In over all we were pleased with everything on the property. Clean,lots of room even my two dogs have so much fun. Lovely place.

Came to Big bear to do some four wheeling and this house was perfect for our 3 couple group.

Kitchen fully equipped. Bathrooms and bedrooms clean. Basketball court in perfect condition. Older home but well kept. Smart TVs. Our family definitely enjoyed our stay.

This place is a great stay for a group with multiple families. The 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were ideal for us 6 staying there for a wedding. The place has a fantastic open floor plan downstairs for the living room, kitchen and dining area. My husband and cousin loved the pickleball court. There were some ants in the kitchen from the heat, but the owner had put out bait traps and told me about replacing them with new ones he had in the cupboard. It did help. I did think there was going to be central air conditioning so I was a tad disappointed that there wasn’t, but I get being up in the mountains and not needing it. There was a water cooler unit that did help cool off the place enough for us. Overall this place is a fantastic find, very comfortable, a great stay overall, and was located 5 mins from the wedding venue at Shay Meadows Ranch, The owner is great at communicating and is very generous! I would highly recommend snagging this place for a nice weekend in the mountains.

Thank you, Erin, for staying with us and for the kind feedback about your overall experience—we’re truly glad you enjoyed the home. Regarding the air conditioning: The portable A/C unit that was correctly reinstalled after your departure ended up working very well. For clarity, this is a true air conditioner (not a water cooler, which would require a permanent water connection). A second high-powered Toshiba portable unit was available in the downstairs bedroom closet. I wish the concern about the first unit had been raised during the stay—I would have been happy to walk you through the proper setup right away. After your departure I placed the second unit in the downstairs family room and was able to bring the temperature down to 62°F on an 85°F day, confirming both units work effectively. I also noticed the heater had been left on downstairs, which would have offset some of the cooling. In the mountains the temperature naturally dropped to a comfortable 72°F by 7:30 p.m., and between the two portable units the home stays very pleasant even though the building itself (like many in the area) does not have central A/C. We appreciate you choosing our place and hope you’ll consider us again.

Great Size Family Home

Had a wonderful long weekend here with our family of 6. Very spacious, great shower pressure, comfortable beds, quiet area, and great big backyard. Definitely a great place to stay.

The entire house was fully equipped with cooking utensils, spices, sugar, coffee, filters, trash bags, toilet paper, extra blankets and bedding. Full washer/dryer hook up. Both inside and outside fireplace, and a gas grill.

We stayed at this cabin in early January, and it was a wonderful experience overall. The home is very spacious, cozy, and clean, and the photos truly don’t do it justice. We chose this spot to celebrate both my birthday and my dog’s 14th birthday, and it ended up being a very special trip for us.We did run into a couple of small snags during our stay, but Frank was an excellent host and addressed everything promptly and professionally, which we really appreciated. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were well maintained, and the yard was huge- perfect for families traveling with dogs.One suggestion for the host would be to provide a guest manual in the home, as that would make navigating the space and amenities even easier for future guests.Overall, I’m very grateful for the time we spent here. It was especially meaningful, as it turned out to be my dog’s last vacation with us before he passed. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway for you and your family (pups included), I would highly recommend staying at this home.

Big Bear with Ray Ray 2024

The pictures don't do justice to the size of this property. It's easily able to sleep multiple couples with ensuite bathrooms. And then two extra rooms for kids or other adults. Originally there were to be four adults but one had to cancel at the last minute. The downstairs bathroom was awesome for my handicap sister. The stairs are quite a workout, but worth the trip upstairs. The decor is quite eclectic. Almost like somebody gathered stuff when they went traveling throughout Europe. The host had put up a lovely Christmas tree. For my birthday we invited our whole family over and the great open space was perfect for nine additional guests. It was also awesome to have a fenced in yard to be able to let our dog out to go to the bathroom. We received the wrong check-in code, but the cleaner was standing by and let us in immediately. She asked us to let her know if we needed anything. It's obvious that the owner is continuing to improve the space. Check in in case you need to bring washcloths, dishcloths, dish towels. We cooked multiple meals and it was perfect including deviled eggs and baking cornbread. Both of the master suite beds were very comfy.
