfortable in the house and had everything we needed for a great stay. We cooked a couple meals at the house and the kitchen is better stocked than any house we have ever rented. We enjoyed the front porch swing and used the provided bikes. We loved being so close to Kid’s Korner and the blue stairs.

Quaint cottage

Our overall stay was wonderful! Great location! Close to Lake Michigan. Very walkable!! We had two concerns. #1. Both full baths are on the first floor. #2. The steps are narrow going upstairs and when you almost get to the top of stairs, there is no railing to grab on to at the top. Can be dangerous of older people.

Great location and front porch.

Great location and the front porch is amazing. The upstairs bedrooms are not ideal if you need to use a bathroom during the night because the floors squeak like crazy. The house itself is perfect for a small group and you can’t beat the location!

Perfect location

My husband, tween-age kids and our dear friends all stayed at the cottage for 4 days and 3 nights and we lvoed it! The location was as ideal is it gets - we walked EVERYWHERE, to South Beach and all around the downtown South Haven area. When we had issues with the dryer not working, the owners responded and let us know we didn't have to worry about starting a laundry load before leaving. The bunk bed was noisy when my kids turned in bed, and the floors were creaky upstairs but that is to be expected in an older home! I only mention it because for light sleepers it might be an issue, but my kids slept fine with the sound machine on we brought from home. The neighborhood was very quiet at night even with the blueberrry festival going on! We were very happy at the cottage and would absolutely come back.

Cozy Cottage - We are Smitten!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage! Plenty of space for all of us and every amenity we needed courteous of our thoughtful hosts. Easy walk to the beach and incredible playground. Peaceful front porch with a swing to watch the world go by. Highly recommend as a great place to get away!
