Welcome to our warm and welcoming home, originally built by our Grandparents and lovingly updated for today’s modern guests. Located in Stonycreek Township, a quiet and friendly area of Johnstown known for its safe neighborhoods, easy parking, and convenient access to modern retail centers, restaurants, and local attractions.



This charmingly classic family home offers modern comfort in the quiet and convenient Oakland area of Johnstown, just minutes from downtown shopping, restaurants, Johnstown’s airport and hospital.

This cozy home blends classic craftsmanship, comfortable living spaces, and modern amenities like smart locks, WiFi security, and high-speed internet that can easily accommodate up to 10 people steaming at once.



Built in the graceful mid-century era, this home features classic architectural touches and a clean, functional layout that feels both nostalgic and beautifully timeless. The floors and doors are crafted from real mid-century hardwood. The natural grain patterns, warm honey tones, and solid construction adds warmth, character, and the kind of craftsmanship that’s hard to find in newer homes. We’ve chosen modern artwork that brings peaceful comfort to the classic architecture and sturdiness of this home, featuring soft earth tones, nature-inspired pieces, and gentle landscapes that naturally encourage the body to relax. Guests often tell us the home feels peaceful the moment they walk in because of the tranquil and welcoming atmosphere. NOTE: An optional waterless diffuser with 100% natural Himalayan cedarwood essential oil is provided for guests who enjoy a light fragrance. It will be turned off when you arrive. Feel free to use it if you like, or simply leave it off or move it to the basement area if you are sensitive to scents.



You’ll have the entire home to yourself, including two spacious upstairs bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, multiple lounging areas, private workspaces, a bright dining room, and a clean basement laundry room with a bonus game/activity space. There’s also a comfortable sofa-bed option for sleeping downstairs, as well as access to full bathrooms on each main floor. The furniture is designed to accommodate people of all shapes and sizes and high weight capacities.

* For everyone's safety and peace of mind, the property is equipped with exterior security cameras that monitor the outside entrances and parking areas. There are no cameras inside the home. The cameras help us maintain a secure environment for guests, protect the property, and assist in resolving any unexpected issues that may arise during one’s stay.



Living Room:



* A cozy and spacious gathering space with large wall-mounted smart TV with a coffee table that converts into a table for a work-station and/or family games

* Comfortable sofa that converts to a sofa-bed with Flex-Steel design (Flex-Steel uses a solid platform system instead of open coils and bars). The queen-sized mattress performs more like a standard bed than a traditional sofa-bed. The ottoman in the living room stores the linens and comforter for the queen sofa-bed. This space is intentionally designed to accommodate guests who would like a sleeping option without needing to use the stairs. Note: There are two privacy curtains for the living room doorways that can be easily added when sleeping downstairs. They are located in the grey ottoman.

Located in a friendly residential neighborhood, the home also includes a large front yard, cozy covered porches, and a spacious driveway that can accommodate up to three vehicles. Look for the red lamp outside and the red front door when you arrive. This home offers the quiet solitude of residential living while also providing quick access within minutes to everything you need: groceries, restaurants, retail, outdoor attractions, airport, and historic sites, all within a short 5-10 minute drive (public transit is also available.) Longer scenic drives through the Laurel Highlands offers some of Pennsylvania’s most stunning landscapes with rolling mountains, forested trails, waterfalls, and renowned attractions such as Frank Lloyd Wright’s “Fallingwater” home, the Jimmy Stewart Museum, and the Great Allegheny Passage. It’s an ideal destination for guests seeking beautiful scenery and outdoor exploration. Also, the Flight 93 Memorial is an easy and beautiful 30 minute drive from the home. The route takes you through the serene rolling hills and quiet farmland of Somerset County.



House Rules



To help us maintain a peaceful and well-cared-for space for all guests:



This is a no pet, no smoking, and no party home. Only registered guests listed on the reservation are permitted to stay overnight.



Guests have full access to the home during their stay. However, please note that attached and detached garages are not accessible.



We kindly ask that you respect these guidelines. Failure to do so may result in your stay being terminated without refund.



Early check-in is often possible upon request. Please reach out to us prior to your arrival date so we can check availability with our cleaning schedule.



Other Things to Note:



There are 4 steps leading to the main entrances from outside and stairs connecting the basement to the main floor and the upstairs. The home is not entirely childproofed, so please plan accordingly. However, baby gates for the stairs are available upon request.
