The host supplied all the information we needed to arrive and feel right at home. There was even a cheese board waiting. Lovely, well-maintained home surrounded by a fence and garden that added to a sense of peace and relaxation.

Lavender house is a lovely home perfectly located for visiting Point Reyes! Owners were very easy to work with and very prompt in responding to questions. Would definitely stay there again! Also, loved the backyard and hot tub!

A perfect place for a family weekend getaway. Great for a family, even ours with two small kids, especially with the high chair, pack-n-play, kid dishes, and no breakables within toddler reach. The beds and bedding were comfortable; our son opted to sleep on the sofa bed and that was even really comfortable. I appreciated the shades and blackout curtains. Everything was spotless. Loved being able to walk two blocks to the main street. Typically, on our travels we spend little time at our lodging as we want to explore, but we made extra time to stay here ā€” to have breakfast and dinner on the outdoor patio, relax in the hot tub under the stars, and lounge on the sofa bed and watch a movie. Weā€™re already thinking about our next visit.

We spent two nights at Lavender cottage and highly recommend this lovely cozy place. Everything has been designed for your comfort, from the fragrant garden when you enter to the roomy seating areas inside and out and plenty of towels and flip-flops for a trip to the hot tub.

Eileen and Martinā€™s cottage is absolutely beautiful with artistic touches everywhere. Completely clean and perfectly comfortable in every way. The VRBO photos are accurate, but in person, the cottage is even nicer. We are so lucky to have been able to rent this lovely home. Many thanks!

The Lavender House was such a beautiful property and easy place to stay in Point Reyes station. Everything in town was within walking distance. The property was clean and immaculate, we really enjoyed eating together in the dining room and lounging in the backyard. Weā€™d love to stay here again the next time weā€™re in the area.

Great house, great location

The location in Point Reyes Station is perfectly situated for visiting all parts of Point Reyes National Seaside and exploring the coast to the north and south. It is just a block away from the small downtown. Far enough to be quiet but just a few minutes walk to grab a coffee or dinner. The kitchen is well equipped. We cooked several meals during or week stay. The yard is covered with beautiful flowers and was frequently visited by hummingbirds. The hot tub is a great way to relax after a day of hiking or kayaking. The host communication was excellent and the binder of instructions was clear and complete.

What a jewel!

We had great communication with the owner. I vetted the property up front with her before booking.How refreshing to find full sets of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and bakeware that were in great condition.The interior was delightful and tasteful. Comfortable bed and linens. And plenty of common area to enjoy. It was so clean!Although in town, the quiet of PRS prevailed. Easy walking to stores and the wonderful preserve.The backyard amenities were quality and tasteful.I would book again.

Another Perfect Visit To The Cottage

Lavender Cottage has been our lodging of choice for many years and many stays. Eileen and Martin keep the cottage exceptionally clean, the kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. The backyard has a hot tub that is a favorite with our family, there is a big table to have outdoor meals in the summertime, and a gas grill that is always read to use. We love that Lavender Cottage is always quiet and peaceful but also walking distance to town. We like to walk in for groceries at Palace Market , pastries at Bovine, music at the Dance Palace, books at Point Reyes Books and great coffee at Tobyā€™s. Point Reyes Station is just a couple of blocks long but it has a lot to offer. There is a great little hiking trail (around the barn) just 5 minutes from the house and many, many other hiking trails just a short drive from the cottage. We are always grateful to Eileen and Martin for welcoming us to what feels like our home away from home.

Perfect location!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Lavender House. It is a beautiful house with a lovely front garden and a perfect backyard with a hot tub nestled right below some jasmine- doesnā€™t get much better than that. The house is a block away from the adorable town and easy drives to Pt Reyes National Seashore.

Point Reyes Birding Festival Stat

We stayed at the Lavender House during the Point Reyes Birding Festival. Itā€™s conveniently located near town yet very quiet and private. The house is spotless and filled with tasteful comfortable furniture. The kitchen has absolutely everything from coffee making supplies to outdoor serving ware. Both bedrooms have waffle weave cotton robes and slippers. Highly recommend.

Amazing cottage!

The two bedroom cottage is beautifully kept and large with two living spaces and a dining room. Every detail in the house is carefully thought out. Loved the backyard with flowers and well maintained hot tub. Terrific location walking distance to restaurants. Very responsive host. Would love to return.
