Blackbeard’s Lakefront Bungalow - convenient location with year-round lake views

Year-round Lake views plus the perfect location for boating, events, and enjoyment makes the perfect home!
Home is situated up overlooking the Lake below. Home will make you feel like you are away from it all while only being two miles to fantastic restaurants, shopping, and more! less than five miles to a boat ramp and one to private boat rental.

Fantastic one level open floor plan. Vaulted ceilings and updated kitchen open to the great room. Oversized bedrooms in a split floor plan with two large king bedrooms and nice queen bedroom as well. Two full updated bathrooms with tile, towels and bath items provided.
All bedrooms have gel memory foam mattresses. Master has attached bathroom while other two bedrooms share a full bathroom. A queen memory foam fold out sofa allows for additional guests alongside another queen foldout if needed.
Each bedroom has flatscreen TVs with roku sticks and there is WiFi throughout home. Master has DVD player also. PS3 with games located in living along with Apple TV to cast from you phone or iPad.

Large dining area ample for meals together or playing games.
Screened in porch and TWO backyard decks let you enjoy the outside to its fullest! Up to a four person spa on the private screen porch for colder nights and winter months. Gas grill and outdoor firepit add to the fun. Corn hole boards are in garage for added enjoyment.
Two marinas, a boat club with rentals available and multiple ramps nearby. Circle drive with additional parking let you bring your lake toys with you!

Comfortable and relaxing

We had a great stay at Blackfoot Bungalow! The house is comfortable and has most everything you need. The view from the back deck is so peaceful. It's a drop so I am thankful we didn't have little ones with us. The driveway is steep and a little tricky due to the narrow turn from the road and trees lining the drive. There is a small pad off to the side which was helpful. We were able to park a 22ft bass boat attached to a full size truck and a 18ft bass boat on a full size truck with little problem. The screened in porch with hot tub on the back patio is a nice addition. Lots of fishing and shopping! The only thing I would have liked to see is a closet/dresser for clothes in the master. Bought a wrinkle release spray, so problem solved. And maybe add a hand mixer to the kitchen.

Don't bring your boat! No room!

It was a nice secluded home tucked away on a small back road.had a good stay not with issues. No hot water in the kitchen!the grill was rusted out.inop!! Dangerous in fact.the trash cans were full.the toilet in the main bathroom was very loose.and we was very fortunate to get in and out of the small steep driveway.

Time with family

Property was clean and everything we expected. The host were great and very attentive. My family comes to Somerset often and have been to every hotel in town. We will be staying here from now on.

Perfect Place

July-2024, stayed for a week of exploring the Daniel Boone National Forrest on touring motorcycles. The home was clean and just as described. It’s close enough to every need, but just far enough away to feel mostly isolated. The neighborhood was very quiet and yet welcoming. A great place to get away! 5/5 stars….and Casey was attentive to all correspondences. Would absolutely stay again, if back in the area.

We Came Back For Seconds

This is our second time staying here at Casey's place. The layout of the home is ideal for 2 or 3 couples. The home is charming. The beds are very comfortable. I love it. The street is a dead end and perfect for a morning walk. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The view of the lake is spectacular. We saw blue heron, my favorite. The house is close to everything you could possibly want. The time spent with my family was enhanced by staying here. Thanks Casey

Family weekend getaway

This is the second we have rented this house in the last year. It is a nice and peaceful location to visit. Very affordable price for a 3 bedroom house. We will be a repeat customer.

Everything that was advertised was spot on! Our entire stay was lovely. The house was immaculate, the check in process was easy. I would definitely go back but maybe when it’s a bit warmer! I highly recommend this VRBO!

Beautiful home

The home is well equipped with all that you need for a family of four or more. The kitchen is well equipped to ensure that you're not washing cups before the next person gets to have coffee plenty of dishes, pots and pans, silverware. Well equipped plenty of toiletries,trash bags, everything that you need so that you're not having to buy or bring extras. Sufficient bedding, pillows, towels, toiletries. Owner is quick to respond. The beds were a little firmer than expected, making that less comfortable for some. The location is wonderful close to many sites and restaurants etc. The back yard is pretty, with a view of the lake/river. If you have small children might be challenging as the drop off to the lake is steep but otherwise it is a beautiful yard and well equipped or bonfires and sitting outside.

Double Wow Factor

When we walked in the front door all our jaws dropped as we said wow! It looked like a magazine cover. Then we went to the backyard and the lake view dropped our jaws again. The house was very clean, comfortable and adorable. The beds are very comfortable. The place is well equipped. I walked the lengthy dead end street in front of the house one morning and never saw a person, car or dog. The neighborhood houses are nice and well kept. It is a peaceful, quiet street. In fact, I would love to live here. Somerset has a fabulous highway system and we enjoyed exploring, shopping and eating out. Casey, the host is top notch. I’m coming back in the spring and fall of next year.

Great home

The home was very comfortable and clean. Everything was so convenient. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishes. The appliances were clean and in working order. Now about the comment on the train, it is just faint and relaxing. The beds were clean. The neighborhood is quiet. We did not use the spa tub. We did use the gas grill and it was nice. We ate at Sonny’s and Mellow Mushroom Pizza. We had a boat and spent a lot of time on the lake. We drove over Daniel Boone Forest and used the Keno shooting range. There is so much to do nearby.

Beautiful Home and Location

The location is beautiful and the neighborhood is very quiet. Had to get use to the train horns at night though! The size and layout of the house was perfect for our family of 4. We had an amazing time hiking in Daniel Boone National Forest.

Great stay near Cumberland Falls

My family had a great stay over fall break. We loved the location. Close to restaurants/groceries but easy to get to either side of the lake or go the the national forest/state parks. We had two of the best hikes ever just a 30 minute drive out the door. It is a lovely house on nice property. The house was updated, great showers, and cozy with all the essentials. It was the perfect size for our family of four, but we didn't use the three-season room too frequently as it's cooled off. Do be aware, however, that there is a railroad across the river so there were lots of horns/noise at night. Overall a great place in a beautiful area of the state.

Perfect place to get together!

This was just what we were looking for.... a lovely, clean, and comfortable 3 bedroom house for old friends to get together for a few days. This one story house was perfect for seniors and the outdoor spaces were wonderful. We had everything we needed and more.... would love to return next year!

Ive been searching for a home and found the perfect one when I saw this! I hope you enjoy the peaceful water, the marinas nearby, and the lovely city Somerset as much as I do!

This property is the perfect size, all one level, with updated everything. It is very close to shopping, dining, and entertainment, but still has the feeling of being secluded on the water. The front yard has beautiful plants and areas for birdwatching while the backyard is all about the lake! The water is so peaceful, the decks are fantastic, and the night sky is full of stars.

Year round lake views with one level living and a split floor plan. All bedrooms are nice sizes and two are extra spacious with king beds. This property is beautiful with great outdoor space. It feels secluded but is minutes to great shopping and marinas. The screened porch is perfect for morning coffee.
