Cozy Cottage at Rye Beach

An adorable modern cottage in the historic Rye Beach neighborhood with lake access will be perfect for your next getaway! Ideal for families for up to 4 adults maximum and 2 children. Just minutes from Cedar Point, Sports Force Park Center, and the full Lake Erie Shores & Islands experience, guests will enjoy the comfy bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen with seating for 6, two smart TVs, deck with propane grill, and backyard with wood burning fire pit. House rental gives guests access to the neighborhood waterfront park on Lake Erie (5 minute walk) with playground, picnic tables, and small swimming beach. Free wifi allows those working "from home" the option to keep up from the bedroom desk or while curled up on the couch. Stay awhile and keep up with the laundry by utilizing the full washer and dryer. ONLY 4 adults maximum. Ideal for up to 4 adults and 2 children as 2 beds are twin bunks.

The House:
Inside, the cottage has 3 bedrooms: A main bedroom with queen bed, a 2nd bedroom also with a queen bed, and a 3rd bedroom with a twin over twin bunk bed.
There are 2 parking spaces. NO EXTRA VEHICLES.
Full Bath with tub/shower combo with towels for each guest and hand towels

2 parking spaces in driveway - Please note that there is NO ADDITIONAL PARKING available on the street or in the neighborhood. We can accommodate 2 vehicles only.
Propane grill, deck and fire pit with seating on the back deck and backyard

*** Please be aware, from about mid-May through June and potentially into July, mayflies will be in the shoreline towns and neighborhoods of Lake Erie. This is just part of the local charm! ;) Mayflies are COMPLETELY harmless, and are a big reason for the great fishing available in the Great Lake. To keep mayflies out of the house, keep exterior lights off, and don’t leave doors and windows open longer than needed.

Great spot!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage at Rye beach! The property is just as pictured and was very clean. We were very happy with the kitchen amenities especially as we ate in for most of our meals. Property is very close to stores/restaurants. We enjoyed taking walks along the lake. Amy responded quickly to our questions. We will definitely rent this property again in the future!

Perfect getaway

Three friends and I stayed the weekend and loved it. First, the house was clean and provided us with a little bit of anything you might need. The neighborhood was extremely quite and a 5 min walk from Rye Beach. Nickle plate beach is only a 9 min drive as well. There are a few small stores around but there is a Walmart and Kroger within 15 min of the house. The Mexican restaurant at the end of the street was pretty good too! We loved our stay and would definitely book again!!

Perfect Cottage

Our family of 6 stayed at this lovely cottage for a baseball tournament. It was clean and had 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom. 1 bedroom has bunk beds. If you like to fish there is a pier and a swimming area at Rye Park 1 block away. Fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer and pretty much anything you need for a stay away from home. It is 10 minutes from Sports Force park and about 15 from Cedar Point. We would stay here again.

Quiet, cozy cottage

This is exactly what we were looking for! A cozy, relaxing, quiet spot with convenience to Kalahari for a weekend event. The house was so inviting and nicely decorated and organized! The hosts were very attentive and provided us with all the necessities to make our stay comfortable. The kids loved the complimentary snacks and selection of puzzles and games to play. It is nice to have the private beach and playground close by, although the weather was cold and snowy and we didn't stay outside long! Thanks Josh and Amy for a perfect getaway weekend spot! We would love to stay again someday and we will definitely reccommend your home to others we may know traveling to the Sandusky area :)

Great 6 days!

We thoroughly enjoyed the house and it was everything we could have imagined from the ad. It was very well equipped with all the dishes and related equipment for meals and the beds were very comfortable However, the outside of the house was not in line with the inside and we did not use the BBQ or eat outside because of the condition of the space-it needs a "tidy up". Then we had rain come through the ceiling in the living room just over the white table between two chairs. during a rain storm.

It was wonderful. We were up there to go to Cedar Point. Got there Friday night, cottage was everything it was described as. Enjoyed a walk to Rye Beach Park, and a fire with smores in the back yard. Ten minutes to C.P. Cottage was easy check in, easy exit!

Perfect spot for Cedar Point weekend.

Booked the cottage for a weekend at Cedar point. Only about 10 minutes to the gate, very easy to get in and out of. Perfect for our family. Kids liked having their own rooms! Super cute place.

Cosy Cottage is exactly that. A cosy restful place to stay.

Cosy Cottage is very well laid out, beautifully kept with everything we needed for a restful stay by Lake Erie. With a fire pit, BBQ and just a few minutes from a quiet swimming beach it was the perfect place to explore the shores of Lake Erie and visit Cedar Point. Amy was really helpful with suggestions for eating and places to visit. We would recommend this place highly.

Great Mini-Vacation Before School Starts!!!

We had the best time at the cottage! It was so cute and clean, and just enough space for me, my husband, my parents who were visiting from Arizona for the first time in almost 2 years, and our 5 and 6 year olds. We walked to Rye Beach to play in the water and on the playground multiple times a day. We enjoyed making s’mores in the fire pit, and grilling dinner on the grill. Also, I should add that the beds are so SO comfortable! Thanks for a great weekend!

Relaxing retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish it would’ve been longer. The place was very clean, so cute, had everything we needed and more! They left us some snacks and a bottle of rose <3 we ventured up to put-in-bay for a day, enjoyed costa azul Mexican restaurant, and explored down at rye beach with the kids. We could easily have spent a week here doing all that the area has to offer, hopefully we can another time! We’d definitely stay again. Thanks!!

Great stay!

Wonderful updated house that is super close to everything. The owners were great hosts! They provided lots suggestions on local places to visit and the house had everything you would ever need. We had a wonderful stay catching up with family and would definitely stay again next time we are in the area visiting.
