Welcome to the Flat at Flathead. A brand new upstairs flat, with views of Flathead Lake, walking distance to Flathead Brewery, and the town of Bigfork with its quaint shops and restaurants. Nestled between Flathead Lake, Bigfork Bay and Flathead River, take advantage of fishing, kayaking, boating, hiking and sunbathing. Enjoy a play at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse. Located next to beautiful 18 hole Eagle Bend Golf Course, in part designed with Jack Nicklaus). It is located 45 miles to Glacier Park or 45 minutes to Whitefish. Sleeps 2 (can sleep 4 with the cozy pullout sofa).

Heavenly retreat!

Beautiful, clean, cozy slice of heaven in desirable location. Close proximity for walks to Bigfork shops and restaurants, or hiking/biking and exploring nearby trails and lakes. The owners are incredibly kind and a great source of information. Love the Flat at Flathead Lake!

Spotless, beautiful location, comfortable bed, towels, and Great Donkey!

We loved the very occasional braying of the neighbor donkey! We have the nicest accommodations of anyone in our group. Not large, but very tastefully, artistically appointed. Peace-inducing. Very calming. We will certainly recommend to others.

The perfect place to stay

This place is a beautiful, super cute, brand new build put and couldn’t have been more perfect in location, amenities, host communication and cleanliness. It has lots of great extra features and touches and is a beautiful place to stay. The hosts were very responsive and helped in all the needed ways. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough!!

Fantastic Spot

What a wonderful experience, this apartment/flat is beyond what you’d expect in a VRBO. Everything and anything you’d need is supplied. The host family are very friendly and we were hand delivered fresh zucchini bread out of the oven. If you’re headed to the Bigfork area I highly recommend this as your next rental.

First let me say the host were awesome, any questions or needs they were there quickly and very gracious. They were generous with fresh eggs and some elk meat. The apartment was everything we needed for our stay. The thing that was a little surprising to us was their home and yard space was beautiful and manicured but their space is not the space you use. The outdoor table area included where you parked your vehicles and they parked their extra vehicles and all other yard equipment and sport toys. You did have a pleasant view from the kitchen window but your other views were of their garden area and chicken house area, from the other widows your view was a dry lot for their neighbors horse and donkey. Overall our visit was good.

Flathead Lake Weekend

The property was very clean, tastefully decorated with plenty of space for us. It was very close to the center of of Big Fork, but was private with with a nice partial view of the lake, open fields with many deer and some livestock for us to view from the big picture window in the kitchen. Host was very gracious and even left a bowl of fresh picked local cherries for us to enjoy.

The accommodation were great, Nice and clean! We got in late, like 1 in the morning. The place was easy to find, light left on and simple to get in. We loved that there was coffee and cream already there in the morning.

Absolutely Beautiful!

One of the best VRBO properties that we have ever had the privilege to stay. This property is not only immaculate, but well appointed and equipped with everything you could possible need. Tanya is definitely a premier host. She went over and above, making everything so easy. We strongly recommend this property and look forward to another stay in the future!

Great Flat close to BigFork Montana

We really enjoyed our stay at this very nice flat in a beautiful area close to Bigfork. It was exceptionally clean - a really great place to call home for a week. The flat has its own private outdoor patio seating area and entrance. There is lots of natural light from all the large windows, and the views are lovely - we enjoyed checking to see what antics the horse & donkey were up to at the neighboring property, and how the hens were doing, as well as watching the eagles play in the sky above the lake. The bed and the furniture are all very comfortable. The hosts were very nice and non-instrusive and even offered us some fresh eggs from their hens. The area where they live is lovely for riding bikes and for walking into the town of Bigfork. A truly nice place to return to after a day out! Thanks Tanya & Pete for creating such a lovely home.

First time visit to Big Fork, MT

My husband and I drove for 12 hours from SW Washington get to our destination in Big Fork, MT. We were tired. Tanya, our host, prepared us, a few days before, with clear and easy instructions with how to let ourselves in to the spacious lodging. We found it clean and so refreshing ! There was even a glass pitcher of fresh water with sliced orange in the refrigerator ready to serve a thirsty guest. The whole arrangement is well thought out and organized with anything we might need or want. The place is close by the lake and the local town with grocery store which made it easy to pick up items we needed to cook some meals while staying. The bed is absolutely, by far, the most comfortable bed we’ve slept in. We noticed how quiet inside it is. We highly recommend staying here! The hosts are amazing, thoughtful and attentive!

Excellent property in Bigfork

Located next to Bigfork. Property was an open plan place on 2nd level (heads up, no elevator but a bench at entrance door to set large luggage which we did.) Bedroom has sliding barn doors and the pull out sofa bed was queen size 4” tempurpedic type of mattress. Kitchen is modern and well stocked with everything you would need. Has stove, refrigerator, microwave and sink. Loved the open floor plan with kitchen and living room area. Owners were excellent, hospitable, good communicators and thought of everything! They generously shared Flathead cherries and their fresh farm eggs with us! The stacked laundry machines are tucked in corner of bathroom without compromising the space. Has TV in living room but not in bedroom. Games provided to play. Everything was clean and newly remodeled. Only minor suggestions would be a shade in kitchen and a disposal on sink but these are extremely minor items, does not take away from this outstanding property. Extremely comfortable for 2, 3 and up to 4 if 2 shared sofa bed, no problem. Close to grocery store and a Liquor Barn. Close to Woods Bay marina and Flathead Lake Wayfaires Park and downtown Big Fork. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

My 1st time to Montana

This will be my home away from home every time I visit the Bigfork area. The property was perfect for me and a friend. We actually looked forward to ending our long days relaxing on the private patio and watching the deer stroll into the yard. Clean, perfectly decorated, and stocked with everything you need to make it a home away from home. Thank you Tanya and Pete for sharing your flat rental with us. Perfect, absolutely perfect!

Bigfork gem

A lovely private place to stay in Bigfork. Loved the chicken coop that matched the house and the donkey & horse in the adjacent lot. Spent an afternoon in Glacier & enjoyed shopping in Bigfork which was decorated for Christmas. Would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely perfect!

We had a fabulous stay at The Flat. Every detail has been thought of and Tanya & Pete are gracious hosts. The view did not disappoint and we loved the feeling of the outdoors coming in. We are already planning our trip for next year! This property was everything we hoped for and more!
