Magical Cottage Right on Bolina's Lagoon

Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lagoon. Watch the pelicans dive, the seals frolic, the osprey soar as the tide ebbs and flows directly below the deck. Play in the sand and ocean surf(direct access to the lagoon from the deck), collect shells along the beach or kayak (Kayak and canoe provided) with the seals in the lagoon.

Hike or Bike in the nearby Golden Gate National Recreational area or along the Bolinas Ridge in the Mt. Tamalpais watershed. In minutes you can walk to town and browse through the diverse shops unique to Bolinas. Or, simply enjoy the magnificent views from every window as you snuggle up on the window seat or next to the wood burning stove.

The house was beautiful with gorgeous views. Lots of wildlife to watch. Very relaxing location. Cute little town. The only drawback, there wasn't a jetted tub as stated in the listing.

Charming, magical, would definitely recommend this property. The property is very spacious. Enjoyed the kitchen and living room very open, Love the fireplace, and the most comfortable bed.Great location on the lagoon beautiful panoramic views. Bolinas is the cutest little town. For how tiny it was it was very bustling. Don’t forget to check out Smily’s great bar and restaurant, friendly bartenders, and great live music all times of the day.There’s just something about being on the beach that is just so captivating, from the sea lions, and birdwatching to the shell collecting.Host was very communicative and accommodating. definitely will stay at this property again. Thank you

Very comfortable home with beautiful view of the lagoon from inside and out. Owners were very quick to respond and very accommodating. Note there is only street parking and there are stairs to walk down to access the entrance. Loved the binoculars and birding info in the living room. Helped give us close ups of great herons, pelicans and harbor seals!

Just perfect

We so enjoyed the seaside cottage. We were in great need of a peaceful family vacation weekend, and this was just the place. We found the town of Bolinas charming. The 4th of July community events were fabulous. We will be back!

Magical Indeed

This lovely Cottage is warm, cozy, and unique. It sits over the water in the Bolinas lagoon which affords one the opportunities to watch the wildlife, including seals and multitudes of birds, to watch the tides change and to listen to the humming fish (look that one up). I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay. I think it sums it up when I say that I actually cried when I had to leave.

Most relaxing stay most perfect home

We arrived to a much larger space than the pictures with a wonderful real home feel but well appointed and so comfortab They have thought of everything you would need !This doesn't feel like a trip it felt like a true vacation. We eat out a lot while away but we ate so often at the house because the view and comfort was just so perfect . We kayaked in the bay , fished , played tennis at the nearby courts in walking distance as well as the beach. We bought bacon from Bolinas market daily and had a wonderful meal at Smileys with ping pong on the patio. The meat at Smileys is so good all sourced from local Niman ranch happy cows!We brought games and books and just enjoyed the views the patio and the ability to open or close our windows when we wished. We saw leopard shark seals that are sweet and curious and so many birds. We visited Mt tamalpais park and did a drive through and hike at Laganitas lake which was easy and flat and beautiful and saw newts there and otter on the drive home we saw a bobcat . On our way to tomales bay for oysters we saw fox and Wild turkeys . Back to the space The owners were a delight and called us personally when I wanted to extend the stay ! The beds weee so comfortable plenty of blankets and pillows a pull out couch and two window seats in the living room for sitting sleeping and napping :). Views from every room even the front bathroom and bedroom ! This space is most relaxing with amazing hosts Best stay ever and we travel a lot!

Pre-retirement Getaway

The Magical Cottage in Bolinas is just that. It invites you in and hugs you tight—every bed, chair, window seat, couch and patio seat provide comfort and of course an unmatched view of water and mountains. Friendly neighbors including humans, crabs and anemones, deer, bobcats, foxes and—if you care to drive up toward the Point…a herd of tule elk!! Kitchen is stocked well for any level of cooking amd comm is super easy w/hosts. Wood burning stove was a big bonus for us! We loved our stay.

Great for a couple or solo trip

This is a 1 bedroom home over the lagoon at Bolinas, it is such a unique location. It's a few minute walk to the gallery, grocery store, and at least 1 restaurant is usually open. I was here in the winter, and as a reminder the main heat source for the house is a wood burning stove. It works fairly well to warm up the house, and they give you notes on how to get a fire going, and there is a lot of firewood available.There is a second bathroom in the main living area, so I imagine you could have someone sleeping on the pullout. But I would find it much better suited to a couple or a solo trip. I would definitely come here again!

Sunrise and sunset beach walks, fresh oysters down the road, making new friends and dancing at smiley’s, and ALL the birds!! I had an amazing time. Can’t wait to go back. Magical cottage indeed!

A Magical Stay!

I visited with a few girlfriends to celebrate a birthday. The property is absolutely wonderful, comfortable and in a terrific location - right on the water and only a couple of minutes into town or to the beach. The hosts were incredibly helpful and easy to work with. They even went above and beyond and started a fire for us on check in day. I can't recommend this property enough!

Great vacation

The views from the property were so beautiful. Even though most days I was there, it rained I walked on the beach every day because it was so close, and the cottage was so comfortable. I hope to come again next year.

Beautiful Location & Feels Like Home

We had an amazing weekend watching sea life from the living room and deck of this amazing home. The location is unbeatable, the host is very welcoming, and the home feels like family beach house, which is perfect for a stay in Bolinas. Our only error was not staying longer. Looking forward to a return trip!

Peaceful, gorgeous waterfront cottage

We really enjoyed this lovely property which really feels like a home, the owners have so thoughtfully decorated and equipped and maintained it. I loved watching the lagoon at different times of day and the tides going in and out, the bird life and the surfers etc. Bolinas is a special place, not as pretentious or crowded as Stinson Beach, it's like Berkeley on the sea, my people :)
