My husband and I rented this unit hoping to enjoy a few peaceful days by the ocean with our two small dogs. Unfortunately, our experience fell short, and we checked out after the first night. Our biggest concern was the bed. The mattress felt old and lacked adequate support, despite my asking about this before our stay. My husband has had back surgery, so a supportive mattress was especially important. It was too uncomfortable for us to stay. The unit is very small—closer in size to a hotel room—and is located beside an ice machine and near an elevator. The frequent noise from guests using both prompted our dogs to bark, making it difficult to relax.Although there is a balcony, it offers only a limited, angled view of the ocean. The air-conditioning unit outside was loud enough to drown out the sound of the waves. The balcony also faces another building, where barking dogs and people playing audio on their phones without headphones added to the noise. The interior felt dated, with visible wear on the furniture, doors, and cabinets. Kitchenware was limited; for example, there was only one bowl suitable for serving salad. The closet was filled with cleaning supplies, leaving little room for our belongings.Based on the condition, amenities, and overall comfort, I would not describe this as a luxury unit. It did not provide the quiet, comfortable ocean getaway we had hoped for.
