Luxury Oceanfront Home Overlooking Rockland Harbor and Lighthouse

This beautiful waterfront home offers 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths and is located in the village of Owls Head, Maine (just off Route 73) with amazing ocean views. It is the perfect vacation home for a large family or two families that enjoy traveling together. The home has an open concept living area that is filled with light, and a large deck that spans the full width of the home, overlooking the harbor. The kitchen is fully-equipped with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances.

The home has just been completely renovated in 2016 with brand new furnishings, linens, and kitchenware. The location is perfect for you to enjoy everything that Midcoast Maine has to offer…museums, restaurants, light houses, shopping, hiking, and beaches. It’s just minutes from Rockland’s vibrant downtown and only a few miles from the Knox County Regional Airport.

Imagine waking up in the master suite of this luxurious home, and opening your eyes each morning to breathtaking views of Rockland Harbor from your king-sized bed. The expansive deck overlooks the harbor and is outfitted with a barbeque, outside dining area, and rocking chairs. You can spend the perfect day reading a book, sipping cocktails with friends, or just enjoying the view of the Rockland breakwater and lighthouse. This property provides direct access to the beach below. The home boasts two kayaks for your use, as well as a fire pit complete with Adirondack chairs for an evening gathering of marshmallow roasting and savoring ocean breezes!

The first floor of this lovely home has a family room (with sleeper sofa), two bedrooms each with queen-sized beds, a full bath and direct access to the back yard through sliding glass doors. The second floor has a living room, dining room, kitchen, one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a full bath and the master bedroom. The master boasts an en-suite bath with double vanity sinks, walk in shower, and a king-size bed. The deck can be accessed from the living room or master bedroom.

The home also offers a two-car garage with additional designated parking. We also offer WiFi throughout the house, four smart televisions so you can access your Netflix, Hulu, and other accounts, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.

We arrived at 6 PM to a lovely home and amazing views of the cove and sun setting. Instantly relaxing. The home was spacious and comfortable. Since we only had 2 people staying with us at a time, they had their pick of 3 bedrooms. We had the elegant master suite with walkin closet and gorgeous views sunset, sunrise, cove, moon.

The house was located right on the water on an inlet and we could see the cruise ships out in the water. Very nice home and it was perfect for three or 4 couples with the 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. We would book it again.

The home has an excellent water view in a quiet neighborhood. With 2 bedrooms and a den on lower level and 2 bedrooms and the living areas upstairs, the house was spacious fotr the 7 of us. The deck overlooking the inlet was a bonus!

Overall the house is lovely and has everything you would need for a big group. The location is convenient for the local landmarks and the view from the deck is beautiful. Our group particularly liked being able to use the kayaks in the garage. However, on closer inspection the level of cleanliness isn’t great. The house could do with some TLC and maintenance. It could also really benefit from a deep clean, especially with the level of dust in the corners of rooms and behind beds. Behind the sink taps in the upstairs bathroom was black with mould and it would’ve been very easy to clean. We also had to vacuum the sofa bed before we could use it as it was full of crumbs. All in all we had a good stay, there’s just a few areas that could be improved upon.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property, and we have enjoyed it this time just as much as the last. Great location, wonderful views, very peaceful. Also a very responsive host: our washing machine broke down while we were there and she had it replaced within 24 hours.

Rockland area is beautiful!

Beautiful and convenient location. Loved the deck and searching through the tide pools at low tide. Enough bathrooms and bedrooms for our family of five with dishwasher and laundry facilities. Only negative: Cleanliness left something to be desired. Fingernail clippings on/around bedside table, brown stains on sheets, pubic hair stuck to toilet, beard trimmings around mirror, and ample dust. Could use a thorough cleaning.

Beautiful spot

The house is beautifully situated on Rockland harbor a short kayak away from a beautiful beach. The house was a little dirtier than we would have liked upon checkin with a fair bit of black mold in the upstairs bathroom and on the window and doorframes. Other than that the house is well provisioned and in a great location

Amazing rental

We had an amazing week stay at this house. The only negative part about the trip is that we only rented it for a week, we didn't want to leave. The check in was super easy, and we were encouraged to reach out to the management company if we had any problems, which we didn't. The view is spectacular. If you have not visited Maine before, the tide change is quite extreme and at low tide the cove is empty. The three men/boys that are in our family enjoyed that as they searched for crabs and anything else left behind. The cove was a great place for kayaking, and we brought a few of our own. The neighborhood was super quiet and the property provides full privacy. The house provides all that you will need to entertain large families for meals and relaxation. The time on the deck was relaxing, and we had a back yard fire multiple times. We had 7 people and there was room for more. So glad we picked this house, and it was worth the money for an amazing vacation. There is so much to do in the Rockland area, either land or sea based activities.

Wonderfurl Summer Stay on the Bay in Owls Head

Beautiful home right on a small bay in Owls Head that our families enjoyed. Close to Rockland and several interests there, Breakwater/Owls Head lighthouses, and ferries/boats nearby to head out on the water. The home had some fun games and large gathering places inside and outside. Highly recommend staying here!

Super location

This house has the most amazing views from the deck. We saw beautiful sunrises, rolling fog, and scudding clouds as the tides came in and out. The beds were comfortable. Location is great, close to Rockland, Rockport, Camden, Owls Head and Thomaston. We had great meals at McLoons and Ada’s Kitchen. Hiked at Camden Hills Stare Park, Owl’s Heads Lighthouse, Beech Hill Preserve, and Rockland Breakwater. Only disappointment is the ability to kayak. We did not feel safe using the steps down to the water, never mind trying to carry a kayak down.

Perfect escape

We were looking to get away and relax. This was the perfect vacation for us! The house was very comfortable and clean. We experienced several beautiful sunrises, each one different. We explored Rockland and Camden. Lots of little shops and great restaurants.

Maine experience

Location was as good as described and expected. No complaints other than minor cleanliness that had to do as much with the recent weather (very wet and rainy) and the hurricane that came through on our departure day. Amenities were excellent with nothing that we found needing. We highly recommend anyone considering this property.

Great location

The house was very clean, and essentially as described in the VRBO listing. The main living area is on the second floor, with large sitting and dining areas, complemented by a very spacious deck across the entirety of the water-side of the house. The location on the southern outskirt of Rockland is excellent for quick access to the town's many restaurants, shops and cultural sites, and for day trips in the area. One thing to be aware of if your party has members who have any difficulty walking, is that the main/second floor is up a very steep set of stairs from the front door and garage.

Owls Head rental

The rental was exactly as shown and described on VRBO. It was an extremely clean property, furnished nicely, and the kitchen was well stocked. The view of the water was especially nice at high tide, the deck is quite large too. The only concern was the steps leading down to the water to launch the kayaks was steep and cumbersome. For our age group being older, it was a chore to go up and down the steps with the equipment. However, very pleased with our week long stay !

Celebration of my 75th birthday

Everything was perfect!! Beautiful home and setting. Perfect location. Every amenity available. Plenty of room for all 8 of us to have private space, as well as gathering for meals and leisure activities. Jennifer was absolutely terrific!! I booked months in advance. Great location

This is a great location for short drives to nearby harbors, restaurants, and lighthouses. The view is spectacular and there is plenty of space for birdwatching from the back porch. Definitely a top notch place!!
