Alki Beach Bungalow

Come stay at our refurbished 1910 Beach Bungalow on Alki Point. It has all the modern amenities and comfort while maintaining its old world charm. Our master bedroom with a queen bed has an attached exercise changing room that can be used as a third bedroom, with a queen or twin aero bed and linens.
Our bungalow has a unique feature. The second bedroom with a queen bed and T.V. is downstairs. It has its own seprate entrance along with a bathroom, sitting room and office area.
This is perfect for two couples. Due to limited space there are no bathtubs in either of the bathrooms, showers only. Our bungalow is surrounded by a beautiful flower garden that was featured in the 2003 West Seattle Garden tour. View the garden from the front porch or around back on our custom built deck, where you will find a hot tub, table and chairs, built in fish pond and lots of afternoon sun. A great place for sunbathing, entertaining or just relaxing with a good book.

Beach combing, birding, kayaking, sunsets, with views of the Olympics and Mount Rainier can be found on the beach three blocks to the south. Three blocks to the north puts you right in the middle of all the action on Alki Beach, with its sandy beach, boardwalk, bike path, restaurants and shops. This is a very popular beach, perfect for people watching, romantic walks, beautiful sunsets and city views.

The bus line is a half a block away from the bungalow that will take you to downtown Seattle or catch the free water taxi shuttle at the bus stop down on Alki at the bus stop next to Starbucks, it will take you to the Water Taxi. You will enjoy a short ride across Elliot Bay to the Downtown Waterfront where you can easily walk to the Public Market, Stadiums, Pioneer Square, Convention Center, Theaters, and much more.

Return after a full day to our bungalow with all its comforts of home:
Hot tub, LED flat screen TV, full kitchen, pillow top queen size beds, and much more, are all here to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Great comfortable house with lots of extras such as herbs and spices, coffee and olive oil. The garden is very peaceful and a terrific deck. We had a car for part of our stay and appreciated the bus at the end of the street, although it is a bit of a hike to downtown. Great neighbourhood and hosts were very flexible re check in and check out times.

Lovely cottage with incredibly comfortable beds. The space is open, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. The koi pond was a charming touch, and although we didnā€™t use the hot tub this time, we hope to on a future visit. This is an ideal spot for exploring South Seattle, conveniently located, with the beach and neighborhood both within walking distance. The hosts were exceptional, responding promptly to all our requests. Everything about our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The photos do not do this property justice. This home is warm, cozy and full of character; from the gardens to the local art to the amenities, it was SO CHARMING! The neighborhood is beautiful and close to great restaurants. Pam was super responsive and kind. 5 stars!

The property was everything the VRBO site showed. The bungalow was lovely and the gardens even lovelier. I loved feeding the koi! We spent many hours on the deck and enjoyed the near proximity to both restaurants AND the beach! If we ever get back to Seattle, we will stay here again!!

Beautiful Beachy Bungalow

The whole family enjoyed this bungalow as home base for our Seattle vacation. We loved being able to retreat from the city center to the much calmer vibe of west Seattle. The place had the perfect layout for everyone to stretch their legs. We walked and biked to the beach many times. Took the free shuttle at 63rd and Alki to the west Seattle water taxi pier for a beautiful ferry ride to downtown! The porch was perfect in the evenings! Hosts were gracious. Wonderful stay!

Perfect Stay

Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. We would definitely choose this again if we come back to the area. Pam and Tom are the most thoughtful and welcoming hosts. Their bungalow is beautiful and comfortable. The neighborhood is nice, quiet, and safe. Alki Beach area is great, and easily walkable. And youā€™re just a convenient and enjoyable water taxi ride from downtown Seattle. Totally recommend.

Wonderful stay at alki beach bungalow

The house was lovely with artwork done by one of the owners The house was spacious with comfy beds and the best stocked kitchen that I've ever seen! The gardens were beautiful and we had fun every day feeding the Koi in the small pond The hot tub was a bonus too! I highly recommend this beautiful bungalow!The owners were always available and very kind and generous !

Home away from home

This home was beautifully put together. Very relaxing and felt content staying there. Highly recommend to those who want to feel relaxed and love being around greenery. Gorgeous plants everywhere outside. My five year old and I had a wonderful time looking up names of plants . Iā€™d definitely stay there again. Itā€™s a short sweet walk to Alki beach.

Gorgeous Gardens!

We stayed in mid-April and were truly impressed by the beautiful garden. Relaxing on both the back deck and front porch was a highlight of our visit. The hot tub was exceptionalā€”one of the best Iā€™ve experienced. The home was thoughtfully stocked, and the beds were incredibly comfortable.

Perfect house for family guests

My family had a great experience staying here. They rated it as 5 star. Nice quiet neighborhood with an easy 10 minute walk to the beach area and some beautiful sunsets. House is bright and roomy with cute and unique decorative items and books. Yard has lovely variety of plantings. Well appointed with appliances, beach towels, extra bathing suits and hot tub. Pam and Tom were great hosts, easy to communicate with and most helpful about answering questions.

Winter get away

My brother, sister-in-law from Colorado and myself from Portland OR were visiting Seattle to see family and spend time with our new great niece/granddaughter. This little bungalow was perfect! Each of us had our separate space and there was plenty of room for family dinners and visits. We walked to the beach everyday and enjoyed some of the Alki restaurants and views. We will definitely stay here again!

This home is so special! The decor is wonderful and split level design allows for privacy for 2 couples with beautiful grounds for shared outdoor time. We loved the area! So quiet and access to walking along the shore of the Sound was amazing. Owner was very friendly and helpful. We plan to come back on another occasion!!
