Cozy Banana Cabana w/ soaking tub heated floors in secluded garden

This tranquil getaway is perfect for the travel enthusiast with an eye for the unique and artsy! In the cool fall and winter season enjoy the cozy ambience of the cottage featuring heated floors and a corner soaking tub. Our newly built bungalow features beautiful wood beams, stone, tile heated floor, king size bed, corner soaking tub with large rain shower head and a British Colonial/safari/world travel inspired interior. The cabana looks out into a secluded backyard with used brick patio, mature banana plants and bamboo, outdoor fireplace and gentle water fountains and beautifully planted flower pots. Spring and summer months are perfect for enjoying our lush garden with outdoor fireplace.

The space
The Banana Cabana is situated in the backyard of our property with the main house at the front. The bungalow is a fully separate unit with your own entrance by keypad. Upon your arrival, your choice of red or white wine or non-alcoholic beverage will be waiting along with a special Seattle treat. Sit along the raw edge wood bar and enjoy a glass!

You are welcome to enjoy any of the yard spaces and we'll be sure to respect your privacy while you relax in these shared areas. The garden in summer is a magical space with stone and stucco fireplace, flowing fountains, comfortable picnic space, many small lights (if desired), flowers and birds. In the colder seasons you are welcome to sit by the fire before you retire inside to the cozy space complete with heated floors and triangle soaking tub.

The living space includes a fun retro record player complete with an ecletic mix of records. You can also relax with your own bluetooth, play CD's, tapes or radio. You'll find a new 55" screen TV that pulls out to swivel toward living room or bed. We have Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime options available (and cable live TV through Hulu). The house is wifi enabled. We'll be there to help get you online. Large windows open out to the garden and a large skylight above create a bright and cheery space.

The bedroom is part of an open floor plan designed for one or two people. A comfy king size bed is made up with luxurious quality sheets, comforter and quilt. Overhead, you'll find a rattan fan to cool the room if needed. In cooler months, you'll find the floors toasty warm and wall heaters for your control. Cozy robes await your arrival.

A cute kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and accessories for all your cooking needs. We'll leave the basics such as sugar, seasonings, cooking oil, coffee and tea to help you get started. A hand cut raw-edge wood bar with bar stools look out into the garden and provide a great spot for a relaxing meal. We also have convenient electronic charging at the bar and at the record player.

The bath is well stocked with soft fluffy towels, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Kick back after a day of sightseeing in the triangle tub with a glass of wine.

The house is being cleaned to the specifications of standards to ensure you have the best possible experience with us.

Parking is available on the street, usually right out front.

Guest access
The Banana Cabana is a fully contained, stand alone cottage with it's own keyless entry. The yard spaces are shared but if you are using an area we will give you your space and privacy.
