Escape to our cozy, newly renovated cottage on the peaceful shores of Starvation Lake. With breathtaking views year-round, this inviting retreat is perfect for families, friends, or a group getaway. Whether you're here for a summer lakeside adventure, autumn’s vibrant colors, hitting the slopes or enjoying a thrilling snowmobile ride on ATV trails, we have everything your need for your choice of adventure!

Property Highlights:
Prime Location - Snowmobile directly from the property with Blue Bear Trailhead right at the end of our driveway! Plus, world-class ski resorts just a short drive away.
Convenience - Bar & grill next door, general store, and gas station just one block away – easy access to all essentials.

The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests with three bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 Full bed and dresser

Plus, there’s one full bath for your convenience.

Step out the door and enjoy direct access to the crystal-clear, spring-fed lake. Whether you're swimming, kayaking (2 kayaks provided), or simply soaking in the scenic beauty, the water is just steps away. In the summer, enjoy warm lake days; in fall, marvel at the foliage; and in winter, take in the serene white snow landscape.

This is the first we have rented alsomething and everything was perfect. Usually there's problems with the plumbing or something along that line. It was wonderful to stay somewhere without any issues. Place was clean and well kept up! The view of the lake was beautiful. Bar and grill and store literally 2 minutes away. Couldn't be more convenient.

We were blessed with over 2 feet of snow for our stay, which created a winter wonderland. The home is close to trails for hiking, a lake out the back door, and a restaurant a couple steps over. The home was updated, clean, and dig friendly (which we love). We had an amazing weekend getaway in a perfect size cute cabin for our family of 4 plus our pup.

Always a favorite for us. The convenience of the atv trails right across the road. The restaurant an easy walk away. Direct access to the lake. We love the coziness the cabin brings. It truly is our fall favorite getaway!

Great Snowmobile stay with friends

We had an excellent stay at this location. Four of us slept comfortably. The cabin had everything we needed with a great view of the lake. The bar is within walking distance with great food and the trailhead is literally across the street.

Fall Break Getaway

Always a favorite spot for our family. This is our 4th year coming for our fall break. Love the convenience of the trails. How close the lake is and the kayak/paddle boat options. It’s a cozy cottage!

Great time

We planned a last minute riding trip to Michigan and this place had great accommodations and a perfect location. We were able to ride both north and south trails. We will definitely stay in this area again. The fall foliage was perfection. Our only complaint would be that the mattresses were very uncomfortable.

Lazy Get Away

We spent our days at the cottage soaking in the Michigan air and fishing right out of your back door. My husband and I really enjoyed the kayaks. The crystal clear water is a must see. The property was very clean. The paddle boat didn’t work properly, it appear the o side had water inside but again the kayaks was GREAT.. I would love to return again with my family and rent both properties. We plan to come back.

Cute cottage

Really loved the atmosphere on starvation lake! We were a little disappointed that the listing had a hot tub listed, there is not one present. It’s also right next to the public boat launch for the lake so early morning fishers are kind of noisy in the morning but we were up already anyway. Super cute convince store less than a 2 minute walk away. Would stay again!

This property is truly a prime destination that offers endless outdoor activities in all seasons of Michigan. You won't want to leave!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The cottage is close enough to make day trips to places under 1.5 hrs. such as Torch Lake, Traverse City, Petoskey, Boyne Mountain, Mackinaw City just to name a few. It doesn't get any better! However, if you just want to enjoy our lake, you can enjoy the popular Hideaway Bar literally at the end of the driveway, where you can enjoy great food, outdoor cocktails, dancing and karaoke and don't forget to stop in and say hello to our friendly store owners of the Starvation Lake General store for some ice cream and anything you forgot at home.
Starvation Lake has access to the most snowmobile / ORV trails in the lower peninsula. The trail head starts across the street and you can take the trail all the way to the Mackinaw Bridge! These trails are a ORV mecca for Northern Michigan. Ice Fishing is a great winter experience to take advantage of too during you winter stays. Take advantage of the convenience. The store located steps away where you can fuel up for your adventures, purchase ORV licenses, fishing licenses, and live bait.
