From the moment you walk into this charming cabin you will feel the warmth and privacy of the home, the calm of the lake and the beauty from all its countryside surroundings. Nestled on Bailey’s Point with one of the best views of Barren River Lake sits this beautifully appointed 5 bedroom and 4 full bath log cabin. Sit, relax and enjoy the most beautiful sunset on the entire lake right on your back porch or bring your thirst for adventure on the lake by enjoying many of the hiking trails nearby. Our neighbor to the east is a quaint working dairy farm. You can see wildlife like deer and turkey in their fields while enjoying coffee on the front porch. Sometimes, when the wind is just right, you may even catch the smell of what makes the grass grow so good ☺️ To some, that may not be too pleasant and for some it may bring back great memories but either way it is temporary and hey, it lets you know you’re not in the city anymore, and that's why we come here!

This rustic log cabin offers two master suites on the top level each with its own bathroom. One master has a desk for office space. The main level has a bedroom with two queens and a full bath. There are two bedrooms in the basement along with a full bathroom. One basement bedroom has a full/twin bunk and an additional twin bed. The other basement room has a queen bed. There is also a fold out full mattress for two additional guests. The main floor boasts a spacious, well-appointed kitchen, bar seating , high chair, and anything you would need to prepare a gourmet meal. The kitchen adjoins the living room featuring a cathedral ceiling, flat screen TV and electric fireplace, perfect for relaxing after a day on the water. Step right outside the French doors and take in the picturesque views from the deck. Fire up the gas grill and enjoy a meal on the deck or side porch, also overlooking the lake. After dinner, bring the family downstairs to enjoy all the amenities of the walkout basement. In addition to a number of board games, it also features two additional bedrooms, and a flat screen TV for movie or game night with the family.The bunk basement bedroom has a tv equipped with a dvd only and there is a trunk full of DVD’s for your viewing entertainment! It also has an HDMI cord attached if you want to hook your computer to it. Walk right outside the basement door and enjoy a relaxing dip in the hot tub or just steps past the hot tub is a fire pit. We have firewood for your convenience to enjoy a night by the fire.

** Barren River lake cabins are somewhat high up....we would not consider it a "gentle slope" down to the water. It will take some guided steps toward the water but is certainly doable!


The house is a short drive from all the following locations:

1. Bowling Green -Lost River Cave, Chaneys Dairy Farm, Corvette Museum, Jackson orchard, Beech Bend Park– 40 minutes

2. Nashville – 1-1/2 hours

3. Louisville – 2 hours

4. Mammoth Cave, Dinosaur World and Kentucky Down Under- 30 minutes

There are a number of local attractions at your doorstep. Bailey’s Point campground
is right down the street giving you easy access to a boat launch for a fee of $5. Enjoy the public beach or rent a jet ski or boat at Barren River State Park and Marina, just 10 minutes away. Don’t forget your golf clubs, the challenging 18 hole course situated in the beautiful rolling hills of the park is also just minutes away. Mammoth cave, the Corvette Museum or Beech Bend Park are also just a quick 40 minute trip from the cabin. And for the little (and big kids) there is Lost River Cave and Chaney’s Dairy barn approximately 40 minutes away. Chaney’s is a working dairy farm and features fresh ice cream, milk, tours and an awesome playground for the kids!! In the fall it features a great corn maze!

House Amenities:

• Fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, utensils, plates, etc.), Coffee Maker, Gas Grill, Hot Tub, 4 flat screen TV’s equipped with ROKU that includes SLING (you can access other streaming services with your individual log in) , Wifi, Fireplace, Fire-Pit, Covered front porch with rocking chairs (Great for Sunrise), Side porch area for morning coffee or visiting.
Basement includes a Foosball Table, board games and a Play Station 3. For you music enthusiast there is a guitar and banjo for your playing enjoyment -we just ask for you to be gentle with them! Right out of the walk out basement are Cornhole boards, and a ring hook game.
