Enjoy a lovely, custom-built home nestled in the woods located on one plus acre in Arnold. The Chaffalu Home is only a 2.5 hour drive from the Bay Area. The home (3000’ elevation) is perfectly situated near Bear Valley Resort (27 miles) and Downtown Murphys Village (10 miles), known for their charming Main Street inclusive of high quality cuisine, boutique shopping, historic architecture and boasting over two dozen wine tasting rooms. Outdoor activities include hiking, mountain biking, swimming in our private pool, local public-access lakes, skiing/snowboarding/sledding at Bear Valley Resort, 5 miles to Calaveras Big Trees State Park, approximately 2.5 hours to Yosemite and 3.25 hours to Tahoe.

The home has something for everyone: the peace and quiet of a small town, with charming restaurants nearby and wine tasting just a short drive away; plenty of outdoor activity options to choose from or just cozy up inside by the fireplace with a mug of hot cocoa. Kids will love the double bunk beds downstairs and huge playroom as well as large backyard with basketball court, sports equipment and toys.

The home was designed to accommodate two or three families comfortably:

Main/Lower level: Queen bedroom with new 40” smart TV and option to use full bath with shower/tub or separate half bath; kids room with double bunk-beds and room for an on-floor memory-foam mattress (located in the closet); fully-equipped kitchen with every small appliance and utensil needed (some spices if you have forgotten yours); recreation room with 40” smart TV with Wii console, Foosball Table, ½ shuffleboard table (grandpa made), family games, puzzles, coloring books/generous amount of art supplies, and space for an air mattress; full-size washer and dryer (brand new) in the laundry room; half bath; and incredibly spacious living room with big-screen TV with cable and a wood burning fireplace (firewood provided).

Upper level: Two King bedrooms with new 40” smart TVs in each room; full bathroom with shower stall.

The Kitchen: Stocked with everything you need to cook as if you were at home. Frying pans, pancake cast iron skillet, waffle maker, sauté pans, egg poacher,
deep sauce pan/steamer, steaming basket insert, blender, small food processor, juicer, rice cooker, pressure cooker, crockpot, electric wok, coffee mugs/cups, glasses, tumblers, speciality cocktail drink glasses, martini and margarita glasses, plates, bowls of various sizes, Tupperware, cookie sheets, pie pans, bread/loaf pans, Nespresso Machine, Drip Coffee pot and French Press, coffee grinder, microwave, double oven, platters, plastic pool tumblers/plates/baskets, marshmallow roasting sticks and food prep tools (garlic press, potato peeler, cheese slicer, tablespoons/teaspoons, measuring cups, wisks, spatulas).

Outside: Large deck/patio on two sides with patio furniture; in ground swimming pool (not heated and open May-September), plenty of pool lounge furniture and umbrellas; wood campfire pit and marshmallow roasting sticks and BBQ.
