As dusk falls, the soft glow of paper lanterns spills onto the streets, and the scent of incense or freshly brewed matcha drifts from hidden teahouses.

What I enjoy most is the sense of living inside a living museum. I love taking leisurely walks along the nearby canal, where weeping willows dip into the water and old stone bridges arch gracefully. We’re only a few minutes’ walk from bus stops and subway stations, so getting to Kyoto’s famous sights is effortless. Yet our building sits on a quiet side street away from the main traffic, so even without special soundproofing, the area itself is naturally peaceful — you’ll rarely hear more than the occasional footsteps or birdsong.

Right outside the door, you’ll find a wonderful food scene. Within a five‑minute stroll, there are dozens of izakaya, ramen shops, traditional kaiseki restaurants, trendy cafés, and bars. Whether you want a quick snack or a long dinner, you’ll never run out of choices.

Inside, we’ve made the room as comfortable as possible. The bed has soft, breathable linens; the warm wooden floors and gentle lighting create a cozy atmosphere; the kitchenette includes basic cookware and utensils; and the bathroom is clean, with a separate shower and toilet.

We also take your privacy seriously. The room has its own private entrance, and the layout ensures you feel completely separate from any neighbours.
