Welcome to Wicklow Cottage! Dream of escaping to the North Carolina Mountains? Nestled in a quiet cove surrounded by beautiful mountains, minutes from downtown Andrews, NC, you will find Wicklow Woods. Enjoy the peace and serenity that can only be found in the Carolinas. And just minutes away from our Andrews, NC cottage, you can enjoy mountain biking, golf, fly fishing, horseback riding, scenic drives, shopping, and white water rafting adventures on the nearby Ocoee or Nantahala rivers.

Wicklow is an Andrews, North Carolina cabin-style getaway. You will find a mini library and plenty of games to entertain yourself or the kids!

The studio has a spacious feel with open area bedroom, full bath and family room featuring flat panel cable TV with DVD. Sunshine fills the living area by day, and the fire pit and chairs afford cozy nights by the fire. The fully equipped kitchen features oven, stove, refrigerator, large microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker and additional small appliances. The dining table with chairs can seat up to four. You have everything you need to prepare a homemade family feast. Completely refurbished with new bathroom, appliances and furnishings.

The perfect getaway!

My family absolutely loved Wicklow Woods studio. It was beautiful and serene and the owners made sure we had everything we needed and more. My kids absolutely adored, seeing the donkeys and chickens and geese. There are plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the weather and the beautiful surroundings. The cabin was clean and there were so many things that were provided that we didn’t even know would be there, such as a fully furnished kitchen and a washer and dryer. It really made our trip special and we will totally be back. Do yourself and your family a favor and book this if you get the opportunity because it is awesome!

Loved this place!

We stayed here for our Anniversary.The studio was clean and very cute. Owners were beyond amazing. Communication was great and they are so nice.Donkeys are adorable and the property is beautiful.So worth the money!! It was perfect for my husband and I . Highly recommended.

Tranquility

Very relaxing with the sounds of the creek flowing near you. This rental was very clean and the bath products were a nice addition. It was a nice space for the two of us and the property was big enough to get some walking in. The hosts were great!

Great Hideaway

Great Hideaway, you’re find yourself on a one lane road that opens up after a half a mile onto a beautiful valley. Donkeys greet you as you turn into your cottage. Nice patio to sit with a cuppa coffee or a glass of wine at night. Horseshoes are always available to play and also feeding the donkeys . Andrews has a delightful pub that has great drinks and barbecue sandwiches. Also Andrews has a Rail pedal car ride that goes 5 miles and back. It’s a lot of fun. There’s also a casino in Marche that’s only about 20 minutes away . We will be back

Quiet and secluded

Beautiful place

We really enjoyed the scenery of the property. It was peaceful and relaxing. The animals were so much fun to feed and they ran when they saw us coming. It wasn’t far to town and we could run in for necessary items. Robin and family were great hosts.

Best VRBO experience we have ever had. The studio was perfect with all of the light and colors.

Property was great with a beautiful pastoral setting. The beautiful meadow with the stream, the pond, the fountain and mountain trees were outstanding. Adding to this were the two donkeys, the pony and the lone duck (which we fed every day). Highly recommend for a great get-away.

Perfect Getaway

So picturesque and comfortable!!!

I must start out by stating that the property/land is so picturesque and beautiful!!! When we arrived we were in awe of the beauty!!! So green with gorgeous flower beds everywhere ! We felt like we were on a movie set!! We were also met by Robin who couldn’t have been nicer!! The cottage was nicely decorated, comfortable and well stocked!! We enjoyed making fires, enjoying s’mores, grilling on July 4th and sitting outside enjoying the view!!! Our two little dogs truly enjoyed sniffing, exploring, running and sunning on the property!! We truly enjoyed our stay!! Thank you Robin!!!

Great for 1 couple and pets!

Relaxing

We had a very relaxing stay. There were a couple glitches, but all worked out well. The studio was occupied, so they put us in the much larger cottage. We had to wait over an hour for the cleaning to be finished. That gave us time to walk around the property. The other problem was the Wifi didn't work at all after fixes were tried. Probably made the stay nicer without our gadgets! TV was good and bed was comfy! Dogs were fun too. Very quiet place to go and hosts were great!

Luxurious Nest for Couples or Families

Amazing accommodations await in this gorgeous hidden gem. The owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming, they made us and our dogs feel like family. Our tots loved the splash pond, riding the go kart, and feeding the goats and donkeys. They also loved all the sky lights in the ceiling, they kept looking up and saying, "Wow! Amazing!" We were hooked up with a pack & play and high chair, which was super convenient. Firewood was available for the patio pit, we toasted marshmallows and carved pumpkins and gazed up at the stars. We loved being close enough to drive to the Smoky Mountains and visit Gatlinburg one afternoon. The property is a ten minute drive to a grocery store and twenty minute drive to Walmart, so no need to go far for supplies. We would recommend this spectacular chalet to our friends and family, and will rent again for future mountain getaways. It was absolutely incredible!

Amazing

Take your clothes and toothbrush, that's all you'll need. The cottage is just like the pictures. You're in your own little world at Winslow. Many activities to do in the area. Winslow is so much better than any hotel. Oh ànd take plenty of apples and carrots. The donkeys and goats just love them.

A Week on the Farm

I couldn't have possibly enjoyed my stay more! Wicklow Woods was enchanting. I had lunches on the patio with sweet Emma and Mason, fed the super friendly goats and the donkeys, and sat on the dock and read a book. The people in Andrews were friendly and I recommend you stop by the Burger Basket and Corner Coffee. Also Robin provided a "secret" scenic driving tour that was absolutely wonderful. Everyone should take this drive. The kitchen was more than functional, but keep in mind there is no toaster. The queen size bed is firm, but not too firm. I would definitely go back and stay again. This is a much better value than a hotel, and you can't beat the view! Perfect for couples, or single travelers like myself.

This property is perfect for privacy and its onsite features to relax and enjoy the surrounding mountains and noisy creeks. At night, you can study the stars or listen to nature without anyother noises or outside lights because you are on 10 acres at the end of the road next to the national forest and 10,000+ acres of forests and mountains.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Wicklow Woods is perfectly located for all kinds of activities. On the property we have a wonderfully large fire pit to sit around and enjoy. There are several ponds stocked with fish. We have horse shoe pits and plenty of room to play and run around in the well groomed pasture area. Kids love playing in the mountain stream that flows across Wicklow. Many people take leisurely walks and everyone takes time and visits with the miniature donkeys. Near by there are numerous beautiful walking trails, including the Joyce Kelmer National Forest , which is the last standing virgin forest . There are many rivers and waterfalls within the county that have nice scenic walks. Additionally there are on road or off road Bicycle riding paths. The 'dragons tail' is nationally known for its driving (cars or motorcycles). Our area is known for its world class trout fishing.
