This quaint, cozy, and comfy cottage is perfectly situated between the beach and the Sound. Steps from the bike path that runs for miles along the sound and just < a mile to the Ocean. This cottage easily sleeps 4-6 guests and features a downstairs game room! There's even a large backyard with a BBQ and fire pit with plenty of firewood. Enjoy relaxing in the living recliner, rocking chair, or cozy couch. Cottage offers several family friendly board games and downstairs game room.
Kitchen comes fully stocked with cooking supplies, pots, pans, dishes- Keurig, coffee pot, toaster, blender, etc.. home away from home! We are providing linens this year so Guests are asked to start a load or 2 before leaving in the morning before checking out.

Most importantly- clean! Everything was as expected. This was our first visit to OBX- you won’t be disappointed with the location. Close to Avalon pier and owner graciously provides parking pass to the adjacent lot.

Rest & Relaxation

The home was very cozy and the game room downstairs was a hit. Getting to the beach was easy and parking was a breeze. We really enjoyed our stay. I would definitely stay again.

Almost perfect

Well, I chose this property specifically for the game room, which was not as expected. I suppose it's my fault for not looking at the pictures harder, but I assumed the pool table was not a mini table. There were not enough pans/cooking items it the kitchen. Plenty of plates, but the rest of the kitchen supplies were lacking. The bathroom sink was mostly clogged the entire stay until it became totally clogged and we had to work to unclog it during our stay. The shower and shower curtain were growing orange mildew, so I'm not confident in the cleaning crew's job, that the fee is supposed to cover. For the cost and the lack of linens supplied I had expected more in the house supply wise, specifically in the kitchen. For the expense we were slightly displeased, but we did have a good trip and enjoyed ourselves.

Hi Kara, I'm glad you all had a good trip and enjoyed yourselves but disappointed you could not have let me know during your stay that the bathroom sink was draining slowly so I could have fixed it. If guests do not alert me of issues I have no way to know about issues until I am there myself- The sink got fixed as soon as I learned of the issue. Can you let me know which "kitchen supplies" are lacking? Again, I need specifics so I can address the concern so it does not become an issue for other guests- and regarding pots and pans there is one of each kind of pan there so I am wondering how many pans you think are needed or if there are pans missing? In the OBX it is common to have guests supply their linens as the cleaning crews are not usually there long enough to wash and dry several sets of towels and sheets especially during peek season- there are local companies that make a business out of delivering and picking up linens to cottages for this very reason- sorry you were not aware of this. I run VRBO reports for pricing and maintain competitive pricing for the size, area and similar listings (been doing this over 12 years now) - not sure you would have found a comparable rental for much less. Sorry it seems you had more negative than positive to say- I stay at the cottage myself several times throughout the year and work hard to maintain a family friendly cottage with amenities accordingly. I welcome feedback that is helpful to improving my rental. When my guests are disappointed, I'm disappointed.

Well Centered

The property was in a perfect location , being able to walk /ride near the sound side and just a quick shot across the main drag through a fun neighborhood to the pier for ocean side play:) My kids loved the game room and the home was well stocked and cozy for sure! Thank you to a wonderful host, who will keep you in the loop!

First time vacationing in NC and using VRBO. Great experience. Booking was a breeze. House was exactly as depicted in the pictures. House was spotless and the beachy decor added to the vacay vibe.

Nice getaway

Came up here to see the flight museum stuff. Property wasn’t bad. Had my 10 year old and 15 year old. And my husband. I think it could have used a little cleaning like sweeping and stuff. It was simple and the layout was nice. I appreciated the coffee since I forgot mine. We brought our own linens which didn’t bother us. KDH is a busy place during this time so it took forerver to get anywhere but the location was perfect for us. Kids enjoyed the pool table although one of the pool sticks has no cue tip but the kids didn’t mind. The AC in that room is amazing and the couch is comfy. Thank you for sharing your property.

Excellent house in OBX

House is very cute, short drive to the ocean, you can walk to the docks, great neighborhood and Jennifer was great, very helpful and responsive to all of my questions. Gave us great recommendations for restaurants.

Convenient location

Property was very clean and our kids loved the game room. It was also easy to get to the bike path nearby. Location is central to all the OBX towns. Bringing our own linens wasn't super convenient.

Very nice property

Had a wonderful experience. Cottage was clean and had all your necessities. Was close to the beach and shops. First time for us at the outer banks and this property was just perfect for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

Wonderful! Booked last minute, communication with the owner was awesome. Added touches such as- cooking spices, cooking utensils, extra phone chargers, etc really added an extra touch. Wonderful!

Quiet, cozy cottage close to the action

The location of this property was ideal for our family. It's in a quiet neighborhood, but close to great restaurants and coffee. We especially loved the paved trail along the sound front. It is just a short walk from the cottage and is a lovely place to catch the sunset.

Some of my best memories growing up were in the Outer banks and I hope to help others enjoy the excitement the Outer Banks has to offer!

This property has what I like in a cottage- walkability to the sound and ocean. If you are a paddle boarder, like me, you will enjoy paddling the calm mornings on the sound and if waters remain calm in the evening you can catch some of the best sunsets on the sound from your paddle-board as well. This cottage is next to the sound bike path so bring your bike, or walking shoes for hours of walking if you so choose. Enjoy fishing on the ocean, head to Avalon pier, less than a mile walk.
