What a gorgeous property! The hosts were gracious and generous and the house was beyond lovely.So much room and privacy.We baked, hot tubbed, swam, watched stars and fall foliage and enjoyed every minute.Cannot wait to come back!

What a great historical cabin on the river. The house was amazing, recently updated with an incredible kitchen area. We held a corporate event and the space was perfect with plenty of space. Our host was very nice and the communication was always very prompt.

Christina was an amazing host! She was accommodating, communicative, and welcoming to the needs of our group. The island, outdoor space, and cabin are GORGEOUS. The primary bedroom has stellar views of the Mississippi River. The other cabin bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, and the connected 'guest house' area is unique and fun. The open kitchen, and other gathering spaces make a perfect gathering space for hosting groups of any size.

Great spot!

This place exceeded my expectations! Pictures don't do it justice. The views of the river are incredible. The cabin itself is spacious and attractively furnished. We especially appreciated the comfortable beds, coffee station and fireplace. Christina was a terrific host and very responsive when we had questions. We're already talking about coming back in the summer to use the pool and canoe! The island would be stunning in any season!

Wonderful Mississippi River Hideaway

Gorgeous 15 acres of wooded lands with access to Mississippi River with stunning scenic views. House was spacious and dining and kitchen areas were fantastic for our group of 16. Christina was committed to helping us enjoy our Memorial Day weekend and created a scavenger hunt for our adult children. She was phenomenal. Kayaks, canoes, corn hole, horse shoes, with added balls, fishing poles (live bait!) and added resources was superb. Driveway was large enough to hold our pickleball tourney (we brought our net, paddles and balls). We had a great time and our kids want another family reunion here in 5 years.

I fell in love again with the Mississippi River! from Grey Cloud Island!

I have rented a lot of homes all across the country and by far this home met all of our needs and was our favorite rental. The enormous windows provided incredible views of the River that will take your breath away. The home had something for everyone. (Hiking, biking, finishing or just watching the sun set). My family and I were most impressed with the graciousness of the host and hostess. Christina the hostess created a personal scavenger hunt for the kiddos. She also left personal notes and a goodie basket for my daughter who graduated high school. We were just in awe of how those gestures made us feel. This house is truly amazing. I am a Southern girl who knows all about the Mississippi River and its power. This home and it’s proximity to the River had me wanting more of its peaceful waves! We have already decided that we will return next year. Book now! Best decision you will ever make. Thank you Christina and Ted.....The Mack Family

Stunning retreat on the river

This property is absolutely amazing - with a stunning view of the Mississippi River. We held a wedding here, and set up the ceremony on the northern point of the lawn - it was so beautiful. The accommodations were wonderful - sleeping space for lots of people in large, private bedrooms. plus the two-level bunkroom. Huge kitchen, living room, and dining room, but perhaps the real gem here is the outdoor space - a very large patio with ample outdoor furniture, a lovely pool and lots of pool toys, and a hot tub to book! A few people in our party took the kayaks out for a spin on the river. The huge house was very clean, and everything we could have needed was included. Christina the owner was so helpful as we planned our trip, and provided so many lovely touches and treats to make our stay even more enjoyable. I cannot say enough good things about this property - it was a piece of heaven for our family wedding, and four day stay!

Majestic estate on the Mississippi River

This vacation home is a gem that truly has it all. A great large home surrounded by trees and grass overlooking the Mississippi River. The countryside setting is only 20-30 minutes away from downtown. Great master suite overlooking the river with an additional 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main floor. The top floor has another 3 bedrooms with a separate kitchen and bathroom. Several family rooms and endless outdoor space. A full in-ground pool and a dock on the river. We spent a week at the property and could not get enough. We hope to return soon. The host was very gracious and helpful. We were able to get Uber eats and Instacart for everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place.

Summertime at Grey Island

We had three generations of family enjoying this very well-maintained and stocked home. The owners were very responsive. We played games and enjoyed the pool and hot tub, walked down to the dock, and sat outside and enjoyed nature. It was fun to see the barges float past on the Mississippi too! A very nice vacation!

Minnesota Island Retreat

Our family really enjoyed spending time together on Grey Cloud island. The amenities, the views, and our hostess were exceptional. We would highly recommend this property and plan to return.

If you are able to do this, DO IT! Lovely property and amazing owners!

We have a blended family of four adult children who have never spent a night with all of them under one roof with us. Since most of them are out of state, it was such a gift to be able to house them and feed them like they grew up that way. The greatest part was that they each had their own bedroom to retreat to for downtime. My husband has very limited mobility, due to a progressive neurological disease called MSA with Parkinsonism. Although he is not wheelchair bound yet, he does require a rollator and manual wheelchair combo. We appreciated the main house being one level so we could help him maneuver throughout and take strolls outside. We did well with much assistance from the kids, as he is still able to transfer with help. Seemingly, this would not work for a wheelbound person, as some of the doorways are narrow and the beds are high from the floor. Speaking of the beds...all six of us felt like we were on cloud nine in our beds! Beautifully done with plush comforters that cradle you into la la land. The hostess, Christina, was most awesome in her communications straight from the start. I feel like I got to know her so well over the three weeks of our preparations - I would certainly like to call this gem of a lady my friend. And her husband, Ted, came out at 10:30 one night to bring us a power strip for my husband's medical equipment. They are amazing...I just can't say enough! We will always cherish the family memories that were made there...the kids absolutely loved it and were so thankful for the time away in a beautiful place together. We took many family pictures and we will forever remember the island as our happy place. We will forever cherish our family time filled with love, laughter and joy!

An amazing getaway on the banks of the Mississippi!

We hosted a Bachelorette Party at this property, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the house and the grounds! Plenty of privacy, beautiful views of the Mississippi River and wildlife (we saw eagles fly over every day!), an amazing patio and pool area, and lots of space in the house for us to gather, play games, and eat together! Christina was a wonderful host, very responsive before, during, and after our stay! I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to host a small party, family reunion, or even just a quiet getaway!

Amazing property and location!

We had a ladies weekend with 16 ladies and hands-down, was 100% perfection! The property is beautiful with so many amenities and Christina added so many personal touches to welcome us for our weekend. We all felt beyond lucky to be able to enjoy this property for the weekend!

Extended family reunion

You will never find a more ideal rental for a large family gathering than this. It is a breathtakingly beautiful spot, secluded but 15 minutes from amenities; exceptionally designed, large home with space for everyone to go to their corners when needed; incredibly thoughtfully and well-provisioned, and the owner is just so kind and easy to work with. This was worth every penny.

Everyone in our family loved our stay. There was so much to do. No one wanted to leave..

Fantastic property. We could see you are making even more improvements. Your property was close enough for us to visit. St. Paul and the Mall of America. Convenient to stores for groceries. We all loved watching the Eagles , deer, and activity on the river.
