The two full bathrooms feature marble tile and heated floors. The European style kitchen features sub-zero freezer/refrigerator drawers, dual dishwasher drawers and induction cooking.

The Rail Trail is across from your front door leads you on a leisurely stroll into town to enjoy the fine restaurants and local shopping.

The Space:
Modern renovated space in a 1700's colonial in Joppa Park area. Self-check in with keyless entry.

The Neighborhood:
Newburyport's South End is filled with antique homes, views of the water, several parks, and is walking distance to downtown & Waterfront park events. The rail trail which leads to the Commuter Rail to downtown Boston is steps away.

Getting Around:
Walkable into town for shipping and dining. Walkable commuter rail to Boston. Off street parking and free street parking.

We are available by phone/text for any questions. We also have local cleaning & maintenance support if any needs arise during your stay.

Great location as we enjoyed taking walks along Joppa Flats which was right across the street! Our little dog enjoyed our walks as well. Beds very comfortable and home was very clean!

Yankee Homecoming

Cute condo right on the water. Perfect for two couples. We enjoyed walking to town. Great restaurants close by. Host was easy to communicate with. I’d recommend this rental to friends.

Great stay in a great location!

The house was nice and spacious, dog friendly. The front bedroom looks out to the water. The bathrooms are renovated with heated floors - so nice especially during the coldest week of the season! The location is perfect for walking in warmer weather. Steve and Kristen were great hosts - responsive and helpful. We hope to visit again soon!

Just perfect. Felt like home

Couldn’t have had a better experience. The house is in the best location. Walking distance to all the restaurants and D’Town. Just across the street from the rail trail walking path, Joppa Park. Perfect area for dogs. House is just perfect size. Absolutely Amazing.

Cute, clean, updated house in a great location!

We loved the house. It was perfect for our family of four. The house was very clean and provided a lot of amenities. The location was spectacular! We enjoyed walking the trail at Joppa Park, and it was easy to walk into town to shop, grab dinner, and enjoy live music. Newburyport is close to a lot of fun day trips, as well!

Great location

Positives: Great location - walking path to town right outside the front door. Top end appliances. Very clean. Easy to work with property manager. Negatives: Not enough living room space and somewhat noisy, but we where aware of these issues so we were not disappointed.

Perfect place - perfect spot

Rental was cozy and comfortable. It was clean and decor was simple and tasteful. We had a couple of questions and communication with owner was easy. Location was perfect - beautiful sunrise while drinking our morning coffee. Rental was equipped with everything we needed. Fast internet. Smart tv was perfect for end of day relaxing.

Location, Location, Location

We rented this apartment for a month while our home was under construction. The location can not be beat as its directly across from the water, walking trail and close to all the restaurants and shops. The apartment layout though a bit odd, gave us plenty of space to work, relax and settle in to a routine for the month. All the kitchen , bath and laundry amenities were modern and new. Having a dedicated parking space was a plus as was the ability to have our dog with us. Our host Steve couldn't have been nicer and was responsive to any and all questions. Thanks Steve! Liz & Jack

Lovely house, great location

Everything as promised - half a mile from the downtown area, and across the street from the river walkway, which was a perfect place to enjoy a coffee in nice weather. The house had a nice decor, comfortable beds, and good showers. We were very satisfied customers!

Awesome Location

This was such a great property - it's the bottom floor of a house right across from the river, with direct access to the Rail Trail (walking trail throughout Newburyport). Super cool place - great space for 3 people (2 adults, one kid). We were able to walk the entire time - downtown, to one of the local boat clubs for a boat ride, to my parents house, and to all the local shops and restaurants. We'd definitely stay here again (my parents live in Newburyport, but would happily stay here). Super cool kitchen as well!

Excellent location

Can't beat the location of this property. Bathrooms updated and heated marble floors a plus. Floorplan is a bit strange, but nothing we couldn't make work.

Great location and spacious property

Lots of room for our family of 4 to spread out and can’t beat the location - right across from the water and short walk to lots of restaurants and shops in downtown Newburyport. Everything was nice and clean, self checkin was super easy and owner is very responsive. Had a great time!

Amazing property and hosts!

If you are looking for a beautiful spot in Newburyport with views of the water and easy access to Joppa Park and the Rail Trail- this is it! The hosts are incredibly responsive and the 2 BR 2 BA unit is spectacular! Highly recommend!!!

Luxury and Location!

We spent two nights in this beautiful updated home in March 2021. Everything was perfect - from the comfortable beds; luxurious showers; heated bathroom floors to the brand new updated kitchen. Steve was so on top of things and always checking up on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Great location; walking distance to town and a short 25 min drive to New Hampshire and Maine. Highly recommend.

Great stay at stunning location

Lovely home across from the water. Kitchen and bathrooms are beautifully renovated with high-end appliances. The beds were comfy, albeit fairly firm. Remember to bring your own soap and shampoo.

Steve & Kristen live in Newburyport and also have a home in Palmetto FL. They have rented the larger unit on VRBO since 2015 and are making the new space available for rent this year.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Steve & Kristen have restored the two units in their 300 year old home, originally built in 1720 by a Cooper. The property became a candy store in the early 20th century and then a liquor store by midcentury until the 1980's. Newburyport was a very different place then, with the bums passing out on the seawall after buying liquor from bottle returns. The liquor store was converted to a therapeutic massage studio and then in 2020 was converted back to a residential space. Steve & Kristen designed and updated the space into this very livable 2/2 layout with high end finishes.
