"Batwood" is a two bedroom extremely well appointed property where you can watch beautiful sunsets over the water from anywhere in the backyard or deck, it's always ready for you! I have the best cleaners in the OBX...the home is always in tip top shape! My guests positive experience is my primary goal, after all... You have worked hard and have choosen my property Baywood to spend your time and hard-earned dollars, I want my guests to not only enjoy themselves but have a fantastic time and fall in love with Baywood.

Baywood has been recently renovated with new flooring, interior painted this year, the backyard is fenced for you & your fur babies, as well as new furniture additions this year! This home is an elevated beautifully constructed 2 bedroom, 2 bath sound front piece of heaven. Included with your rental are 2 beach cruisers, tandem kayak, and a canoe you can launch from the property's dock. An outside shower is available as well as a gas grill, firepit, & a dock and crab pots for fishing right in your own backyard. My very romantic and sound front home is an excellent choice to vacation with its proximity to shopping, restaurants, arts, sightseeing, laser tag, boating, fishing, bird and bear watching, jet skiing, surfing, kite boarding & eco tours.

Baywood is located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, surrounded by bike & walking paths and the house is located less than a mile from the nearest ocean beach. The new Bay Drive bike path which runs for miles and to the Wrights Memorial is right at the edge of the driveway. Bring your boat, Dock Street boat launch is 1/10 of a mile from this home. While the house is sound front, the tidal range (water depth) only permits canoeing and kayaking directly from the property.

There is a fully equipped eat in kitchen which includes dishes, cookware, cutlery, barware, & glassware for your every culinary need. Appliances include a blender, both a Keurig coffee maker and drip style types, microwave, dishwasher, gas range & oven, toaster oven, & refrigerator/freezer with ice & water in the door. there's even a big pot available for a crab or seafood boil! I have made every effort to stock Baywood like it's my own home, and want you to have a chef's like kitchen. Well, it kinda is "my home" :)

Provided for water lovers are a canoe & a tandem kayak (with lifejackets and paddles). Your water adventure and pirating options are endless with the many surrounding islands in the sound.

Check-out time is 10 am and departure instructions are included in your welcome letter and are also in the guestbook binder located in my home. Check-in time is set for 4 pm to allow my fantastic cleaners the time they need to prepare the home for your arrival.
