Birchwood #11 has been fully remodeled from floor to ceiling, adding modern amenities and comforts to the cabin’s original cozy charm. Now with all new flooring, windows, furniture, and appliances, you’ll find all of the comforts of home during your Northwoods vacation! Cabin #11 is uniquely perched above the lakefront, creating the illusion that you’re on top of the water while enjoying the view from your very own cabin.

Cabin #11 is one story with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. The cabin welcomes you to an open-concept living room, dining room, and kitchen, bathing in natural light from the bay windows that expand the entire lakeside of the cabin. The kitchen is a welcome nod to modern luxuries with granite countertops, new appliances, and all the amenities of home to cook and entertain on your lakefront vacation. Cozy up around the gas fireplace while watching the lakefront right outside your cabin’s door.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the private deck overlooking the water or fish right from the private dock just steps down from your cabin’s front door. Cook up some smores over the firepit while basking underneath the starry Northwoods nights.

Birchwood Resort has been upgraded and reimagined to showcase the rustic style of the Northwoods and the natural beauty of the resort's ¼ mile of frontage on Little Saint Germain Lake. A private, sandy beach is at the center of the resort, providing a safe and memorable space to swim and splash in the water. Kayaks, canoes, and peddle boats are available for guest use, perfect for exploring the island just offshore.

Little Saint Germain Lake is a 972-acre lake with several bays to explore and enjoy. Known for great fishing and boating, anglers find musky, panfish, bass, pike, and walleye. Winter adventures are even more fun with over 500+ miles of snowmobile trail throughout Vilas county.

Weekend Getaway

Great place, great communication, they upgraded our stay due to construction. Only thing was the beds need updated you roll to the middle. Great place would stay again.

End of summer vacation

This was my first trip up to Lake St. Germain. We had a wonderful trip ,The vacation home we rented a cabin was everything we wanted and more we rented out a pontoon boat and got it in a timely manner and had a most enjoyable time boating around the lake .This is somewhere we certainly want to revisit again and we will use Hilliard vacation homes for all our rental needs . Myself and my family had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Cute cabin w great views and dog friendly

Over all this is a very cute cabin as described in the staff is very nice. The lake and amenities are are good and the dog areas are a nice added bonus. The only negative was the water had a strong sulfur smell and we had to bring our own towels. The fireplace added a cozy touch!

Great spot to get away!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I really enjoyed this cabin for just the two of us and our dog. It was our first time visiting this area and the rental was perfect for us. The cabin next to this one is kind of close so it would be perfect for anyone wanting to do a trip with more friends and family.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The decks on both these units were unsafe and falling apart in many areas. We had a 2 year old plus 4lb dogs that made it VERY VERY scary that they would fall through or the spindle wouldnt hold. The steps down to the dock were very steep and were not steps and had no railing to hold onto. Therefore, 2 of the guests were not able to get to the boat. The pictures make it look much bigger than they are. The inside was very nice and new, however, the 2nd bedroom would only accommodate very small children, not 1 adult. Couldn't even walk around the bed. For the price they charge, these items should be addressed. Will not return and will not recommend. Lastly, it might be nice to clean the inside and outside of the windows so you can in fact see the lake. They were so filthy.

Cleanliness upon arrival was an issue

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was fairly nice overall, but one thing that could have been done easily was to clean the place better. Mainly the windows looked like they had not been cleaned in probably over a year. Cleaning the windows on the inside even would have been nice and cleaning them on the outside as well would have drastically improved the experience. The windows are huge picture windows which is really one of the reasons the place looked so nice online. The view of the lake would have been nice to enjoy, but it was difficult through yucky windows. The floors were a bit sandy and there were toenails left from previous tenants even so it wasn't vacuumed very well. Also nothing in the place ever dried so there was a rug in the bathroom that was sopping wet and remained that way the entire time. Other than cleanliness it would be nice to have a bit more privacy. The door to the cabin has a clear window on it and it is about 15 or 20 feet from the cabin next door. A privacy divider between the cabins would be a huge bonus or even a shade to cover the window on the door would be a plus. On the positive side the cabin had air conditioning and was fairly comfortable when we were there. Ice trays and a regular coffee machine were missing so I had to go buy coffee from a shop the first day we were there, but it was resolved quickly when the property manager brought over a new coffee maker and ice trays after I let them know. The location was nice since we were able to get on the main road of saint germain in about 5 minutes by car. The fishing off the pier by the cabin wasn't too bad either. My kids also enjoyed the beach on the property.

Stay at Birchwood Resort #11

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cottage, in general, met our needs. Appliances & furniture were good. Boat/trailer parking were fantastic. But see below:1) There was supposed to be power & a light available at dock. Neither outlet nor light were functioning. Notified Hiller, but problem was never addressed.2) For cottage capable of housing 7 people, dishes & glassware did not support that. 3) Smoke alarms were extremely sensitive, going off when we used just the toaster!4) Docks had great cleats, but posts were missing protective caps which caused our boats to be scratched. We figured out temp fix, contacted Hiller, but again, nothing was addressed.5) One bedroom door was scratching wooden floor. Contacted Hiller but received no follow up.6) At night, we could see light shining up thru floor vents & tub drain. Perhaps someone should check why a light is on below the cottage.7) Firepit hindered parking area, so we moved it.8) We were aware of steps down to dock; were told they weren't too bad. But they proved to be difficult for some of us. Varying types of treads, varying heights of each rise & lack of railing all the way down, required very careful navigation! This was very important to us due to health condition of one guest; we had discussed with Hiller prior to booking; were very disappointed in their condition. Neighboring guests relayed similar experience w/Hiller & steps.9) Surprised there was no screen door & no screens on living area windows. Only two small bedroom windows had screens.10) Mattress in room w/bunk bed had deep dip in middle, making it difficult to sleep two people.11) Bathroom was nice, but shower doors leaked water thru caulking.

Cozy cabin with new finishes

Very nice but small and lacks in hooks to hang coats and place to store suitcase/clothes. Bedroom with bunk is cramped. Nice kitchen, warm shower and TV. Beautiful view. Overall very nice stay.

rough start but our weekend ended wonderfully

Reviewer Comments: Well we picked the weekend that the storm came through; so that left us at the laundromat the first hour we arrived for our relaxing weekend. Then we had no power till the next day but when we open the door to our cabin what a surprise that was. Great job for all the hard work every one is doing remolding, updating & making peoples stay comfortable. My only suggestions would be more mirrors and hooks on the walls, by the entrance door also. We also rented a pontoon boat, that did not work properly but when we called (it did take over 40 minutes) very polite, helpful people came to see what the issue was. My husband did work on the boat for over 2 hours. Luckily he knew what the issue was & the gentlemen that came to help had the new item need to fix the boat.
