Nate's Micro-Community on The Strand Will Welcome You

Nathan Dorn and his loyal band of faithfuls will greet you with warm, friendly smiles when you stay in one of the quaint cottages or apartments Lands End offers right on the Pacific Ocean beach. People are the real comfort factor here at Lands End. Everyone is so helpful and neighborly! Many of these people stay here the same days every year and have become 'regulars' in the diverse crew of scallawags and pirates on the good ship Lands End. Creature comforts are basic but the fun, flavor, and friendly atmosphere are luxurious! Book a week, if you can...we got lucky and had a ball!

Awesome Stay

The location couldn't be more close to the ocean. We loved having our windows open to hear the waves. Sadly, Oceanside has stopped bringing in sand to fill the beaches so you had to walk down a ways to be in the sand. We made it work though. Everything was in working order. New sheets for the bed & futon would be nice. I loved having beach towels & all the toys/chairs provided. Letting our dogs come was a huge bonus! The owner was present & very friendly! We would return in a heartbeat!

What a pleasant surprise!!!!

My sister, daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights. I couldn't get over how clean and well maintained our cottage (unit 16) was kept. It was so nice to go to sleep listening to the waves break and the ocean breeze. (The bed was super comfortable.) I sat out front every morning having my coffee as the sun came up. What a relaxing vacation. Nate was so easy to work with and there were no issues checking in or out of the unit. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Lands End is the perfect location for a beach getaway ...the bonus is a quaint, well maintained, well supplied place to stay...management on site...garage parking included...laundry room...only steps away from the ocean...we had an awesome stay here

Was really nice , clean & quaint, the manager Nathan was wonderful, when we needed the stove to turn on, he had a repair guy in minutes & was fixed . Only thing was the traffic going in front of the house was not relaxing but nothing can be done about that . Very close walking distances to the pier which had a Ruby’s diner & other nice places to eat within a short walk !nice area around the house ! Everyone was friendly !

Paradise! Just book it, and don't worry.

Perfect location, wonderful staff, & clean, well appointed rooms. The circuit breaker did trip on the first day which wasn't an issue but was immediately fixed by the staff which showed their attentiveness. Will definitely stay again. The included garage is just big enough to fit a full-sized SUV (Suburban) by just inches and if you are willing to try, otherwise street parking is included and a 1 minute walk behind property.

Great Vacation!!

I loved every minute of our stay at Lands End! Nate was so easy to work with and always helpful. He answered all my questions and was eager to make our stay perfect! We started off in room 11 which was a tad tight for 3 adults and a child. It was a great room, don’t get me wrong. Luckily, Nate was able to move us to room 15 which gave us more space. I loved the patio, as did my daughter who made friends with most of the neighbors, and the chairs over looking the strand right in front of our room. The beach was so close! Listening to the waves as I drifted to sleep each night was the best! The kitchen had most everything we needed for the stay. Our room did have a crockpot but we most always travel with one for easy dinners. My suggestion for the kitchen would be pot holders. My only suggestion to make this place even better would be a fire pit for the patio. Those chilly nights would be a little warmer. I can’t say enough great things about Lands End! I cannot wait to be back!

Home away from home!

Loved our vacation on the Strand. Once again, Nate made us feel right at home. Our room was perfect! Cleaned from top to bottom. Everything you can imagine from the soft bed sheets to the plush bath towels! Kitchen completely stocked for our perfect week. Thank You for once again making my vacation perfect!!

So cool! You are right on the beach!!!

I absolutely LOVED this condo. You are literally right on the boardwalk and 2 steps from the sand. At night, you can hear the ocean waves crashing and it is so peaceful with the windows open. There are a few chairs to sit in outside and watch sunset as well. I liked that it has a lot of windows so as you are in the condo you have amazing views of the ocean! I've stayed in 2 other condos at this exact location and this was my favorite condo! They also have a huge patio to sit for your morning coffee or drink at sunset. It has a couple picnic tables and a BBQ as well. I've stayed in a lot of places all over San Diego and Lands End in Oceanside is BY FAR the best! You are walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants which makes the vacation that much better to leave your car parked in your private garage and relax. Oceanside is dog friendly too, so you can walk your pup right out your door and onto the boardwalk! Nate and the whole staff are awesome and extremely accommodating. When you pull in, you are greeted with a welcome sign with your name and garage space on it. They have boogie boards, beach chairs, towels and anything else you need for an amazing vacation! I absolutely LOVE this place and will only stay here when I head to San Diego! Thanks for everything Lands End!

We loved it here!

We had an amazing time. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and being right in front of the beach. Kitchen was fully equipped to cook, they had beach toys and boogie boards, and more. We would definitely want to come back. Can’t beat the price either.

It's a qu ain't place..very clean..great community deck..abt 15 ft from the beach. The sunet was incredible and we could hear the crashing waves at night. Cozy..good kitchen. This was our 2nd trip. Fun place crashed

Lands end is our favorite place to go!!

Our room was perfect with ocean views and the sand only a few steps away from our front door. Great place to bring the kids and enjoy the beach. Five stars every time we visit

Great Place to Stay

Just spent the last 5 days at this place and must say it was great. Unit 16 had a front row view of everything going on around us. The unit itself is not as modern as some but very clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing. I don't usually expect to sleep well when away but the bed was wonderful. I love that we could sit and enjoy the beach life from right in front of our unit or on the fabulous community deck. Parking was a problem for us at first because our truck didn't fit but Nathan was very accommodating. As a matter of fact, all communication with Nathan was excellent. He always responded quickly to my many questions, from the moment I booked last fall to the parking issue. It's a very friendly atmosphere and we'll kept place. We'll definitely be back.
