Beautiful Ocean Front Home with 2 separate but connected living spaces including 2 kitchens. Perfect for an extended family (grandparents plus grown children), or 2 families vacationing together.

House has an incredible 220 degree Panoramic Ocean View and over 900 feet of waterfront. It sits on 10 gorgeous acres, surrounded by wildflowers with direct water access, a sandy beach, and a 200-foot pier. Enjoy post-card perfect scenes of lobster boats and seals from the decks and every window.

4 adult bedrooms comfortably accommodate up to 8, plus 3 additional beds for kids (total beds: 2 kings, 2 queens, 1 double bunk and 1 single). 3 Full Bathrooms.

Fresh lobsters, clams and fish can be purchased direct from the fishermen within 1 mile at a local lobster pier.

Local area activities available include boat and kayak rental, museums, golf, hiking, shopping, and much more. Perfectly located in the middle of Maine's mid-coast region, a great location for easy day-trips throughout the coast.

Remarkable Place

Amazing views

This property had everything we could possibility need for a great stay. The views were amazing and the scenery did not disappoint. Our entire family loved looking at the photo albums of the transformation of the property from 1989 to present. Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful home with us.

My Favorite

I love New England and have vacationed in all six states but Blue View is my favorite. We were 3 generations and everyone totally enjoyed themselves doing different things.The beauty and serenity of this immaculate home is truly magnificent. Highly recommend and look forward to going back next year.

We experienced our 1st ever Nor'easter Storm.

The house lost power, but we had plenty of flashlights and candles that were available. We absolutely loved the home & location. We travel 3-4 times a year and this was our Best choice. We are from Florida & met up with our daughters boyfriend family for the 1st time. It was very nice to have the 2nd unit. The home had plenty of kitchen equipment. We had enough space for the 9 of use, especially when we were introduced to the proper way of eating Lobster. We had a feast! Our Property Manager & Owner were very responsive with questions and updated us on the power situation. Our favorite day trip was Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor for shopping.

Stunning views

We loved watching the lobster boats, leaping fish, dolphin fins, and gazillion stars from the porch of this house. Peaceful, remote, and relaxing location. Lots of kitchen tools & supplies were a surprise plus - everything you need to make dinners overlooking the water. Memorable and special trip.

Great Family Vacation!

We were met by 3 Bald Eagles upon arrival. Beautiful views of the water and coastline. A quiet place with plenty of room for the kids to play and explore, there was no shortage of wildlife. We saw, Eagles, Deer, Geese, Turkeys, Cormorant's, Seals, and many more. The house was well appointed with everything we needed for a large group. There was nothing we needed that the kitchen didn't have. The large lobster boiler was an added bonus. There were beautiful views from every room and it was nice to sit on the deck and take it all in. Both young and old enjoyed the puzzle room. There were plenty of unexpected games and toys for the kids to discover. Bruce was great to work with and was very responsive to our questions. The whole rental process was easy and flawless including the speed that our damage deposit was returned to us. We can't say enough good things about our week long stay. We look forward to coming back in the years to come.

Absolutely AWESOME

My family ranged from 20yrs to 77yrs and we all had an awesome time. The views are magnificent, the home is so welcoming with everything you need, but my favorite is the peace and seclusion. We bought fresh lobsters , did a little shopping but mostly spent cherished time together. Thank you for a memorable week.

Stunning property ~perfect for a family group!

Blue View is aptly names as the views are so lovely. My husband and I rose just before sunrise each morning and it was spectacular. As we had our coffee (and waited for the little ones to wake up) we watched lobster boats arrive for the days haul, we watched seals pursuing pogies, and were gifted several mornings with an eagle viewing. The house is perfectly set up for a large family. The loft apartment was really great to have for our daughter, her husband and two little girls. We were in the main house which had three roomy bedrooms and two full baths. The kitchen, which is open plan with the dining area and living room, was completely equipped. The owners provided paper goods (paper towels etc) which was a lovely surprise! The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were excellent quality. The cart to move chairs, etc back and forth from the beach was a godsend. We spent the majority of our free time at the beach, playing in the water, searching for hermit crabs and sea glass. Such a remarkable house and grounds that it’s hard to fit it all in. Let’s just say, that once we got there we didn’t need anything else other than food.

CT Family Loved Blue View House Maine 14-21 August 2021

The house is unique and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Room for our annual wiffle ball games and water play. We tried a new sport, night-time 1000-piece puzzle competitions. We completed 6 house puzzles, 2 in one night. We take turns cooking meals and always found needed pots and pans. Your property was used to grow our family memories. We thank you for letting us share our family with your family history for a week.

Beautiful private ocean side relaxation !

Our stay at Blueview was as wonderful as years past. The property and landscaping is extremely well cared for and all the amenities help make our stay very comfortable. The private beach and water view is absolutely amazing.

Absolute perfection!

We just enjoyed a wonderful stay at Blue View with our family. The house very comfortably accommodated 10 of us, ranging from age 3 to age 78. We spent the week swimming, catching striper and mackerel of the dock, playing soccer in the yard, and barely left the house because we had everything we needed! At night we watched the fireflies in the field and even the Strawberry Supermoon. It was pure magic! The house was spotless, perfectly appointed with everything we needed (especially in the kitchen, and the kids were delighted to discover a stash of lincoln logs and blocks). We would love to stay again!!

Amazing time at Blue View

Blue View was absolutely incredible. It reveals itself and the view as you get to the end of the driveway and it never gets old no matter how many times you pull in. The house, the side yard, the fields, the beach, the deck - all of it was truly special.

The perfect vacation

Words can’t describe how amazing this property is. We were looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation away from it all and that is just what we got. The house was beautiful, well-maintained, clean, incredibly well stocked, and had a wonderful energy about it. The property itself was a little piece of heaven. The private beach was fun to explore and we enjoyed watching the seals splash around in the water and the eagles fly overhead. The deck was perfect for coffee in the morning, a book during the day, or drinks after dinner. The areas itself, though we didn’t explore too much as we simply did not want to leave the property, provided everything we needed. Bruce was a wonderful host; very l responsive and accommodating to our needs. What a wonderful trip, we only wish we didn’t have to leave!

The Most gorgeous location

This is the most idyllic location to stay in. The views of waters are amazing and the sunrises are something else. The house itself is so well cared for and stocked. It is a cook's paradise. We enjoyed the waters kayaking and on boards. And cooking lobsters was a lot of fun. We felt we were so lucky to be here and thank the host for being so great and attentive.

Better than the pictures!

What an amazing property... The property is even bigger then it looks in in the pictures! The house is stocked with everything that you could possibly need including a lobster steam pot on a mobile cart that you just pull out of the garage and fire it up. Lobster pound just over a mile from the property. Was very interested in the history of the house and really loved that they had several photo albums documenting the additions and the build of the 300 ft deep water dock. My adult sons spent hours fishing off the dock and on day one caught a 27 1/2 in. Stripped Bass (28" - 35" is the legal limit so back it went) as several smaller ones over the next few days. We all spent hours on the secluded beach wandering and relaxing. Bruce... We can't wait to come back!

Work / Vacation Heaven

We stayed here for a week last year, and had a wonderful time. Given the uncertainty of 2020, we didn’t know if we would be able to vacation here again, but decided to take two weeks and work one of them remotely and vacation during the other. The home was perfect for both—immaculate, strong WiFi, a stunning location and a lovely short walk down to the beach and the private dock. As we said last year, we will be back.

Heaven on Earth!

I spent a long time searching for the perfect place to vacation with my husband, two teen boys, mom, a friend, and our three dogs. I am so glad I didn't settle! Blue View was absolutely perfect! The location, views, and privacy cannot be beat. Our dogs delighted in the freedom they had; we did not have to worry about them bothering anyone, or getting lost. We didn't use a leash for two weeks. One of our dogs absolutely loved the water, and even learned to ride the paddleboard with me! At Bruce's suggestion, we rented kayaks and paddleboards from Ducktrap, and Dan could not have been more accommodating, friendly, and fair. My boys loved having the apartment to themselves, and we loved not having to watch (or hear!) them play computer games! We had some hot days, but the open windows and fans kept us perfectly comfortable. There was plenty of room in the pantry for all our food, and an extra fridge in the garage that we were also able to use. We did bring our own food processor, but when we asked if there was a blender, Bruce arranged for there to be a brand new one available! What was left of Hurricane Isaias blew through, and we were able to park both of our cars in the garage, just in case. We bought eggs from Bruce's groundskeeper, Laurie, and hung out with her horses for a little while as well. Evenings were lovely and cool, and the stars were amazing. It was so quiet. We brought several board games with us and there was plenty of room to play them. For the last twelve days we had no rain- absolutely beautiful weather in the 70's and 80's- and we did make an effort to conserve water, but never had any indication that the well was low. The beach is very clean, and at low tide you can walk along it, though it gets rocky, for a long way. Eagles and osprey flew by, sometimes right past the windows, every day. Most days were great for going out on the water. Everything worked as it should, and putting labels on the many cabinets was a stroke of genius. We loved the pollinator garden, and saw many monarch butterflies and their caterpillars. It was also wonderful to be able to walk the perimeter of the property on the mowed paths. Next to the driveway is a flat, open area where we played frisbee and played fetch with the dog. Everything was just perfect. We hope to be back, and we almost never vacation in the same place twice! Thanks for everything Bruce!

Gorgeous Oceanside home

We loved staying at Blueview! Very private, gorgeous views of the water, private beach , beautiful gardens. Perfect for family stay due to the size of a the house and all the amenities in the house.

Blue View- The Best possible vacation

The property is regally situated and well-cared for. The views, the ocean breeze, the lazy lobster boats in the AM, all very cool and satisfying. The swim in the perfectly cool waters (several times a day) was enjoyed by everyone. A large field is perfect for games (bocce, badmitton, croquet, corn hole). Short rides to Camden, Rockport and of course The Slipway in Thomaston. Don't miss out!

Top Notch

This place is great. All of the furniture and beds are really comfortable. The view is amazing! I’ve rented a lot of vacation homes, this is definitely one of the nicest.
