Sit back and relax on the large screened porch and watch the sunset over the water. This renovated island home offers beautiful water views from most rooms, including the master bedroom. Launch your kayak or canoe across the street, walk to town and the fireman's carnival, and best of all, bring your dog!.

THIS HOME DOES NOT PROVIDED LINENS OR TOWELS. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN OR CALL US TO RENT THEM.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

The house is situated in a lovely spot. The maintenance is shoddy. We arrived late at night and immediately stepped in dog waste on the path.The kitchen closets were in a shambles--pots, pans, etc just shoved in. Everything needed to be washed before using. There was ample evience of infestation, with mouse droppings and chewed condiment packages in drawers. The property manager was quite defensive when I pointed this out on leaving (the dogs must have been from a neighbor, the property was inspected, I should have called, etc.) We arrived very late at night and I didn't want to spend a part of our few days arguing with a management company.The choice to not include a starter pack of toilet paper and paper towels is disappointing and discourages guests from leaving potentially useful items behind (foil, trash bags, etc). I think guests would be more generous if there was a stock of useful items to start with.We stayed in the same house last Thanksgiving without the mouse infestation issue. I'm not sure what has happened since? Maybe a new owner (the house was for sale last year)

This was our second time staying at Miss Agnes with our dogs. We love the charming old house especially the screened front porch. The sunset views can not be beat! The fenced back yard is great for the dogs and the neighborhood is very walkable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to the island for 30 years. Each time staying different places as our family grows. This house is definitely a favorite. Clean, comfortable and it provides so many small amenities. Fishing poles, crabbing gear, toys, books and games. The fenced in yard was perfect for our small dog. We spent most of our family time on the beautiful front porch. We will be back to this house again!

Miss Agnes Adventure

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was too old (100 years). Prefer more modern property. Not senior friendly. Grass was not cut on our arrival. every floor was not level and squeaked. .Would not rent again.

Best House on the Island

Lots of space so you're not crowded. Kitchen well stocked. Highly recommended for families. The bay is right across the street so it's just breathtaking.

Miss Agnes is our go to place to stay in Chincoteague

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second year at Miss Agnes and we loved it even more. The owner fenced in the back yard and that is a great asset for anyone staying there with their dog. The staff at Harbour Rentals is great to work with. We always let them know any little tweaks needed and they are right on them. The front screened porch is our favorite place to view the gorgeous sunsets. The ponies come right down Main Street in front of the house and we have the perfect seats to enjoy them and the Saltwater Cowboys. This year I took my video of the ponies from the front bedroom upstairs and that way I got to view the foals and ponies over the Cowboys! We are really looking forward to returning next year for the 100th anniversary of the pony swim!

Really Great Vacation

Sitting on the front porch every evening was a great experience, especially for our two year grand son. Our dog was very happy and comfortable in the house. The sunsets were spectacular. The beds for the most part were comfortable. Really we all had a great time and enjoyed our time at Miss Agnes and with our visit to Chincoteague.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is full of charm having been constructed over 100 years ago. It has nice updates like appliances, AC. The front porch is screened in which is a necessity in Chincoteague and has phenomenal sunsets over the water. Only disappointment - AC does not reach back 2 bedrooms effectively so in the heat & humidity of the summer - bring fans.

Very Pleasant Stay

The property was well-kept and had everything we needed. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. It was very convenient to have a fenced in backyard for pets. We would definitely stay again!

There was only 2 in the party so we had more then enough room. We are considering maybe Thanksgiving I'm Ms. Agness. Very happy with Harbour rentals. I had a small issue and by the end of the day it was resolved.

Thanksgiving Holiday stay

Our family had a nice getaway for the Thanksgiving holiday week. The house we stayed in was wonderful, historical, and has beautiful water views. Each evening, we watched the sunsets on the water from the front porch. The location was perfect!

Smelly on South Main

We choose Miss Agnes because of the location on South Main. Down past the hotels, it offers the possibility of beautiful sunsets each evening. The weather wasn’t on our side this trip😟. The house is pet friendly, although we didn’t have any pets with us on this trip. The very old rugs on the first floor ( 2 in the kitchen and one in living room) were very urine stained and smelled horribly. You could see the stains on the carpets and the smell was hard to ignore. We couldn’t eat at the kitchen table because it was so offensive. I contacted Harbour Rentals and they said they would notify the owner, but did nothing to help our stay. Between the poor weather and the closed up smelly house, we left the island early very disappointed. We have rented yearly at least once a season for close to 20 years. Harbour rentals and Miss Agnes is one to avoid at all costs unless you have pets and can’t smell! Very disappointing!

The view from every room, but especially, the front, screened in porch is awesome!

Clean, comfortable with all the conveniences, including a dishwasher, washer/dryer and central air. We truly enjoyed our stay. All the appliancies are new. I didn’t read the description carefully so didn’t know I was supposed to bring my own sheets and towels! Oops! Not a problem- sent hubby to buy a set at the Wallmart in Pocomoke. My suggestions would be to replace the mattresses on the queen beds with some that are a bit less hard, put black-out curtains on the front, upstairs bedroom windows (Chincoteague streetlights work very well! lol) and remove the rug from the kitchen-which is hard to vacuum. A couple of small scatter rugs, in front of the sink and the stove, would work better. These are very minor issues as we truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The view alone is well worth it.

Loved Miss Agnes Vacation Pony Penning Week 2023

Reviewer Comments: After spending our vacations across the street from Miss Agnes for five years, we were pleasantly surprised to find this house was right across the street from our former rental. We absolutely loved its charm, the leaning floor in the kitchen, the elegant staircase, the beautiful etched glass door going into the parlor, the short wall on the front yard by the sidewalk where we could sit to watch the ponies come down Main Street, the nice grass yard for our dog and the wonderful neighbors. I love old homes and she didn't disappoint us. Harbour Rentals was very attentive to reports of some needed repairs. We liked the house and location so much, we immediately rebooked it for next year. Being able to see the gorgeous sunsets from the front screened porch and watching the boats return from the swim to see the ponies coming down Main Street was a plus. The dining area was quaint with the woodstove on the hearth and the bow window. The kitchen was well supplied including a vintage microwave. The refrigerator/freezer held an ample amount of food and beverages. I'd have to say the screened front porch was our favorite spot to relax. We love Chincoteague and are ecstatic that we found the perfect place to go (after Covid kept us away for two years). Looking forward to next July - wishing it was sooner than later.

The house is Quaint & charming. Views from front porch, amazing. House can use a deep cleaning and freshening. Musty smell gave us a soar throat. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

Great location !

We had a very nice stay! Property was clean and the location was great. The screened in porch across from the bay was the best part. The property could use some overall maintenance, but it was good over all. Dishwasher was broken, which was annoying, but I would definitely recommend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always, when renting from Harbour Rentals, our property was wonderful and the rental process so very easy. The view from Miss Agnes is beautiful. We were there for the spring roundup and were able to see the ponies on Friday plus eat out at several of the restaurants during our stay. Chincoteague restaurants have THE BEST seafood around. If you want to rent a property in Chincoteague, go to Harbour Rentals!
