We stayed here for one night while attending a show at Louisville Palace. We really enjoyed the stay. The house has been designed and decorated well. Itā€™s fun to look at decor that is a nod back to KY history especially Louisville! Everything was clean, well kept and high tech. Thank you for the making our trip awesome!

We loved our stay at Hummingbird! The house had everything we needed and was in a safe neighborhood. We loved the thoughtful decor of the house. It was located near everything we wanted to do. Communication from the host was spot on. We hope to come back for another stay soon.

Our family enjoyed many years living in this historic neighborhood. I couldnā€™t believe this cottage was available in VRBO. First, this secluded neighborhood is beautiful 365 days a year. Wildlife, deer and massive trees add to the charm of this property. Matthew has restored this lovely cottage to an efficient and comfortable space. Whether sitting on the porches or walking the neighborhood, The Hummingbirdā€™s interior is well thought out and plenty of space for everyone. Excellent communication and clear instructions!Matthew, please let me know if youā€™d ever like to sell!!!!!!!

Peaceful family getaway

We were in the Louisville area for a family memorial and this location was wonderful. It was a great place to relax before and after the event. The entire family (5) enjoyed their stay. The owner/manager was very responsive with questions and easy to communicate with. Very peaceful and private location. Thanks!

Peaceful, beautiful

We stayed in the area for the Bourbon & Beyond music festival and found ā€œHummingbirdā€ for our stay. The home is welcoming, clean, comfy and has every amenity you would need and want! Matthew was easy to reach and everything was perfect! We would highly recommend his house to anyone! Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood

This was the perfect place for us. Beautiful yard that our children could go out and play in. Quiet back road that we could go for a walk on. The fireflies in the evening (and other wildlife) along with the enormous trees that had to be at least 100 to 200 yrs old made this property seem like we were in a dream land. We visited a playground with a splash pad that was nearby and our children enjoyed that. We also visited Churchill Downs and watched some horse racing because our daughter is a huge horse fan. The Kentucky Derby Museum is located at this race track as well. The train tracks throughout the countryside were so neat to see. Our son enjoyed the trains. And this house isn't too far from the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. It was nice to see how Noah and his sons would have built the Ark way back during the Old Testament times and the science there is to back up God's Creation. We really enjoyed this house. The beds were super comfortable and the owner was very kind. I would definitely recommend this home to other people wanting to visit Kentucky.

Tranquil, quiet setting minutes from great restaurants, entertainment, the interstate and downtown Louisville. The house was nicely appointed with many little extras not listed. The beds were comfortable and plenty of space for guests. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook a nice dinner or just fix a cup of tea. Communications with the hosts were seamless with quick responses. Didnā€™t have children at this listing, but if you have children, thereā€™s plenty of space for them to run around outside in the front and back yard with no worries of traffic.

Home away from home

I've stayed at this property probably 6 times now. I will always come back when I am in town for work. I love that the location is close to downtown but also feels miles away in the countryside. Its a beautiful area, close to so many attractions, and the hosts are fantastic. The master bed is the best nights sleep! Cant wait to be back again!

Third stay here

I've been staying at this property for my work trips and I have to say, it has become my home away from home in Louisville. The property is beautiful, cozy, and close to so many attractions. I also get the best nights sleep every time I stay - the master bed is a 10/10!
