Beautiful log cabin on Barren River Lake on a wooded lot . Walk down to lake or sit on decks and relax . Has large vaulted ceiling in living room . It has 3 levels . Top level has two bedrooms and a half bath . One of bedroom has a private deck to look out at water . Main floor has kitchen , dining and living room and full bath with custom tile shower . Bottom floor has two bedrooms , laundry area and a den area . Deck has two levels to view lake from . Back yard has stone path to water feature . There is steps going down to back yard that lead to Lake . Comes with a Blackstone grill on deck . Large 75" Sony smart tv on main floor in living room and a large sectional couch . Downstairs den has a 42" smart tv . Electric fireplace on main floor . Kitchen comes fully stocked with dishes , cups , baking sheets and silverware and pots and pans . Pantry has paper goods and seasonings . Kitchen has electric stove , microwave , coffe maker and blender . Electronic door lock . Security lights on exterior . Propane Firepit on lower deck . Wood firepit in back yard . Stairs are narrow and kind of steep so please be careful

We had a fantastic stay! The lake access was incredible and the house was fun to hang out in too. We did find a large spider but we otherwise had a really great vacation here!

We enjoyed our stay! We all had plenty of room to spread out and had everything we needed for the week. The paddleboard was a big hit with the kids! Coffee on the porch overlooking the lake was fantastic!

4th of July getaway

The property is beautiful! We had a wonderful stay. Owner was great at responding to any and all questions. Unfortunately the AC had gone out the day we got there but he had someone out there the same day! Impressive especially since it was a holiday. We would definitely come back!

Perfect Getaway

It was a perfect little weekend getaway for the family. Really enjoyed the lake. Communication with the owner was fantastic.

Excellent lake getaway

Excellent clean property with beautiful lake views and natural light. Just a short walk to the water, house came with great kayaks and canoes. Owner was very easy and professional to deal with, would rent this property again!

Truly loved our stay at the Lakehouse.

This house was perfect for our family. Lots of space. Really close to the water. The lake is beautiful. The water toys were so much fun, especially the lily pad. We would stay here again for sure.

Great weekend getaway

We got together a group of teens and moms to celebrate end of summer and beginning of their senior year. The house was great and had plenty of room for everyone. The lake is lovely and appreciated the kayaks and paddle board. Everyone loved it and we would definitely recommend this place.

Excellent Cabin and Lake Amenities!!!

Great cabin rental for multiple families/friends! Great sleeping accommodations, as well as outdoor areas! Rented a pontoon at the state dock just a few miles away, and had a blast! Really appreciate Billy’s communication and availability for questions!

Great Memorial Day Weekend

Three generations of our family had a wonderful long weekend. The views from the multi-level decks was awesome. Our adult kids enjoyed the kayaks, launching directly from the lakefront property. The firepit at night was great to gather around and wind down for the night!

The cabin itself is beautiful and the location on the lake is excellent, with kayaks and swimming supplies provided; however, the condition of the property was extremely disappointing, especially given that we paid nearly 1,000 for a three-night stay. Upon arrival we initially could not access the cabin, though the owner did respond promptly. The exterior was neglected with overgrown weeds and trees, moldy and unusable patio furniture, and a grill containing maggots. Inside, there was a strong musty odor, heavy dust, spider webs, greasy and blackened surfaces, and windows so dirty it was difficult to see outside. The bedding smelled musty and dirty, there were not enough clean sheets, several beds were missing blankets and pillows, and only old, yellowed pillows were available. Kitchen surfaces, including the dining table, stove, and oven, were coated in old grease and food residue and had to be cleaned before we could cook for our children. After contacting the host, cleaners were sent to at least clean the floors and remove the maggots, which we appreciated. While we did enjoy the lake and a campfire, the lack of cleanliness and basic maintenance made arriving late at night truly devastating and the overall condition unacceptable for the price.

Spacious and Comfortable

We had different groups of family arriving at different times. I myself arrived at night so I didn't see much of the outside of the house. But the next day "WOW" lots of room so we could spread out and do different things. Both the inside and outside of the house was clean and very roomy. Would stay here again in the future.

We made a mistake in timing and ended up getting to the property late-- it's a little hard to find in the dark, and we apparently aren't good with electronic locks. But the host answered our phone call immediately, was super easy to communicate with, and once we figured that all out, we loved the cabin. It is in a wooded area and on the shore of the lake, so you need to be prepared it won't be spotless (that is impossible), but it was beautiful, well- stocked, and the beds were clean and comfortable. My kids enjoyed having so many beds to choose from (with 5, it's rare they can ask have their own space like they could here) and loved the kayaks and swimming in the lake. I wish I could bring the shower home with me (the kids loved it too)! We made great use of the grill and overall had a great time. If you want the feeling of seclusion while still being near people just in case, and if you want a nice house on the water to get away for awhile, I recommend considering this property.

Great weekend

Check in was very easy. There was an issue with some of the outlets on one side of the house but this communicated by owner when we arrived, and quickly fixed the next morning. We struggled a little having only 1 full bathroom with 7 girls but we knew that going in. But even taking turns showering we all had hot water so that was a major plus! This cabin was perfect for what we wanted, a nice quiet place to hang out and play games. Close to the lake with beautiful sunsets, though the way to the lake is a bit of a walk, it was so quiet and peaceful. Would stay again.

Great family time at the lake

We had a good time at the lake with our family. We enjoyed hunkering down, cooking our own meals, and spending time on the lake. We rented a pontoon boat from the state marina. I was disappointed that we couldn’t bring the boat to the property. They didn’t allow us to go under any of the bridges. We still had a great time. The host, Billy, was very responsive to our questions. Thank you.

Family fun!!

We had 11 people and we all slept comfortably with plenty of room to spare. While the Blackstone was awesome, a grill grate for the fire pit would have been a nice addition. We did have a lot of fun using the kayaks, having smores at the fire pit, cooking steaks and relaxing inside and outside of the property. Grandma and grandpa really enjoyed lounging on the elevated deck out back. Great view of the lake and the stars. None of us were too tech savvy to figure out the audio though, a manual should be provided for how to operate the electronics including the light switches. The property was so large, it took us a while to figure out the light switches. Overall, it was in an ideal location with great proximity to various shops and we had a lot of family fun.

Not the best option

The porch is falling apart, the dryer doesn’t work on all setting, some of the steps were loose going downstairs. Roku isn’t working downstairs, made manager aware it wasn’t fixed. Unless your 3 ft tall the upstairs bathroom isn’t usable. And the driveway has ruts in it big enough to get your car stuck.

Sorry to hear about your stay . Porch is not falling apart . Dryer vent was clogged and we had it cleaned . We checked steps and did repair one that was loose . Roku had to be reconnected to wifi . Bathroom upstairs does have a short ceiling but is usable and it shows in pictures . We did have a lot of rain and gravel drive wasn't in best shape but has been repaired . Over all hope yaw had a good time . Sorry for any issues . We always want our guest to have a great time .

Short Family Getaway

This property was in the perfect location - Just enough out but not to far. My family also loved how easy it was to play in the lake and the property owners had more than enough equipment to take down to the lake to make out time even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property to family and friends looking to stay in the area.
