Lake Life - located just steps to South Beach

Make Lake Life your home away from home for a luxurious experience in South Haven. The home has been recently updated and redecorated with modern, elegant furnishings from Arhaus and Crate & Barrel to provide the ultimate in comfort and style. This cozy beach house is perfect for family gatherings and accommodates up to 8 guests. The master suite is on the main floor, and there are 2 bedrooms upstairs and a half bathroom. The full bathroom is off the kitchen and features a beautifully tiled shower with a rain head fixture. The main floor kitchen, dining room, reading room, and living room have an open concept with plenty of comfortable seating for you and your guests. The kitchen is fully stocked for gourmet cooking, and the stainless steel appliances are all new this season.

OUTDOOR SPACE
The house features a paved patio with an outdoor dining set on the side of the house, plus a fenced-in backyard with a deck and additional seating. The yard is perfect for outdoor games (many provided in the garage), and there is a fire pit available to enjoy time with family and friends to make s'mores or enjoy the outdoor space into the evening. Weber gas grill provided for BBQs. The garage is stocked with Tommy Bahama backpack-style beach chairs, a beach wagon, and other beach supplies.

PARKING
The driveway allows parking for 2 vehicles. Parking in the street is allowed as well.

LOCATION
Lake Life is located within walking distance of the charming shops and restaurants of downtown South Haven (5 blocks), as well as Lake Michigan's South Beach (4 blocks). The Kid's Corner playground is very close as well. You can enjoy your day at the beach playing in the sand, swimming in the freshwaters of Lake Michigan, walking the pier, and catching the amazing sunsets. From South Beach, you can walk over to South Haven's new Splash Pad and stroll alongside the channel watching the boats pass by. South Haven has been our favorite beach town for many years, and we hope you will be surprised and delighted by your experience!

Great stay

Nice, clean house, quick walk to downtown. Comfortable beds- would have liked additional air conditioner upstairs… a little hot in the one bedroom. Enjoyed having beach chairs/wagon available and fire pit.

Beautiful Cottage

We recently spent several days at Lake Life for our girls trip. This is a beautiful cottage. Furnishings inside and out, decor etc absolutely gorgeous home. The owners thought of everything you need for your stay. Backyard was amazing. Yard, firepit, grill, kids toys - perfect!

Great house, great location

We loved this house. Would book again. Perfect for our family of 5 with small kids. Walking distance to playground, down town, and beach. The house didn’t have a few things that we have typically seen in prior rentals such as kids plates and utensils and a hair dryer. If it did have those things we just couldn’t find them. Didn’t take away from the perfect house for us though!

Great stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was clean and beautiful. The neighborhood was AMAZING. The property is a short (5-6 min) walk to all of the shops/restaurants/bars and the beach which is super nice. The only negative was that the listing stated that it had two twin air mattresses but we were only able to find one. We checked all of the closets. This resulted in two people in our group having to sleep on the couches. They were comfy, though!

Nice, updated house not far from beach, Kids' Corner

House appears to have been very recently renovated, which is nice. It's on the smaller side (~1200 sq ft, but the layout doesn't necessarily feel even that large). The shower is very nice, and having half a bathroom upstairs is good, too. It's not the greatest place for very small kids (we have a 17-month old), as the stairs are pretty steep, but our 3-year old did well. It's about a 10 min walk to Kids' Corner (and another couple of minutes beyond that to the beach), and less than 10 min to the downtown area. All-in-all, a nice place for a week away in South Haven.

Weekend Getaway

The house was very cute and just what we needed. Included everything you would need from pots/pans, extra blankets, cleaning supplies and games. Great location within 10 minutes walking distance to beach and downtown strip. Excellent communication/directions with owner. Would most definitely book here again! Only negative thing was we arrived at 2:40pm from our long drive and literally could not get into the house until exactly 3pm! Have not encountered this before.

Disappointed

Being honest I was quite disappointed in this rental. It took me a bit to think of the good parts because there weren’t many. Immediately walking in, all floors were dirty and food crumbs (I think) on the table and chairs. The router was off and we couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi at first. All surfaces were dusty. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The description stated there were beach chairs, but after messaging they said there were none. In fact they had some in the garage. The description also says 2 bath, but it should say 1.5 instead. The house could also use a couple more mirrors in bedrooms. The towels were clean and having access to a fire pit was nice, although it was tricky to start the fire. The text reminders were helpful.

Great place to stay for a vacation in SoHa.

Great place to stay for a vacation in SoHa. It was a bit small but we managed nicely with 4 adults and a child. The home is cute and comfortable. The backyard was small, fenced in and perfect for our 2 year-old grandson. One great perk was the location, perfectly located between a few blocks to the beach and town. This was one of our better picks for our vacation rental. The neighborhood was quiet and we had no issues with our neighbors. The realtor was kind and friendly; she came to our location promptly to give us a key to the garage. We will probably use Jaqua Realtors again and bypass VRBO, less expensive.

Family vacation with new baby

What a great property. Stayed here for 5 nights with my husband, daughter (3) and son (3months). Walking distance to the beach- even with little ones. Very close to downtown area. Amenities listed on the website are definitely not all inclusive as there are SO many things in the garage from games to beach supplies! The house is spacious and the layout was great- we felt very much at home here. We loved this property and made so many wonderful memories on this trip! Will definitely be coming back to South Haven! The only issue and I shouldn’t even call it that- we are a family who eats at home a cooks a lot- so we could’ve used one or two more trash bags. Other than that- absolutely perfect!!!

Beautiful house! Great location!

This house is centrally located to all South Haven has to offer. Its an easy walk to downtown, great access to the beach, bike trails, Kids Corner, and the Farmer's Market. The house is clean, comfortable, and has great decor. It was a great fit for our family of four (two adults, two children, 11yo and 9yo). The garage has a lot of amenities for outdoor life (grill, wagon, beach chairs), and plenty of outdoor space (with a fire pit) to wind down after a day at the beach! We can't wait to visit again next year.

Our stay was great. Lake Life was very accommodating. Kitchen well equipped, beach paraphernalia available, location close to town and lake, outdoor space. House has three bedrooms. Good value for price. Laura was great. Very helpful and accommodating. After deciding we wanted to stay a second week, Laura was able to secure a 25% reduction in the daily rate. Very professional staff; kind and courteous.
