Welcome to Colony Inn Unit 11, a warm and family-friendly island retreat on beautiful Sanibel Island! Professionally managed by Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals, this inviting getaway is nestled within the peaceful Colony Inn community, just a 3 minute walk from the sparkling Gulf waters and soft sandy beaches. It's the perfect home base for families looking to enjoy everything Sanibel has to offer—from world-famous shelling and gentle bike rides along scenic paths to local ice cream shops, casual dining, and charming island boutiques.

Inside, you'll find a bright and comfortable space designed with family time in mind. The spacious living area offers plenty of room to gather after a full day of beach adventures—whether you're watching a movie together, playing games, or simply relaxing and sharing stories from the day. The fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances makes it easy to prepare family meals, pack picnic lunches for the beach, or enjoy a relaxed breakfast before heading out to explore.

The primary bedroom features two comfortable double beds, offering a cozy and restful space for a good night's sleep after sunny days in the sand and surf. A queen sleeper sofa in the living area provides additional sleeping space, making this unit ideal for families and small groups traveling together.

From sunrise beach walks to sunset skies over the Gulf, Colony Inn Unit 11 is a welcoming place where families can slow down, reconnect, and create unforgettable island memories together.

The accommodations were great. New was the decor throughout the unit, furniture and all appliances. Nice screened in porch and rear access to the outside amenities. The actual location was ideal as well, off the main island roadway and on the east end where there is less traffic. The lighthouse is nearby and the beach is a short walk behind the unit. Shells everywhere on the beach at low tide. Overall stay was a nine out of ten but we have never given a ten.

Great location, good value, fully functional property.

We enjoyed our stay overall but cleanliness needs improvement. The floors were filthy, I have a crawling baby and needed to clean the floors myself because she kept picking up dirt and crumbs from previous guests. There was also sand remaining. It was pretty disappointing.

Great Place but outside management...

On site workers and manager was amazing BUT whoever booked us, who claimed to be the managers for the place, texted me TWICE at midnight! This is a big NO when on vacation - waking up customers with surveys (or information) at midnight is unacceptable. To boot, the texts were full of misspellings and unreadable. I am guessing it was computer generated but still unacceptable. When I checked out they sent me an email and a text(full of misspellings) that said "Get ready for your stay at the Colony Inn..." and another midnight text that night. I eventually texted back and told them to remove me from the list that I already has my stay there. Also when I was on site, just after checking in, I called and the outside management (not on site) couldn't answer my questions and put me on hold twice. I was asking if the resort sold bottled water or where can I purchase some on the island. Anyway, the apartment was beautiful and fully equipped. I would return but demand no texts from their outside management.

Excelente experiencia

Es la segunda vez que nos hospedamos en colony inn,la primera fue a tes del huracán ian,y nos encantó el lugar,ahora regresamos un poco. excepticos pero igual superó nuestras espectativas,todo remodelado,el personal super amable,la paz y la tranquilidad que te regala el lugar,la playa ,el paisaje su fauna es paradisíaco, continua siendo uno de los lugares favoritos para vacacionar en familia,altamente recomendado para descansar del bullicio de la ciudad y relajarse.

Wonderful stay

Great room. Kitchen is full of supplies. Beds are very comfortable. Separate entrance in the back was very convenient. Short walk to the beach. We will definitely be back! If I had to complain I'd say the tv in the living room is very small but we're on vacation so that's not a valid complaint. 9/10.
