This lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath plantation style home is located in the heart of Haiku. It has an open floor plan, vaulted ceilings and windows all around. You will enjoy lots of light and views of the lush garden, pool and spa. With high quality beds, a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ, pool and spa, Hale Haiku offers a truly relaxing and comfortable stay for your family. Located on the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on a ½ acre lot in a tranquil residential neighborhood, Hale Haiku offers an open architectural design and many windows bringing the feeling of nature indoors. Relax and entertain around the salt water pool, with Pebble tech beach-entry, water feature, and spa. The half acre property is planted with beautiful heliconia and ginger tropical flowers, plus banana, orange, lemon, lime, papaya, and ulu fruit trees. Plenty of mature palms including coconut, areca, pygmy date and foxtail palms surround the yard. This neighborhood is only 2 minutes away from the Haiku Marketplace, 7 minutes to Ho'okipa beach park, 10 minutes from Makawao and Paia, and just 20 minutes to the airport.

Beautiful house with paradise garden

Beautiful house in a perfect location for a stay on this side of the island, communicative and friendly owner, the house is fully equipped, the pool and garden are the icing on the cake. Very quiet location, we didn't hear anyone during our entire stay. We would definitely love to come back.

Great stay even in the rainy season!

We had a wonderful stay with family at Erich's property. Check-in was a breeze and the property is beautiful. It was close to some family we were visiting so the perfect location, and even though we were there during heavy rain, we still had a blast and used the hot tub every day! I would recommend this property to families. It is a bit of a drive to the more calm side of the island with the more family-friendly beaches, so something to consider.

Tropical oasis in Haiku

The pool is amazing. It is huge and we were thankful to have the spa too! Location is great and the property has a beautifully landscaped yard with lots of privacy. We have never stayed on this part of the island, but in the future would be happy to stay in Haiku again. It is close to many restaurants and unreal food trucks :)

Great House

We had a great stay at Erich's place in Haiku. The location was great low-key spot to spend the first half of our trip to Maui. The property is well maintained and has a pool with a shallow end perfect for my 2 yr old and 11 month old to wade in. There is also a spacious deck with comfortable furniture. We would definitely visit Erich's place again!

Perfect stay in paradise

We loved our stay! The house is comfortable and well stocked with kitchen and beach gear. The pool was a delightful 77 degrees even in January and the hot tub was perfect. We had excellent communication from our hosts. During our stay, we had a question about the pool and our hosts had someone over to look at it in an hour. They truly made it a perfect birthday celebration. We can’t wait to come stay again.

Pool and hot tub were great only thing did not know before arriving there was quite time, you couldn’t be in the pool before 8:00 am or after 9:00 pm. But we still enjoyed it. House was great, had everything that it said it had. It was a family vacation grandparents, son, daughter-in-law, two grandsons 10 and 18.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. The house was very spacious, comfortable and clean. While there’s no AC, the cross breeze was delightful and provided natural cooling. The backyard is gorgeous and the pool was especially a highlight - our toddler loved splashing in the shallow end. And we loved the more remote location where you feel enveloped in a more authentic Hawai’i. But more than anything, the hosts were incredibly communicative and accommodating. Our flight was cancelled due to a huge storm affecting the state and they were so kind and understanding - ensuring we were looked after until we could get home. You will not be disappointed staying here.

This was a well-appointed home with a gorgeous backyard and pool area. All the comforts of home.

Our family enjoyed staying in this very comfortable home in the quiet neighborhood of Haiku. The backyard and pool/spa are spectacular. It felt like home in many ways. Very easy and breezy. Nice to be away from the busy resort areas yet only be 45 min. away to basically all of the popular beaches/towns. No surprises and all was as expected. The kitchen and bathrooms are a tad outdated but all was clean and operational. The generous amount of beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, coolers and boogie boards added so much to our experience. Highly recommend this cozy space in an area that helps you experience more of how the locals live. Thanks to the owners who made the stay seamless. -Jason, Kim, Reed & Brennan

First VRBO, First time in Hawaii, First Family Vacation...Feb 2020

The property was excellent for our family of 6 adults. We stayed 9 days and there was still enough space to take a break from each other. (haha) From the very first communication with Nina & Enrich my mind was put at ease for going with a VRBO. I had read horror stories. I had a 1,000 questions and they answered every one of them. They were quick to respond to me and supplied so much information on the area around the home. I would say they are top notch hosts. After the long flights and late arrival I have to say check in was a breeze. Having the extra keys helped so we could go our on ways and not be locked out. The hot tub was used daily, sometimes twice a day, the stars were an amazing view at night while sitting in the hot tub. On our last night, while we were all in the hot tub, my son proposed to his girlfriend. What a memory made at this VRBO! The home was clean and roomy. The kitchen was stocked with cooking items and plenty of dishes. There was an outdoor BBQ grill, small cooler, beach gear, washer and dryer, the list goes on. Everything was exactly as advertised. We had a few rain days during our stay but that didn't stop us from going on adventures in the area. The home was a good central location to return to every night. The home also had books and games for rainy days. Located in a quiet neighborhood with an amazing backyard setting, makes it an unique quiet spot ~ I would highly recommend this VRBO.

Amazing Haiku pool and property!

We had a great stay at this property, and the pool and hot tub alone are worth everything. The shallow beach style entry on the pool was so great for our 3 year old. Haiku is super mellow but also close to Paia and Baldwin beach park (baby beach on west end is great!). Our favorite Maui beach (Olowalu) was an easy drive. Nina and Erich have so much great beach and snorkeling equipment to share, probably the most we’ve had access to on any island. They were super responsive during check in and very helpful all around. this is one of our favorite spots on Maui!

North shore paradise!

We had an amazing stay at Hale Haiku. The backyard is wonderful with the salt water pool/hot tub, tropical landscaping and wrap around lanai. Our family of 5 had plenty of room inside the spacious house. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Also appreciated the ample supply of beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella. The architecture is very nice and the house is furnished very tastefully. The location of Haiku allowed us to live like locals. Haiku has great food trucks, a large market and decent restaurants. Paia is only 15 minutes away. It was a great base to do all our activities from.

Hidden gem in Haiku

Super happy with our rental experience. The house was clean, roomy and exactly as advertised. The pool/spa were wonderful and the house was fully stocked with everything you might need. The owners were incredibly gracious and friendly and quick to respond to any questions asked. The house sits on a quiet cul de sac, the area was safe and the neighbors were friendly. We loved the privacy of the house and it's location. We will definitely return. Mahalo nui loa!

Fantastic visit for family with small kids

The house and yard are beautiful and perfect for small kids. The house also had wonderful beach toys for the family. I would love to stay there again. Check in was a breeze and everything in the house was in great working order.
