Retiring to the seaside resort town of Sooke was a dream come true. My day starts with coffee from Vosino then a morning walk with my dog on Whiffin Spit. Minutes away from restaurants for breakfast including Mom’s, The Cafe at Sooke Harbour House, Bears Bakery, Cathy’s Corner, Tim Horton’s and McDonald’s. Sooke is an oceanfront village with all the convenience of a large town and whale watching tours, fishing charters. Please stay cautious while driving through our neighborhoods which have an abundance of wildlife like bears, cougars, and especially deer with their fawns. Of course the ocean is home to otters, seals, water fowl and whales which can be spotted from the shore.
Evergreen Plaza has Western Foods, Shopper’s Drug Mart, BC Liquor Store. Village Foods has a large delicatessen selling prepared meals and bakery. Local government marina has boat launches and local fishermen sell fish and seafood from their boats.
Local gyms, alternative medical services, esthetic services, banks, pharmacies and restaurants are minutes drive away.
