Lake Bellaire Log Cabin

My apologies on the error in the amenities section regarding a hot tub. There is no hot tub, and there never has been one. I am not sure how that appeared as I have not adjusted that section of the property profile in years, but the error has been corrected. Thank you for the feedback on towels. We recognize that can be a challenge for guests, but unfortunately the property is not set up for laundry facilities.

Great times, enjoyable able stays and fond memories are the norm! As the description reads it is a 1950s authentic log cabin. While we have taken great care to update and modernize items, it is still a 1950s log cabin. That being said, replacements for the original windows, (single pane 1950s era) were actually ordered last January (2022), however with supply chain issues there is still a delay. I am confident for next summer they will be installed, which will help with the elements which are at the heart of this guests stay. There is also a new roof steel roof planned with an insulating base, along with a few cosmetic upgrades. With these intended upgrades we are hopeful the cabin can have a better comand of Mothers Natures elements. As shared by this guest I responded as quickly as possible to any request made and also refunded them some money for the minor inconveniences. I encourage would be guests to please read the property description thoroughly to avoid any misconceptions regarding the property, and to reach out to me with any and all concerns before booking. I am always happy to make sure would be guests fully understand the nature of the property and its contents. Unfortunatley there is little I can help with regarding the heat. Receiveing a message after one night the guest wishes to depart and wants to know what I will do about a refund due to the heat does not make for a good stay for either of us. For this particular guest our proerty was not the right fit, and that is ok. The last two guest following Terri very much enjoyed their stay and the cabin and were very appreicative of the property. Only a few light bulps were replaced in between Terri and the next two guests. I am confident our cabin and the access to the beautiful lakes of Bellaire, Torch and Elk from this one location, as well as the scenic surrounding area of Norhten Michigan is a great and affordable place for families to enjoy. It may not be the right place for all as in Terri's case, but for the majority of guests it has traditionally been a great and enjoyable place to vacation!

I am sorry you did not prefer the beds. My thought is you are referring to the log style bunk bed that was damaged just prior to your stay. The top bunk was taken down before your arrival as the top could not be used. It will be fully repaired before next season. I am not sure what the concern in the bathroom was? We have never had anyone express dissatisfaction with the bathroom in the 10 years we have owed the property, but thank you for your comment and I will let the cleaning personnel know.
