Stunning 4 Season Lake Burntside Log Cabin

Welcome to our Lake Burntside 4 Season retreat. This newer hand scribed 1,700 square foot log cabin on 2 acres of property and 200’ of frontage on the pristine waters of Lake Burntside is only 9 miles from Ely town ctr and minutes to the boundary waters canoe area.

The open plan cabin has a master bedroom and full bathroom on the main level as well as a loft with full bath, sleeping up to 8 in beds. It has a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, great views and large patio overlooking the lake as well as a new barrel sauna down by the water and dock.

In the summer, use our canoe or keep your boat on the dock as you enjoy fishing, watersports, canoeing and endless water activity on the +7,000 acre Lake Burntside known for its crystal clear waters as well as it’s fishery of Lake Trout, Whitefish, Walleye, Northern, perch and pan fish . For winter, the home is well insulated with heated floors so take advantage of abundant cross country and snowmobile trails (snowmobile trail passes right by property on lake) or enjoy snowshoeing, ice fishing, dogsledding, or just relaxing with hot cocoa or wine in front of the fire. Enjoy fall colors by taking a hike on one of the many trails within minutes of the cabin.

Lovely cabin home with beautiful views. Perfectly peaceful. We enjoyed stargazing, fishing off the dock, campfire by the lake and lots of nearby hiking. Good communication with owners. All the amenities for a pleasant stay. Can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful property and great stay overall! Very clean, well maintained and good communication. Fireplace inside was nice and loved the sauna by the lake. As others have said, a little steep navigating down to the lake but not too bad overall. We have one child in a wheelchair and didn’t make the attempt out of caution but otherwise no issues. Enjoyed having puzzles and games to keep us busy with downtime. Would suggest a little brighter bulbs in the dining room as it was difficult to see the puzzle later in the day. All in all, a really great experience in a beautiful location on the lake. Thank you!

Fabulous stay! They had great beds and endless blankets! Great dock for fishing our having a pontoon/boat rental. Sauna was awesome!Main level had a full bathroom and queen size bed bedroom. Upstairs had a king with 2 kids beds and a cot bed, again with plenty of blankets and sheets!It was so peaceful couldn’t really see the neighbors and it was just amazing to see how dark the sky can get into seeing all the stars.Perfect stay for a family!

Fishing getaway

The cabin was a beautiful place to stay during our yearly fishing trip. The views were spectacular from both the cabin and dock. The surrounding area was quiet, aside from the sounds of nature. Regular sighting of the red fox population was a treat! All in all, a great vacation spot.

Fantastic view of the lake. One of the best kept properties I have ever stayed in.

We had a great stay at this cabin. It is a jewel in the woods. Caught a 42 in. northern off the dock.

Perfecto

A super clean and super comfortable log cabin ( itself a work of craftsmanship) with all the amenities. Comfortable seating and beds, Great lake views from inside and down by the lake and quite private. It is hands down the best stocked place ever including sharp knives(!!!), scissors, paper, pens, tape, power strip were extra bonus items we seldom see. The lake was quiet in this pre-season time except for lovely loon calls.

Winter wonderland

Ideal location for a family get-a-way in the woods and on a frozen winter wonderland. Home was spacious and warm. We enjoyed the fireplace and views through the many large windows and doors. Plenty of sleeping spaces, 2 full bathrooms and large kitchen stocked with everything you'd need. Owners and caretakers always available if needed. The home was a perfect place for our family as we enjoyed this location in the north woods in the Ely area.

Great winter vacation!

We stayed here in February and caught the back half of winterfest. We loved the view and made a little ice rink down below. Only issue is that the driveway is Steep! Had a hard time getting up it in an AWD Highlander after a fresh snow.

The Perfect Northwoods Cabin

This property is spotless and beautiful. It feels very secluded, but is an easy, beautiful drive into Ely. The view is incredible from everywhere in the house and this part of the Burntside Lake is sparsely populated. We were here in November so no snow and now swimming, and yet it was so peaceful and lovely. We enjoyed the sauna and the Adirondack chairs very much! Also loved the fireplace, the comfy furniture and beds and the unique and giant dining room table. The hosts were so kind and helpful - they truly above and beyond and we were grateful for them! We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Fall hiking

Annual weekend with friends for hiking.lovely cabin & Enjoyed the beautiful view. Caught some great smallmouth off the dock. Did think there would be kayaks from the add. Lighting in cabin was very dim, could be much much brighter. Hard to play games at the large table or read. No hair dryer in upstairs bath.

We love lake life and believe there is nothing like Lake Burntside. It is pristine, serene, amazing for fishing and watersports or just canoeing and relaxing. We are a very active family and fell in love with the area as there are so many outdoor options. The town of Ely is full of little shops and wonderful people who show world class hospitality. If adventure is your thing you have to check out the famous boundary waters canoe area for a portage experience that might just change your life!
