Our very private Maui Cottage, a honeymoon haven, has a spectacular setting overlooking a peaceful jungle gorge, 100's of acres of verdant, pristine Maui countryside, ocean, coastline, and world famous Ho'okipa Bay. Sometimes you will hear the soothing sound of the waterfall and stream in the jungle gorge below the cottage.
Everything is 1st Class! Charming and spacious.

Cottage's beautiful, comfortable tropical decor, skylights, rich, warm stained glass lamps, real wood floors, indoor tropical plants, high architectural open-beam ceilings and gentle breezes create a light, airy ambiance. This private, exceptional Maui vacation rental has a Sony Flat Screen TV, DVD, CD Stereo, iPod docking station, 2 phones, voice mail, and complimentary High Speed, Wireless Internet access.

Guests love our luxurious, deep soaking tub for 2. No chemicals or second-hand water. Just fill it up for each soak. It is a private, intimate relaxing experience. It will be love at 1st soak!

Guests also enjoy our 2 private, side by side hot/cold outdoor showers in the warm Maui sun or under the stars at night.
A drenching rain shower head and an adjustable hand held for your together enjoyment. Truly memorable.

New, king-size, luxurious, super comfortable bed with 100% quality cotton linens will lull you to sleep each night after your Maui activities.

The bathroom features granite counter top vanity, maple cabinets, skylight, including hairdryer, make-up mirror and designer soaps. Luxuriate in the newly tiled walk-in shower with a deluxe invigorating shower head and hand held shower. All are kept sparkling clean.

There is a large front loading washer and dryer at the cottage, so no need to pack as much.

Hank’s place is my favorite over all of the places we have stayed on Maui…he was a wonderful host and would recommend the cottage to any couple or single travelor

We were arriving very late in the night and Hank messaged us that if there was anything we needed when we arrived to call him and he would help us. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and was clean, private and welcoming and a great place to relax.

This cottage in up country Haiku is perfect! Lovely grounds landscaped with tropical flowers and fruit trees surround this property. Wonderfully appointed kitchen has everything you need to dine in. Super comfy king bed. Our host, Hank, generously provided fresh oranges and bananas whenever we asked. Quaint Haiku and Makawao towns near by for groceries and fun shopping. The awesome surf break Ho’okipa is just a 10 min drive down the road. Truly a gem on Maui’s north shore. Thank you Hank!

We had the most amazing time here! The cottage was beautiful and very secluded. The bed was very comfortable, and the home was very well stocked. Hank was a wonderful host, even dropping off a fresh avocado from the property. We enjoyed the Lenai that surrounded the home, with coffee each morning. We already want to come back! This secluded and private cottage is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Me and my wife came here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. From the outside bath and outside shower to the gorgeous interior of the cottage is was amazing. Definitely will be coming back. Thank you Hank!

Paradise in Haiku

Just returned from 10 days at Hanks cottage in Haiku.The place is so well appointed. Comfy king bed, nice furnishings, all you need in a kitchen and nice bathroom.A deck that wraps around the house, with a view over the trees out to the ocean. The place is surround with trees, hedges and flowering shrubs. Total privacy! Great retreat after a busy day. Hank was a great host!

Quiet and beautiful - enjoyable stay

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and beautiful house. The entire process was smooth, and the house is well furnished. We’ve come to really enjoy the Haiku area It’s rural enough for quiet but within 15 minutes to Kahului and several small towns, and quite handy for day trips to Hana or Haleakalā. If you want an escape from the tourist areas of Maui, this is a wonderful option.

Beautiful and Well Equipped Guest House

The guest house is a wonderful traditional design, and its private location is surrounded with tropical landscaping and a view of the hills and ocean. Casual yet luxurious comfortable furnishings, and well supplied for beach trips. Hank is a great host. Aloha.

I live in Haiku on Magical Maui. I'm on the verdant, lush, gorgeous North Shore...not in the crowded tourist areas. I've lived in the islands over 40 years and 25 of them on Maui. I love Haiku because it feels like country, yet we are only 5-10 minutes away to great restaurants, art gallerias and boutique shopping. All properties around are a minimum of 2 acres so there is seclusion and privacy. I love to garden and enjoy all of the tropical plants that have been planted and lovingly cared for. Guests enjoy the exotic, tropical plantings with vibrant flowers everywhere. Some call it a tropical oasis. There is also a huge organic veggie garden that I love to share with guests, along with all kinds of citrus fruits and bananas. Guests come from all over the world and enjoy the relaxing ambiance that the property provides. I look forward to meeting you sometime too.

Cottage guests love Haiku. They love the seclusion and privacy. Many guests have stayed at the high end hotels and condos and prefer the cottage because it is so comfortable and located on a spectacular piece of Maui real estate. We are in the country, but only a 5-10 minute ride to great restaurants, art galleries and boutique shopping and the beach.

Hookipa Bayview Cottage is located on one of Maui's best pieces of real estate. The view is unbelievably, spectacular. You see west Maui mountains, ocean, coastline and sometimes Molokai.
And of course, Hookipa Bay, world famous windsurfing beach.
Another unique part of the view is that you see no other houses on Maui. It is truly a very special, unique setting.
