Custom Built, Custom Decorated Gorgeous Lake Retreat - Lake Living and vacationing at its finest! Spectacular lake haven with beautiful lake views from all floors!

Custom covered dock (1500 sq ft) with bar area, refrigerator, oversized comfortable outdoor furniture, chase lounges, hammock and swim ladder for ease of swimming off the dock. Two Kayaks (single and a double), two stand up paddle boards, variety of inflatables available for use. Space to tie off/dock your boat. Relax and spend the whole day on the water!!!

Open concept kitchen/living room with huge granite island - Full wall sliding door opens to screened in porch for morning coffee or to curl up and read with great lake views.

Master suite retreat on 2nd floor features gas fireplace, TV, reading area, on-suite bath with full tile walk in shower plus washer/dryer. Baby crib in the master bedroom or bring your Pack and Play crib to set up in adjacent master bathroom.

Basement level includes third bedroom with lake views, full bath with second washer and dryer for convenience, Family room with comfy sectional, 70” smart TV and dozens of DVD's for family movie nights. Step outside to the paver patio for alfresco dining with large table (seats 10-12) and SS gas grill. Paver patio extends to fire pit with large boulder landscaping and gorgeous lake views

3 Bedroom, 3 baths all with shower (2100 sq ft) sleeps (6). Detached bunkhouse adds space for (2) more. Hardwood floors/solid surfaces throughout - Gorgeous custom home with custom finishes!!!

Smith Mountain Lake has it all - hiking, golfing, boating, fishing, kayaking, restaurants, wineries and breweries!!! Our vacation home is 5 minutes to the State Park and convenience store/gas station. 15 minutes to grocery store, restaurants and shopping. Less than an hour to Lynchburg, Liberty University, the Blue Ridge Parkway and Roanoke.

Our family enjoyed our fall lake getaway! Property was beautifully decorated with excellent attention to detail. We enjoyed the bottle of wine while cooking dinner and overlooking sunset on the lake. Very beautiful property, decorated perfectly to enhance lake life. The owners have thought of every detail to ensure your stay is flawless. This appears to be a newer property that’s well cared for. We rented a boat from a local marina to fish on the lake. Every aspect of our rental experience was awesome!

SML Lake Retreat

The property is just perfect in every way for a family vacation on SML. Clean, beautifully decorated, with top notch amenities and appliances. The boat house dock is amazing for the entire family to spend all day and the evening right on the lake. We rented a boat and had a place to dock it. Top shelf all around.

Kurt and Nancy have made this property all you could want in a lake house. From the beautiful dock to the kitchen stocked with everything you would ever need it was excellent. We explored SML from end to end. The quiet end of the cove location is perfect. We got lucky and arrived the night of the fireworks at Mitchells Marina. The fireworks from the boat were spectacular. From all of us, Thank You!!!

Best VRBO We've Ever Rented!

The SML Retreat was the best overall VRBO we've stayed at in the entire country, offering modern luxury and incredible views of Smith Mountain Lake. The layout was perfect for our family of three adult couples, offering both gathering places for everyone (living/dining room, back porch, and the awesome dock on the water), as well as separate private areas for sleeping and remote work. It would also work well for families with kids of any age. The house was extremely well stocked with linens/towels, kitchen utensils, kitchen/bath supplies, and outdoor grill and dining/seating space. A particular highlight was the boat dock, which offered covered and uncovered seating, two kayaks & two standup paddle boards with life vests, refrigerator & bar, and space for a rental boat or jet ski. The communication with Kurt was outstanding and very timely, and we can't wait to come back to this awesome property again next year!

Great Fall weekend!

This was the perfect mountain lake house for our group of friends to getaway, enjoy the fall weather, relax and play games! The house had a fabulous setup in the kitchen and downstairs for the group to hangout and cook or watch TV. We def will be back!

One of the best houses we have ever rented. The lake was clean and not very crowded. The marina nearby gave great service when we rented a boat and a jet ski.

Beautiful home and getaway

House was beautiful and clean. Everything possibly needed was provided and the beautiful sunroom was a favorite amongst our group. We had easy communication and quick responses from host. We really enjoyed the Cadillac of all docks. It was beautiful and comfortable and provided anything one might need to relax and enjoy the beautiful view in front of them. I have stayed at Smith Mtn lake for over 40 years and have never come across a dock like this one! Thanks and we will definitely book again.

Excellent Stay in SML

Our family has enjoyed Smith Mountain Lake for a number of years. This property was exceptional - clean, well furnished, and stocked with everything you need for vacation. The house was great - we really enjoyed the screened-in porch, fire pit, and the boat dock. The kids particularly enjoyed the separate bunk house to hang out as well. Kurt was super receptive to any questions and we'd recommend to any family looking to explore/enjoy SML.

Thanksgiving trip

What a beautiful property. Even better than the pictures. Owners were super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. House was well equipped. Would most definitely go back.

Beautiful and relaxing lake home

We had a fantastic time at Kurt and Nancy's gorgeous lake home. This is one of the nicer VRBO rentals we have stayed in. Super clean, comfy beds, kitchen was very well equipped, amazing screened in patio overlooking the lake, and a fantastic dock to hang out. Very close to Smith Mountain Lake for nice hiking! We highly recommend staying here.

New favorite at SML

We've been coming to SML for 20 years - the place on Surrey Dr far exceeded our expectations and will become our new go-to for renting on the waterfront. The house was new, so clean and just fantastic! Great floor plan for two couples with room to spare, kitchen was well stocked and appointed, tons of extras for cooking that most rentals don't think of. Cleanest grill on the lake, in my opinion. The screened in porch, the gas fire pit and the stone paths - wonderful outdoor experience. Now the dock - best one we've lounged on as far as space and layout - plenty of room to move around, stretch out and enjoy the view of a very quiet and protected cove. The floating dock was well-positioned - our boat was safe the entire stay. The dock also a full-sized fridge w/freezer. Rent this place for your next stay - you won't regret it!

Great Family Vacation

This was a great vacation for us, our adult children and their significant others. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for you. Having the sheet and towels provided was really helpful. The screened in porch was a great place to start our day with coffee and a good book. We will definitely be back :-)

Nice stay

Great house. Great Dock. Great patio. Great fire pit. Had two stand up paddle boards, two kayaks and a really nice blow up with two benches. Bar on the dock with fridge was convenient. Rented a pontoon and fit nicely on the side of the dock. Morning coffee on the screen porch was nice.
